  • I Bought A New Camera, Panasonic Lumix LX5 from Digital Mall

I Bought A New Camera, Panasonic Lumix LX5 from Digital Mall

Hohoho people. I am back to the blogging scene, hopefully. Really very sorry, I guess you guys don’t want to hear about my lame excuses again. It’s just I am lazy and lazy to upload photo. XD One word, lazy. I apologize sincerely and I try to catch up with you guys when the real Internet access is available at my area as they are still installing at the moment.

So I want to share with you guys that I have bought a new camera, a compact point and shoot that I have craving for so long, it was the Panasonic LX3 but now it’s the Panasonic LX5 which came out like a month ago. Drools. Likes. Although it doesn’t really fit into jeans pocket but yet, it’s still a compact camera which does manual mode and as an alternative for my DSLR.

Have been using for DSLR for 3 years, taking that baby out for everyday and finally thought of lighten myself instead of a heavy gear. While this serve as a transition gear until I get a new DSLR, somewhere next year.

I checked out the Internet and seems like price everywhere is the same. I bought for RM1599 at PJ Digital Mall, First Floor Canon Stall. Good price IMO. Found the place from a forum. First time going there and shockingly looking the exterior a little bit ugly building but inside is just anoter Low Yat Plaza, filled with electronic, gadget and computer hardware, just that it’s smaller.

I went out that day with Victor, my school mate, Leo Club friend, also was my senior in Chung Ling High School. After buying that white sexy, I drove home.

GPS on my Nexus One, quite fast, quite precise but the POI not so updated, and no sexy “Turn right into Jalan Blabla”, but still rocks.

It was raining again here in Kuala Lumpur, my hand was itchy and can’t wait to touch my new sexy and I took it out for a road shoot. Shoot here and there to cure my itchyness. It’s a wonderful compact camera. I love it. No regret buying it.

So many people queuing for iPhone 4. OMG. Sigh.

Went to Sunway Pyramid to buy some groceries and tid bits. It’s nearest to my place so I went there. =)

This is not a rat, it’s a Guinea Pig, like what you see in G Force the movie.

    Han Tek, from Penang.

Han Hui, also from Penang. No, they are not siblings.

Went to dinner right after going to Sunway Pyramid as I was too hungry then I called my 2 housemates along. =)

LX5 Rocks! Sometimes also can’t differentiate which is taken from a DSLR which is taken from a LX5. Haha. Yo! Have a nice day. Writing blog so early is pretty fun.

  • Kelana Jaya LRT to KLCC with Penang People

Kelana Jaya LRT to KLCC with Penang People

Last weekend was an awesome, wet, tiring, reunion and fun Saturday to me. I get to go to downtown Kuala Lumpur for a walk, to see the magnificent twin towers which had become boring to me, see the gorgeous Pavilion shopping mall, the crowded but not as crowded as Singapore’s Orchard Rd’s Bukit Bintang. =D

From Bandar Sunway to Kuala Lumpur. I have found a way to get there fast, save expensive parking cost at Kuala Lumpur’s shopping mall and that is park your car or go to Kelana Jaya LRT then then the LRT straight to the city. I know people here might know it already, but there’s still from Penang still don’t know.

Haha. You need to use your Touch N’ Go to part at the LRT and you need to use the LRT service in order to have your car park fee at RM3 the whole day or else you will be charged hourly. Arron asked me why I knew about this, because I Google-d. LOL.

That day was a wet day because it’s raining on and off, cats and dogs, Tom and Jerry. Sometimes big, sometimes, small. Made going place difficult only.

That days attendee were me your blogger, Arron from Penang, Tee Jin, from Penang, Pin Hoong from Penang, Carmen from Penang, Xiu Xin from Penang, and Jing Min from Penang. OK, they are all from Penang. I don’t know what am I talking about. >.< It’s Saturday, it’s weekend and everyone took a day off from study. Some come far from Shah Alam, some come far from Damansara and the furthest was Sepang, which is 45 minutes ride from there. Woo.

I don’t know why, I have tell you before. I have something on subways and LRT. I just like riding on it. It’s fun. At here in Kuala Lumpur, there’s the KTM and LRT. KTM is nearer to me and I get free parking by parking at Carrefour carpark, but then I don’t want to use the service because of the slowness, and dirty. LRT is much more faster, frequency is like 5 minutes per train and I can go KLCC directly, though a Ringgit more expensive.

    What is this?!

I tell you LRT user, or whatever commuter user in KL, go get a Touch N Go car for your ride, save up time and make Malaysia more high tech. Utilize it, it’s not just for toll. I have one, bought from Penang and I pay for Penang Bridge for only RM5.60 instead of standard toll rate RM7.00. Special privilege.

