Jonathan & Samuel’s Birthday At Moji Karaoke In Newcastle
Jonathan & Samuel’s Birthday At Moji Karaoke In Newcastle – A birthday celebration in Newcastle, a good Chinese food dinner at Moji’s Karaoke and Restaurant, the first KTV in UK and it was a good night. Happy birthday Jon & Sam!Just to let you know, KTV at here is not cheap at all. It’s not charged according to head like in Red Box or Loudspeaker. It’s charged by hours and the size of room and we picked a package of £168 which allows us to eat and drink up to £168 and includes 2 hours of KTV, additional hour costs another £25. So what do you think? But it was a fun night after all, I miss KTV with my girlfriend and friends back in Kuala Lumpur!

Friday Night Karaoke @ Loudspeaker
Friday Night Karaoke @ Loudspeaker – It’s seems like getting back to the days like in high school where I will go to the karaoke Red Box once a month. Though, it’s with different gang of people right now, it was a one group of batang guys, and now interior designers mostly. Ahh, I just love singing and hope that I can sing well but too bad I am bad in singing.Weekend was very awesome, tiring yet fun KTV until midnight because it was after a long day of work, hiking in the early morning then out to the city for whole day. So it’s pretty much filled up for the last weekend. For the past two years in college, I found no one to sing with, and now, I am happy that I have a group of friends who go to KTV often.
Wei Kean, Connie, Quenna and Hwa Jie was the company of the night.
Not to say my favourite KTV spot in Kuala Lumpur, but it’s cheapest and nearest. I still prefer Red Box for the choice of song and a better sound system. Well, KTV, yeah, do you like to sing? -

Post-Thaipusam Karaoke & Lots Of Birthday
Post-Thaipusam Karaoke & Lots Of Birthday – Last Monday night, I went to KTV with a bunch of uni friends, it had been a while that I’ve been to the KTV and you know during high school time, I go karaoke at least once a month! Oh, now it seems like the feeling for karaoke, screaming like crazy in the KTV room is back!Actually that day I was very paiseh at there, because that it’s actually a birthday celebration for many people! I felt so bad and embarrassed that I didn’t know it’s a celebration, and I went there empty handed. =( Argghhh oh my, sorry friends that I know nothing about it and I wish you all happy birthday from here. So to prevent myself from feeling bad, I kept myself not to think my singing non-stop. Hahaha. But sincerely, I do wish you all happy birthday, Dai Lou Wei Kean, Dai Lou girlfriend – Iris, Zhi Inn, Quenna and Connie. =)
Connie, Dai Lou Wei Kean, Iris, Quenna and Zhi Inn. =) The KTV destination was Loudspeaker and K at night was RM27 per person for 3 hours with free flow of drinks. Well, price is OK but the duration was short. 3 hours only, ended everything at 1.30am and I still felt early despite I have work the day after. HAHA, guess I played too much for the last weekend already.
Hug hug.
Henry Gor! Anyway, it was a fun night. KTV rocks! But no K-Pop song please, I am Chinese song singer. Haha.Photos are taken with Canon 60D and Tamron 17-55mm f2.8

Trip To Penang: Pulau Tikus Lok-Lok & RED KTV
Trip To Penang: Pulau Tikus Lok-Lok & RED KTV – This is the last part of my Trip To Penang series and I’m gonna blog about something else already. Yay? Anyway, after an afternoon at the beach, we actually went to Gurney Plaza for a little walkaround and dinner, but that’s not the main thing, the main thing was what happened after that and that’s to eat Lok-lok at Pulau Tikus and later chill out at RED KTV.Penang’s Lok-lok is famous, especially at Pulau Tikus because of its cheap prices, varieties of sticks and also varieties of sauces, that you can hardly find elsewhere. How can I not bring my friend to check out this Lok-lok place? By the way, it’s again a private tour for this few friends because I do not drive a van. After lok-lok, a short tour at Straits Quay for them to check out the high end part of Penang where high end yachts are docked and a beautiful seafront promenade is. It’s time to get amazed. Penang is not just a UNESCO World Heritage City with old houses, but there’s a nice modern part developing around the island.Last segment of the day was a chill out session at RED KTV at Bellisa Row which I’ve not been for quite some times already. Still has the very strong smoky air, but karaoke at there was funner as lesser people were there and the lounge added a pool table for free play. So now I conclude my Trip To Penang and it was a fun trip with my classmate and hopefully there will be more trip like this. -
Red Box KTV At 1st Avenue
I went to Red Box at 1st Avenue last week with my high school friend, Arron Lim, Yan Chien Chern, Tan Tee Jin, Ng Yan Duan, and Tay Zez Chien. Haha. It was a good gathering as it had been some times that we didn’t go to the KTV together.
To share with you something is that during high school time, we go to the KTV at least once every two months. So we were quite a frequent Red Box customer.
Last time Red Box was only available at Gurney Plaza, but now there’s another place to go KTV, which is 1st Avenue. We didn’t book a room but then there’s quite plenty of KTV rooms for us.
We paid for student price at RM8++ per person and the session was 3pm to 7pm. It’s quite a long time for us to sing.
The afternoon was fun, we sing, we scream and we get crazy. It was a nice gathering with them. It really brings back the memories back when it was high school. =D

