Christmas Eve Potluck at Boon Yan’s Apartment

Thinking back for Christmas’ Eve in 2008, I was having steamboat with Leo Club’s friend and in 2009’s Christmas’ Eve, I went to Boon Yan’s house for potluck dinner and they are also my Leo Club’s friend, with a few extra of my friends followed along and they were Arron, Chien Chern, Zez Chien, Chen Yuan and Ammerlynn. We didn’t know where to go and what to do, and Boon Yan invited me to her place for potluck so I brought them along.

Potluck is where everyone bring some food and eat together. I bought lobak. Forgot to introduce, Boon Yan is the current president for Leo Club of Union High School.

There’s lots of pizza, lots of french fries, lots of lobak, lots of sparkling juice and some snacks. My friend very lame, they brought banana, loaf and potatoes.

The whole night was about eating and playing the two Nintendo Wii game, Wii Sports and Bleach. I had the most fun on Bleach because the game is silly, it’s just keep swinging the Wiimote in the air and felt very lame.

  • Happy 2010!

    Happy 2010!

    IMG_2526-234 by nicholaschan

Still remember last year’s this time, I was in Guangzhou, lying on the comfy hotel bed, watching the fireworks of Hong Kong from the little LCD screen in the hotel. The outside temperature was around 11 degree celcius, I finished walking on Shang Xia Jiu Pedestrian Street and it’s so not-happenings in Guangzhou, they don’t countdown for new year.

I just came back from outside, this post was supposed to be scheduled automatic post but somehow something wrong with the server, so I repost it now. Went to see fireworks and ate supper and it’s a tiring yet funny day. Gonna think for new year’s resolution when I wake up later in the morning or noon, then plan my new year ahead when I am free. 2009 was awesome, 2010 I’m sure will be and I wanted it to be!

  • Leo Forum 09:Moving Forward Banquet Night

Last year’s Leo Forum’s banquet night theme was Black and White and this year it was just Banquet Night and I didn’t since when it’s called Moving Forward with a gold and silver theme until I was told when I arrived at the venue which was the Sunshine Banquet Hall. They gave us silver and golden star to be paste on the shirt or anywhere that can be seen but somehow, people took it off after some times.

I was not really fancy that night, very simple. A shirt and a tie and that’s me. Wanted to get a blazer before the event but didn’t really have a time to go and custom made one. I got a a tiny body so it’s not easy to look for one that suit me in the shops.

Incoming Tresurer Kenny Chun and Incoming President of Leo Club of Penang (City) Stanley Saw.

The meal was better than the night before because it’s not self service buffet, buffet is not fun because I hate queuing up for food and moreover there’s so many delegates. To be honest, I didn’t really eat much for this course dinner. One reason was the time interval between food was very long and I was so tired during that time as I just slept for like 3 hours the night before.

    IMG_5105 by you.

    IMG_5108 by you.

It’s a little bit stupid to see people moving around with the “Silent Please” sign, it’s just too noisy in the hall. One reason was, the food was not served early. Haha.

    IMG_5113 by you.

We sat really very very far from the stage and there’s not much entertainment going on that night. It was the top award giving ceremony. I got a Outstanding Vice President award in the afternoon on the same day and was hoping for a Top Vice President award but it went to someone else in Kuala Lumpur. Though, our club did got a Top Tresurer Award and that’s Jin Jie. =)

Food was not really important for that night as well as entertainment too. Award giving ceremony was already over and nothing much to be concern except moving around for photos. It’s the last night and need to take more photos for memories.

Photos speak for now, it’s just like a photograph night.

  • Live Dewan Rakyat / Malaysia Parliament

Today is the first day of the Dewan Rakyat or Malaysia Parliament debate in Parliament. After the General Election in March, I am getting more interested in political issues because I want the best Malaysia but of course I won’t join any party party in the future. =D Just to improve my general knowledge knowing this stuff. School don’t allow teacher to discuss politics so many people don’t know about it. We knew those stuff from the paper and Internet.

Still remember the ex CM of Penang says that Don’t Trust Blogger, but now everyone is blogging. Jeff Ooi, first blogger to be in the parliament, from a normal blogger to a real politician, salute.

Cut the crap. Since today is the first parliament debate of the new parliament formed, new Information Minister said that there will be 30 minutes of Live Telebroadcast from the Parliament in the morning. I am quite interest in watching it as you can see the opposition shouting and pointing at the Barisan National and vice versa. You shoot me, I shoot back you. Since I was in school, I got no chance in watching it, though I had found a short clip on the net, so I’ll share with you.

“Very disappointing,” Information Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek said when asked about the conduct in the House on the first day of the proceedings of the 12th session.

“We will reconsider whether the ‘live’ telecast should be continued because, right on the first day, it was grossly abused by the MPs,” he said.

Now the Info Minister said that he will review this live broadcast again. Boo. Want to watch the next live parliament, but don’t know got the chance or not.

    Live today :

An old parliament video, not gonna elaborate much, scared of ISA, watch it, very interesting.

  • Bagman (Caseman) Messenger Bag / 6 Million Dollar Home Clone

2.05pm, school dismissed. I went to Grandma’s house for lunch. Had a delicious lunch after that, I went to the camera shop with mom in KOMTAR. =) Did a little shopping and I got myself a new camera bag. Yay!

    Bagman

It’s the Bagman (also known as Caseman) Messenger Camera Bag. It replaced my RM50 camera bag. This is a real camera bag as it padded nicely inside. Fits all my gear too!

