  • My Experience with SONY Cyber Shot

    [CONTEST]

The king and first large 3.5inch touchscreen camera is a wonderful camera that my brother owns which now I am keeping this little baby for him. The Sony Cybershot T200 is the camera that you see in the above photo, with a gorgeous, sexy big touch screen. Sony still make sexy Cybershot camera by the way!

I want to write about my experience with the Sony Cybershot and so I want to rewrite one of the post that I have written before, sharing photos that I have taken with the Sony Cybershot! =D I now want to bring you back to the days during my high school time which I brings the camera every day to school, yes, every single day.=D

Science class is always fun, especially in Chung Ling High School where crazy bunch of Chung Ling student who are serious and at the same time playful. We play and we learn at the same time. Teacher always thought that we were not serious, but in fact we did actually listen to what they thought us. I serious.

Look at the face above, every was was so serious to check out the experiment. So fun and I was taking photo at there. HAHA. Yet I got A for my Science subjects by the way. Wakaka.

    Then…

Someone (Shi Hun) smiled to the camera, where the class started to get hardworking, hardworking in being playful. You know being hardworking in playful is really very fun and crazy.

That’s right. Some say Chung Ling boys are naughty, in fact we were not. We were bunch of diligent kids. HAHA. And over-active a bit, talk a lot, being lazy and hardworking at the same time, I guess that’s make people think that we were naughty. No, we weren’t, we aren’t too.

Lalala. High school was the best and happiest moment and luckily I’ve got the camera to capture the memories! Yo 5SA1 of 2009, are you here?

  • Wesak Day Parade At Bukit Bintang

3 weeks ago, it was Wesak Day, or Vesak Day known to some people. I don’t really know which is the correct spelling but I still prefer calling it the Wesak Day. It’s a Buddhism religious festival, that is the birth of Lord Buddha. On that day, I went to Fo Guang Shan Dong Zeng Temple to pray in the morning and bath the Buddha, and at night, I went to Bukit Bintang to check out the flower floats parade.

I actually thought of going to the temple only and didn’t know what there’s a float parade too in the Kuala Lumpur city until I read about a newspaper article about the event at Bukit Bintang. The floats parade procession started off at Brickfield with a route or approximately 12km and will passed by Bukit Bintang area at night. Since I did join the parade before in Penang, so I went to check out the one at Bukit Bintang.

I thought that I would be in Penang that time but due to finals exam and assignment submission, I had to stay in KL.

It was about 8.30pm and I still saw no sign of the float of people on the street. I thought I got it wrong, I thought they have passed already while I was shopping in one of the shopping mall around the area. Then I look around, I saw policemen in the middle of the road with cones. I waited for a while and I saw they start closing the road and then I knew that the float parade hadn’t passed that area. =D

I waited quite long as the after the road closure, I and my friend Arvin waited until like 9.30pm only there’s sign of it. Though we got first class view of everything. =D

Finally at around 9.30pm, the parade is here. With Buddhist devotee leading the way, follows by floats and devotees of different Buddhist association followed behind. I got excited and started to take photograph and pray.

It’s pretty surprised to see so many people as the amount of people was for sure many many more than the one in Penang, with even more floats.

I believed the people have walked a long way to here and it was a pretty warm night as you can see perspiration on people’s face and some have towel hang over their neck. It’s also kinda cute to see that they brought their pet dog along too.

    Floats promoting a green Earth.

It was funny before the float came as there’s not many people waiting for it, I think we are the few who waited for since 8.30pm and when around 9pm that the road were closed, busybody started came by to check out what’s happening and the funny part was some busybody asked us that was it some film shooting scene. Haha. Come on, it’s Wesak Day.

There’s many cute cute floats with little kids dress in Chinese goddess on it. Monks sprinkling the so-call Holy Water to the masses and voice of prayers can be heard. It’s really a holy and happenings night where everyone of different race and religion and join in.

    Nice sleeping buddha.

Distributing free mineral water to the public.

    Cute little monks.

Thousands and thousands of people gathered around Bukit Bintang just to see the floats. It’s really a sea of people with police and medic team standby.