The RM1 Red Box Karaoke Promotion at 1st Avenue

Chien Chern doing some exercise 2 hours before.Karaoke have never been so cheap to me except singing it and screaming with my own in my living room. Red Box Karaoke is my favourite k-ing place in town, Penang, Kuala Lumpur and almost anywhere that have the outlet because it’s cheaper than other which have nice low price student package.
Usually, a normal karaoke session will cost me about RM10-RM15 depends on time and day. I would never spend on the most expensive one which is the buffet dinner at RM38++ per person. Wow. But recently, I spent even lower for karaoke which is at only RM1+! Yes, it’s freaking-ONE-ringgit-ONLY!
In conjunction with the latest and 2nd outlet of Red Box outlet in Penang at the new 1st Avenue shopping mall, they came up with a promotion collaborate with the local daily. Guang Ming Daily for a promotion of singing k at only RM1. The best part of all is that you get what you get at that session. For example, if you go at buffet dinner K at RM38++, you pay only RM1+ and you get the buffet dinner too! =)
But, but, but, but, there’s a but, which is that you have to queue up long long as it’s only limit to 50 people per session and the promotion voucher is not available on Guang Ming Daily everyday, you need to spot for it.
Guess what, I went to this RM1 karaoke twice! =) Once with my dearest Hueisean, and another time with the boys.
The first one was the earliest, brunch K to me and her. We arrived at about 9.30am and I guess we were the earliest, we only get into the queue when there’s people queueing for it and that’s around 9.45am, then we only need to wait 15 minutes for our turn. Yo, this rocks. We had rice for brunch there. =)

The boys. Me, Cheong Kin, Zez Chien, Arron, Zheng Feng and Chien Chern.
Started queing 1+ hours before.
Luckily we have an iPad to pass time. The next visit was on Friday night and we went for the midnight karaoke at 12am. The original price is RM28++ and this time was a long queue for me because we started on the line at around 10.30pm and we waited for freaking 1.5 hours. But the wait is kinda worth because I never try midnight K before and I got buffet supper. Oh yeah. And the singing time was very long, from 12am to 4am.
After the buffet supper and singing for like one, two hours, I started to feel sleepy already and didn’t really sing much. Haha. Half awake while sleeping.
Though, everything was fun, going with dearest was sweet and fun, going with the boys was crazy and shouting, Went home at around 4am and the parking ticket was RM5. WOW. So it’s not exactly RM1+ (RM1.10 with tax) karaoke. Haha, but still worth the fun. Yoyoyo.

KTV, Cards and Talk at Martini Cafe
Last Friday, there’s actually a gathering at Kayu Nasi Kandar at Bukit Jambul but it was late and raining, and Kayu Nasi Kandar is like 30 minutes away from home so I decided not to go there. And at almost late night, Yiphing asked me out to Martini Cafe near Gurney Drive, somewhere like 5 minutes away from my house only, so I went. =)
Never been there before, I thought the place is just like a normal cafe for drinks, alcohol and some football TV but there’s more. There’s KTV there, LCD screens, mic and we can sing like at RED KTV, except with food and more choice of drink, unlike RED has only alcohol.
And another thing is, there’s less TV and more table, singing took a long time only reach our table and the sound system was not pro enough, though I still like karaok-ing. Singing is my hobby although my singing sucks. Who can teach me how to sing properly? T.T
Well, people there were Shan Shan, Yee Ling, Eunice, Jick, Yiphing and me. They are TAR College gang except me and Yiphing. I has no gang because I am still not in college yet. Simply mix around now. Haha.
The night was just talking, playing big2 cards and wait for our turn to sing. Whole night, I got to sing 3 songs, waited quite long but like it.
There’s singing pro in the house too, the baby face Yee Ling, don’t think that she’s a kid base on her look, when she sings, she’s professional. Really pro.
Spent there till like 1.30am and I went home.