Actually, there’s reason I go to KLCC because my lecturer asked me to go check out the HOMEDEC exhibition which is related to my studies. My friends who are not in the course were so kind to acompany me go there. You guys rocks. Thank you.

Super expensive chocolate, who can buy for me?

When we reached KLCC, we wanted to go to the KLCC, which is the convention centre but sadly it rain super heavily because there’s no shade or covered walkway or underground passes going there, do they? We didn’t know so we waited the rain to stop only then we walk there.

I don’t really know around in there, I seriously need a pro to guide me. That would be my dad, but he’s not around in Kuala Lumpur. Perhaps the next exhibition, I shall ask him along then explain each and everything to me. =) Superman dad rocks.

Bought some cheap magazine at there to do some references at home.

After KLCC HomeDec, the sky rained again! @#&%(*%)! We wanted to call the Sun come out but we didn’t have his number so in the end, we wait wait wait, then we take taxi go to Pavilion. Haha. The first taxi really shit, quoted us RM10 for just a walking distance, the next one was better, RM5, we 5 person hopped on and another 2 were under the
umbrella. Next stop, Pavilion, Bukit Bintang and go back home. ^.^

  • At Taylor’s Library Before Going to KLCC Site Visit

At Taylor’s Library Before Going to KLCC Site Visit

It was two weeks ago, on a Wednesday where the Sem 1 July 2010 intake student of Diploma in Interior Design went on a site visit to KLCC. It’s part of the module, Introduction To Design where we get to go on site visit and then take photos and talk about the place eg. architecture, the landscape, the interior design and stuff. Fun.

So before going to KLCC, we spent time in the library after lunch. There’s like 2 hours and we didn’t know what to do and go. Library in Taylor’s University is so nice so we went there. Everyone was like playing with cameras because we were required to photograph stuff at the site visit and later put into a journal.

Zhi Sheng the magician guy in class trying to con Connie with some tricks. =D

    Cher Huey.

I am starting to hate my Canon 400D. It’s so freaking ugly because I am a very hardcore user and I guess I have reach the limit already. I need a new camera badly, 60D, 3D? Hehe. My feel to photograph stuff has lessen already and I think it will only come back when I get a new camera. Saving and saving!

Anastasia and Nita hiding from the camera. Hehe.

I was pretty excited for my first visit because I haven’t been downtown for like two weeks after I came here. I am living somewhere outside town, it’s not as hectic as busy as colourful as town and I love downtown Kuala Lumpur a lot, where there’s many nice shopping malls and shops.

Wanyii, my classmate from Penang. Penang rocks! I miss Penang a lot.

    Rasyid looked so tired.

That day was also first day of Ramadhan Month, the fasting month. So happy fasting to all the Muslim people.

  • Orientation Day and First Day in Taylor’s University College, Lakeside Campus

Orientation Day and First Day in Taylor’s University College, Lakeside Campus

Oh my god. I have been away for so long. Don’t know why lately have been so lazy on the blogging job. Always slacking in my comfy hostel room or just hang out around the university. Life here is kinda fun, but I do miss home occasionally.

I haven’t been online like I do so consistence at home last time because Internet at my hostel is still not ready yet, I am on the DiGi 3G Broadband and it always DC and another thing is I can’t online 24/7 because of the capped and saving electricity bill. Somemore, I have homework and assignment already, don’t have many time to spend in front of the computer like before during the holidays. >.< Now I know why my friend seldom online when they went to college. Haha.

Taylor’s University College had an orientation for Julu 2010 intake students 2 weeks ago. It’s for everyone that’s studying in Lakeside Campus and basically there’s many courses available at the Lakeside Campus except Pre-U studies. The reason I pick this university is because it’s new and beautiful. =D I like studying in a place that look like a school than an office building.

It’s not really start of school yet but it’s an orientation to let you know what’s around the school and I was pretty excited for it because get to meet new people and back to school after the long 7 months holiday of mine. A little bit nervous also, because I knew no one at there. I have no friend of my age from Penang with me at there. Though I did meet people afterall.

Thanks to Leo Club, I knew Victor, a senior of mine in Leo Club and also during my high school. He also July intake student but on a different course. Then I knew who to mix with on first day. Oh yeah, luckily I was not alone. Rocks.

There’s like thousands of student. Business course have the longest queue which I think they have many students as for me in The Design School, there’s not super many but at least there still around 30 students in my course. At least it’s not less than 10. Haha.