    There’s even lion dance too!

    Arvin Tang.

The whole parade took about 1 hour plus and there’s really many many floats which all were so awesome. A good night out with my classmate Arvin to check out the Wesak Day. Arvin who is from Medan, Indonesia never came across with event like this before and it’s his first time. He said it was quite fun and special and he liked it. Cheers!

  • KLPAC, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre At Sentul Park

I am having a holiday right now. Say yeah! It’s very good to take some times off but I have some Internet stuff to run throughout the holiday just like updating this blog for some nice photo content to share with you guys.

Well, before the semester ended, my whole class of Diploma In Interior Design of Taylor’s University went to a site visit to KLPAC (Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre) at Sentul Park to check out the site and architecture stuff.

Actually I have been hearing about how nice how nice about this place and finally I get a chance to visit it, thanks to my lecturer of Design Theory, Miss Veronica Ng who arranged the trip to us go and see, feel and learn.

The KLPAC is located near Jalan Ipoh, in a park call the Sentul Park and it’s pretty far from where I am residing at, the Bandar Sunway. It takes about half an hour drive from our campus to there. We went there by our school bus which we have to pay RM10 for the bus fare.

The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre, simply and commonly known as the KLPAC is situated in an old railway warehouse building. Looking very artistic with the cool red bricks and a little bit of heritage and ‘back-to-the-days-retro- feel, it senses sensory cell of the artistic side of me.

It was a morning and I was told that it even look better when the lighting are on during the art. Can’t wait to check out some show at there during the night. =)

We have a guide who brought us around the place and tell us about the architecture and some story behind the building. Miss Veronica brought along her cute little son too, Ethan!

Actually, there’s not much in there, it’s all the studio and 2 theater halls, then a little reception area and that’s all. We were only brought to the main theater hall that they call it the Pentas, known as stage in the local Malay language.

Upon entering the Pentas, it gives me a very raw and open feel because of the building material used around the place, yet the colourful seats cheer me up and makes the raw feel turns to something freshy, energetic and happy.

Some interesting facts about the KLPAC is all the shows have no specific dress code to enter the theater, which means you can wear singlet, shorts and slippers.

On the other hand, there’s no VIP zone as they want the theater to be a theater for everyone, same class level, no racism. And the cool stuff is that the first row is on the same row as the stage.

    Colorful seats!

Raw material on the side wall for acoustic function.

    Aida, Fanah and Hanan.

Kent Tan and Kevin To playing with the piano. Please ignore Kevin’s expression. LOL.

Just a random shot about the male’s.

Spent quite some times in the Pentas, enjoying the show of nothing on the stage and act like enjoying the show. After that, we went outside to the park. Yeah, there’s a nice park and little lakeside for people to chill and relax. It’s so nature and feels like it’s somewhere so-not in the city, but in fact this is almost in the middle of Kuala Lumpur city.

    The Picnic

In fact, we had picnic outside, an idea by our lecturer of Design Theory, Miss Veronica Ng. She suggested of bringing food and share with friends and I want to apologize for not bringing any food there but I and my friends did contribute a few big bottle of mineral water. =D

There’s a nice lake of the view and some greens to see but unfortunately sun shines and there’s not much breeze around the place, it’s pretty warm and hot at that time.

Vincent Lee brought a guitar along and there’s music. For your information, the whole park was filled with voices and cheering of us as there’s no other people use. =D

They played balls, for a while.

    Cute little Ethan.

The best part of the day was the food eating session in the outdoor, the PICNIC! There’s some tid bits, bread, nugget, macaroni and cheese and cake. They all so awesome, made by my classmate.

See below and you will see everyone was so happy with the food.

Spent about an hour plus eating and playing guitar and singing and shooting around and we took a group shot, after that we went back to campus. It was a nice site visit trip, in fact the best and funnest. Yay! See you guys Diploma In Interior Design in Semester 3, coming August! Happy holiday people.

    P1060430

    Assignment, done!

    Final exam, done!

Finally can take a break from the hectic assignments work although they were fun but I prefer taking a break right now. Hohoho. People thinking that study design doesn’t have exam but in fact we do because there’s still some theory subject like Building Construction.