Red Box Lunch With A Little Bit Of 4SA5/08 Buddies
Still remember last time, when I was in class 4SA5, 2008, we would go to Red Box karaoke together almost once a month after school on Friday. Going to karaoke or the shopping mall was like already became a routine for us as things to do after finishing our exam or test.
We went in a big group like 10-15 peoples, and slowly, now, there’s only 6 of us in the karaoke room few days ago. After graduation, everyone busy with their stuff already. I miss 4SA5, seriously.
Arron was the one who called us out that day. 6 turned up was actually not bad already, there’s me, Chien Chern, Arron himself, Zheng Feng, Cheong Kin and Zez Chien. Arron is going off soon, going to Sepang to study and so leaving us here, and this would be our KTV farewell together. I don’t like the feeling of farewell and say bye bye, it’s not a happy thing. I don’t want, but soon it would be my turn to leave Penang also. =(
There’s lunch for us too, but it’s more likely a breakfast to me because I woke up, bath and straight away went there already, I didn’t eat my breakfast at home. The first person to arrive was Arron and next was me, so I wasn’t very late too which I thought I was late because we were supposed to meet at 11, but I was there at around quarter pass eleven already. Hehe.
Not a good singing day for me because after coming back from the recent Penang trip with National Service friends, I fell sick a little bit, I had a little bit of coughing and runny nose, caught a cold, but it’s getting better now, thanks to drinking lots and lots and lots of water.
Though, I did sing also, but not many, and not super high. Breakfast and see them happy would be my main reason of being there. I love outing together, really miss the day back in Form 4, really crazy.
The karaoke and breakfast session was not very expensive, it’s only RM11.50 per person which include the food and drinks. ^.^ We finished at 2pm.
The last part of us was seeing friendship related songs together. Awhhh, we must keep in touch, and appreciate your friends now!

Me, Zheng Feng, Chien Chern, Cheong Kin, Arron, Zez Chen. After Red Box, we went for lunch then to cinema watch The Killers, kinda funny, lame, pointless, but enjoyed it! =)

Away to PLKN (Day 69): SPM 09 Celebration At Red KTV and Bistro
Really want to thank Ker Ying for introducing this place to me and I like it. It’s RED KTV and Bistro at Belissa Row. You sing, you drink and you play. It’s fun. Although you don’t get a room for yourself like at Red Box, but it’s still fun because you get to hear other people sing. Only sometimes, when there’s many people at RED, you will have to wait a little while longer only get to sing.
That night, after school, after Gurney Plaza, we went to RED to sing and drink, as a celebration for getting SPM result. My result was NOT-BAD only, so it’s not good yet but still I wanted to celebrate for getting the result and no more waiting. You know, waiting for the result is saddening and uncomfortable.
3 months of waiting, played a lot and felt slacking and lazy so much. Shit that I’ve forgotten stuff that I had learned in high school before. Gonna stop all the slacking and go back to school soon, but it will be in end of July, still got very the long time.

Arron, Zhao Wei and Chen Yuen.
Jia Rong, Andy hiding, and Arron. Arron was so high that night. There’s me, Arron, Chien Chern, Yiphing, Chen Yuen and Sher Reen. RED was not quiet that night, we also met other friends like Zhao Wei, Elaine, Angellyn, Andy, Alvin, Jia Rong, Wallace, Ying Ting and more! Real fun.
We also met a RED KTV fans, who asked us to join RED’s fans page in Facebook. Till now I still couldn’t find the page, anyone know?
Fun night we had at there. Just scream too much until no sound.

Away to PLKN (Day 25): Ker Ying’s 18th Birthday at RED
NS! Around 80 more days to go. Very the long!
Shit, this was like a few weeks ago, sorry for so long no update your birthday, Ker Ying. =) On the very nice 2nd day of March 2010, at night, Ker Ying called me to RED KTV and Lounge at Belissa Row. She said it’s not really a birthday celebration, but somehow we already assumed it was and there’s birthday song too, just no cake!
It’s my first time going to RED. She told me how fun, how nice the place is and asked me along to check it out. Woo, it’s a lounge down there and up there is KTV. So basically, we sing on the upstairs and downstairs, people sing for us. I love KTV a lot and we had so much fun that night.
Met people like Mig, Terrence and Ernie. Gonna thanks Mig for the beer that night. ^^

Ker Ying and Sheue Yen who was still in her air stewardess uniform.Happy belated-birthday girl! It’s second year celebrating your birthday together already. Last year was at Manila Place and Segafredo. =)
Sorry guys, more belated-birthday write-ups are coming up. Hehe