    Bagman

It looks exactly the same as the Crumpler’s 6 Million Dollar Home but less 1 compartment and that is the one for people to put magazines. Since I only keep my camera and portable media player, so I don’t need it. I still have space for a water bottle inside too.

    101_9345

Sky blue padding inside. Removable padding and hard enough for protection. Rain proof on the outside as it is claimed.

I got this for RM150. Which is around RM100 cheaper than the Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home.

A picture of 6 Million Dollar Home, by RippyZ. Isn’t it look just the same? Only different logo. =D

    Lowepro

In addition, I bought 2 Lowepro Lens Case. People will ask since I got a camera bag already, why still get a lens case? FYI, I got a lot of bags at home, from messenger to backpack, so sometimes when I take those bag out, I can have the lens case with me to protect my lens.

So when attending functions or event, this Bagman Messenger Bag is good with me as I can change my lens quickly and keep all my gear and accessories.

All these in total still not even reach the price of 7 Million Dollar Homes which I wanted to get last time. Cheer!

  • Clean Workstation

    Clean Workstation

My trial exam just ended and it was a mess during it. Spent 1 hours and more to clean up the study area and it looks sparkling clean right now.

    Let’s see before.

    And after.

I just love clean table, table with nothing except my monitor ! =)

  • Not Enough Feeling

The image “http://ourworld.cs.com/complex2d/ep5b.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Haha, today, 777, I went to audition for our very own in school singing competition. Not thinking of winning, just for the sake of fun, joyness of singing and to gain my dareness. I believe, some of you, ask you go sing also not dare to. Hehe.

Gain 1% of dareness. LOL. I am the last to go in to the audition room because they had made a mistake, they didn’t put my name into the list and I am the last one. This is the first time school having such competition and gets good response too! My form, Form 3 have 71 register but 61 student present.

Nervous? Of course la, but fun also la. I sang the song, 淘汰 Tao Tai by Eason Chen. They want me sing only the chorus part then after singing, the judge say I need to put MORE feeling into the song. HAHA. No chance getting into next level. I admit my singing is bad, but it’s fun singing. All judges are student, those Form 5s Form 6s people from the Choir.

They say 8.30 start, but afterall, 10.30 finish. Then follow up with Form 2, Form 1, Form 4 and Form 5. Every one was training to sing at almost every corner in school. So you go toilet, you will get to hear free songs as someone is singing.

  • Random Photos Taken In Chung Ling

Do you have special toilet for VIP? Very Important (insert youself, something start with P). This toilet is old one, we do have new VIP toilet at the other side, and I went in before. It’s lock always.

The new pay phone in school. Some more got SMS feature, 20cent per SMS.

My school layout plan. I remember Han Chiang’s school layout plan is bigger than ours, but ours is more colourful then theirs.

    Afternoon session recess time, 3.50pm.

    Play badminton, anyone?

My class notice board, I am in charge. LOL

  • I Play Drama

    Talk about today in school.

When arrived in school, don’t know why today so late already my friend still haven’t get the Star paper. I got 3 classmates buy The Stars in school because it is cheaper than outside, the subscription fee is RM0.70(per paper) x how many schooling days in the month. Outside sell for RM1.20.

I everyday also borrow from them to read. Spent like half an hour to read everything. Now I am following the Mongolian Lady Murder trial, so interesting, it’s like watching drama nia. HAHA.

Today I went to somewhere call the Bilik Gerakan (Action Room), never been there before, it was beside Principle’s office. Don’t know why teacher choose me and Geoffery go do a Malay drama play. She say it was for the oral test. Ok lo, I can’t memorize the lines well, so I have the script on hand, haha, see talk see act.

Few minutes come out already. Relief. Since the permission for us to go out the class is from 8.30-10.10, we were done at 9. So there is actually a waiting area out principle’s room. So we just sat there and read newspaper. Don’t want to go back class because it will be boring. HAHAHA.

Handed our Star NIE project. Teacher said our design were number 3 nice than the rest. I want number 1, but I can’t do great designs. Ate Wan Tan Mee and French Fries in school. Yummy! Then in class, curi makan (secretly eat) the Wasabi Peanut i bought. Muahaha.

  • Handphone is Dead

Have your mobile phone drop into water before? Maybe you can save it when it drop, then you quickly take it up. My one sure can’t save, I believe still can revive if change part and stuff

    .

You know what happen? It’s underwater, not just drop. Inside the water for few hours until I found it.

    Everything happened like this.

Yesterday, I went home from Gurney Plaza, straight go sleep cause very tired already after the run and shopping.
Then woke up that time, mom want me to go buy something with her so I look for my handphone.
I can’t seem to find it. I asked my mom to call to my phone, then Voicemail.

My mom thought someone I lost it and someone stole it. Then I quickly go find, but no luck.
Thought was in the car, but also no. I think no battery because I was camwhoring myself in the afternoon in the car.

But if no battery I sure woken up by the low battery alert. No chance I lost it, because I still remember I read a sms after I get into car when going back from Gurney Plaza.
I dig everywhere at home and realise will it be with my dirty cloth?

Holy shit, it is and mom fill the pail with my dirty cloth with water already. I took up and WTF, my phone no more. KNNMCBKK! T.T

At least I have a backup old phone at home for me to use.

But stupid! I have a picture of me taken at USM after the Penang Bridge run in the phone. Haiz, I need my uncle send me again. =( and many useful messages and contact no more already. :'(

Nokia, Sony, Samsung want to sponsor me a phone? I help you do review for free. HAHA