It’s the boring talk about what the school have, what are the dos and don’ts, welcoming speech and blablabla. Didn’t really enjoy it as I was like keeping my hands busy on the phone. One thing, the hall was so damn cold and we spent like 3 hours in the hall. Hungry in the morning!

After the hall thing, we have our little own orientation. The Design School is under the Division of Engineering, Architecture, Building and Design. =D

It’s the same thing again, but not so boring talk by the Dean. At this place, I have to separate with Victor them already and at here I was by my own. Know nobody. But still, it’s fun.

After all the talk have done, it’s the admin work already. I have to go to collect stuff like t-shirt and take photos for student ID. The queue for this stuff was like so long and we have to wait for like an hour to get me in front of the line.

Victor, me and Yi Xiang. =D

After that just we just roam around the school, went to change password for the school portal thing and nothing much for the first day. Pretty free. Thanks

  • Day Out With Felix and Friends

Day Out With Felix and Friends

Here’s a day out with Felix, who is a 11 years old boy, and brother of Arron, my good friend. =D Few weeks back in Penang, I went to Queensbay Mall to meet up with Chen Yuen who came back from Kampar and many people. It’s had been a few months I didn’t see them already, many went to Kampar for studies. Soon I will be like that also because I am now in Kuala Lumpur!

So that day, afternoon I drove to Queensbay Mall. I went there to join them for movie, Despicable Me which is a very cute and funny cartoon and highly recommended if you haven’t watch. I didn’t think of going to the KTV and I was there early before the movie and some friends were in the KTV, so I went to visit them at Neway. My first time and last time of going to Neway Karaoke before I moved to Kuala Lumpur. Woo.

After movie, we just went walking around the mall as we have nothing much to do.

    Yiphing and me.

With Boo Teik and Chien Chern, they are the “animals”.

    Arron Lim’s brother, Felix.

    Ammerlynn, Chen Yuen and me.

    Sher Reen and me.

Boon Hooi, studying at UTAR, Kampar too!

I am wondering, how are you guys back there? Are you guys doing good? I am miss home badly. Sucks man.

  • Went To Watch Germany VS Spain Semi-Final

Went To Watch Germany VS Spain Semi-Final

2 more match, the third and fourth placing and the final game then world cup will be own, by don’t know who. Wonder when the Octopus Paul will do the talking. The little 8 legged creature is my idol! After the semi-final, Germany and Spain which it predicted Spain will win, I really very impressed with its performance. Really 100% correct for all the matches it predicted who-will-win.

Germany is out and I am so happy. 2 days ago, I went out to watch the semi-final at midnight. First time going out and join so many people and watch together and it’s pretty fun. Though, the match started at 2.30am midnight here in Malaysia and felt sleepy some times. Mom didn’t want me to go out late so she asked me out early. I went to meet up my friends, and they brought me to Inti College at Bukit Jambul at around 12am.

It’s kinda crazy right, going to college at that time, for what? Study as they said but what I saw was, Facebooking, sleep, but one was really studying, working out on math.

Because of it’s still early, we spent time at the college 4th floor which is a study area that opens for 24 hours. I am not a student there, they are. There were Zheng Feng, Boo Teik and Chien Chern.

Boring and cold night and I didn’t know what to do too. Just online a little bit, talk a lot, and watched YouTube a little bit. The place was quiet. After thinking for where to watch, we wen to McDonald’s at Sungai Dua, near to university there.

It’s super freaking crowded when we reached there. Outside is totally full and it’s only 1.30am. An hour before the match started and it’s full already.

The whole McDonald’s was like so messy because people moved the tables around to get close to the only one HD TV. Best thing of McDonald’s is the broadcast is in HD and there’s free refill for Coca-Cola. Rocks, and also free WiFi too. Just suck is there’s not enough of power point for my laptop.

Boo Teik was really sleepy at Inti but after having a Double Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, he was energized again. LOL. Now McDonald’s have a lot of double stuff, double big mac, double double cheese burger. Woo, really rocks.

Zheng Feng was really hardworking, working on math all night long! Non-stop! OMG.

Some ang mo came in after half time and was like “Fuck Germany, Germany Busted and blablabla” Kinda annoying. I think 70percent of the people at McDonald’s were Germany fans and Spain rocks! Haha, I was with Spain. I was thinking of overnight at friend’s place but given that I was still awake and not sleepy, I decided to drive home and sleep on my comfy bed. Yeah.

  • Hennessy Artistry at QE2

    Hennessy Artistry at QE2

Many many weeks ago, I was invited to Hennessy Artistry at QE2. Thanks to Yong Xiang who referred me to Hennessy’s PR people. I was pretty excited because going to an inviting-based event and first time stomping into the clubbing scene. I am not a clubber, but I do go to club, just for fun and look around. Haha.

I asked along Alvin, Jin, Arron (via yiphing.net), Boo Teik and Chien Chern to go there too. It seems pretty interesting because it’s my first time going to such event and QE2. Have been living in Penang for so many years but it’s my first time going to QE2. It’s more likely a pub/restaurant/club, facing the sea.

Cool stuff is that we need not to queue up long like others who register through the website for pass. We’re bloggers and there’s special lane for us.

Though, looking at the list, I did not see many Penang bloggers at there. Where’s all the Penang bloggers?

Upon registration, we get a paper band as passes to go in. Red color are for media/blogger which can access VIP and media area.

Regarding my bald head, I just came out from National Service not long ago. Haha. And I was already partying.

It’s pretty high tech now. There’s a TV showing tweets of people who tweeted about the event, I tried to get mine on but it’s loading slow. Do follow my Twitter. =)

The upper level is for media/blogger/VIP. Though, hardly find any familiar faces there. I know too little people.

Best thing of the night was not the music, or dancing as there’s not any dance floor at there, it’s the Hennessy that rocks, mixing with different mixer, apple, lime, coke or just plain water. Apple and lime were good. =D And one thing, it’s free flow!

Because of free flow, early early at night already can see people down on the floor already. I am not a heavy drinker, I can’t drink much too. Don’t laugh me. Haha.

Basically, people just enjoy drinking that night, and a little big of music and rapping by Joe Flizzow, Sona One and Ad Bangers.

It’s so freaking crowded and happenings in there. Want to move around also hard and one thing, it’s pretty warm that night as it’s open air, facing the sea. Sea breeze was not enough to breeze us up too. Sweating.

There’s also a food corner where the chef make food with Hennessy VSOP, though we didn’t get a chance to try it because the queue and waiting was damn long. We were so not patience.

Met some familiar faces at last, Povy, Jane and Sze Sze.

The free flow ended some time and we decided to leave that place as nothing much to do at there already. We were there just to see see and not get drunk. So we went somewhere else.

Well, it’s kinda rocks and like it. If any of you PR people do need blogger to attend your event, contact me. =D Hahaha.

  • Video: At McDonald’s, Sg. Dua Watching Semi-Final

Currently at McDonald’s, Sungai Dua, near to University there watching Semi-Final of Germany vs Spain in HD. McDonald’s is so happening at the moment. I am on Spain’s side. I am so sleepy now. Haha.

Live: Sitting at Inti’s 4th Floor Study Boxes

Hello people. I am sleepy but no choice to wait for the World Cup Semi Final match at 2.30am which is the match of Spain vs Germany. This will be a very exciting match as both are strong and the psychic octopus went to Spain this time. To know whether the octopus is really that powerful or not, we have to watch this match. If Germany wins, kill the octopus, if Spain wins, then the octopus own!

I support Spain by the way because I dislike Germany. Sorry Germany fans. =D

Right now, I am sitting at Inti’s College 4th floor study boxes at the hostel area with my college friends waiting for the match. They are studying and I am onlining, waiting the time to pass.

  • Batu Ferringhi Night Market and Hard Rock Hotel with Chien Chern

Batu Ferringhi Night Market and Hard Rock Hotel with Chien Chern

After going to the Region 1 Leo Club farewell thingy by the beach, I found out it’s still early and I have a feeling of going to Batu Ferringhi. I have no idea why I like Batu Ferringhi so much lately. Then I realised Chien Chern lived in Batu Ferringhi so I called him out for a walk.

Never knew that it’s so jam on a Saturday night, traffic was super duper slow, I guess it’s because of the Sixty9ine Mansion. So if you want to go there on a Saturday night, go at 9pm and slowly jam until 10pm when you will reach there.

I have not go to the night market at Batu Ferringhi for quite a long time although it’s like 15 minutes drive from my house only. Now all who go there are like tourists from the Middle East, even the worker who operate the stalls are not locals. Stuff selling there are always the expected fake LV, Gucci, Burberry and more which I didn’t even bother to take a look. Specs and DVDs are good buy at there IMO. Hehe.

Was thinking of going into Sixty9ine to take a look but it was so freaking full and crowded and have to wait. So we decided to go another place and that’s one of my favourite too, Hard Rock Hotel! Rocks.

There’s many of don’t know where from, Indonesian Malay I assumed and a Malay live band on the hotel lobby. Pretty cool.

    [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnoYNt-f2UE&w=640&h=505]

One of the song they sang was Hijau, which reminded me about NS life. I guess those who have been to NS will know about this song.

    LOL. Lame and vain.