    P1060444

Just one that I am not satisfy was having English exam which is just ridiculous because I’d already study for 11 years of English and I have to study again. Wow, what a waste of time and money.

    P1060442
Aceel, Vincent, Arvin Tang and Low Jia Hui before last exam today.

I am going to Singapore tomorrow to check out Saturday InDesign event, anyone going there too? Hehe.

  • Hennessy Artistry 2011 At Opera Sunway

Hennessy Artistry 2011 At Opera Sunway

Two weeks ago, I was invited to go to Hennessy Artisrty party at Opera Sunway. Well, I am not really a clubber but somehow I enjoyed this kind of event well. Last year, I went to the one at QE2 and this year I am here because o my current location which is so near to Sunway Pyramid. Arron Lim and Grace Lee of Penang joined me too! HAHAHA, their name so formal here, I’ll make it Arron and Grace.

It happened on the 30th April and 2 days before it happened in Penang. Luckily I was in Sunway that time so I could attend the event. I was invited as blogger, gotta thanks Xiang and Helenness for the first invite last year and now I get to join most of the HA events.

Hennessy Artistry was all about great music and the main thing, the global art of mixing, which in simple words, the free flow of Hennessy VSOP, the best part of the night.

    iPad challenge! Noob though.

The event started at 9pm sharp and we arrived like half an hour late and it’d already filled with so many hardcore party people. Luckily the flows still go on. Well, it’s not just good music and Hennessy, there’s still little entertainment station which like the iPad game challenge that whoever got the top 5 scores get away a limited edition Hennessy VSOP, too bad the game really lag and we were not pro. Couldn’t get the free bottle back. We kept trying already, still it’s not good.

    Arron learning how to mix.

I thought of the purpose of the event, it’s actually encourage people to enjoy the art of mixing Hennessy VSOP with other mixer like Apple, Ginger, Lime and Cranberry. Well, Apple and Lime are my favourite all the time. =D

The place was real hot, beside hot chicks, but what I meant was the temperature of the club, I wonder why but nothing we could do, still enjoyed the rest of the night with chilling Hennessy.

Nothing much, party, music, liquor, nice people, nice environment but hot and that’s the night. I’ll let the picture says. =)

    Grace mixing.

    Arron and Grace.

    Arron, the bartender.

    Photo corner, pretty fun.

Music mixing corner, we were too bored and we went to play everything that they offered us to play.

There’s actually a Blogger zone! Rocks. Happy to be a blogger. Sharing is caring.

Not surprised to met Povy there who was actually at the Penang HA and now she’s at here cause she’s a hardcore party goer!

Hennessy Artistry, The Global Art Of Mixing, rocks.

Gonna sleep, going to Singapore tomorrow. Yay.

  • Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple On Wesak Day

Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen Temple On Wesak Day

2 days ago was Wesak Day, how did you guys celebrate your holiday? I as a Buddhist went to pray and joined the celebration too. Every year, I do go to the nearest temple to my home to pray on this holy day, but then this year I am so far away from home, I am now residing in Klang Valley. Being a stranger to this place, I didn’t know where can I go to pray, I went to Google online and I found the Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen temple at Jenjarom, Kuala Langat. =D

If you not really a local around there, you might not here about this place. I told dad about Jenjarom, but he didn’t know too, but when I talk about Kuala Langat, he knew and he was pretty surprised why I went till so far. The place was like 40km from my home in Sunway and took about half an hour plus drive to there.

I knew the place is far, but I was curious because I heard about the temple and want to go check it out. So I don’t mind taking the not-very-long drive. Hehe. I went there with my Indonesian classmate, Arvin. Since he’s new to Malaysia, and I am new to Klang Valley, we went to explore around.

Jenjarom is actually a Chinese kampung in Kuala Langat. It’s very not city and has nice and friendly people there. Good that a temple is built far away from the city for a sense of peace.

Unlike the Kek Lok Si temple in Penang, it’s not that huge, but yet fascinating, with a big praying hall. What Buddhist normally do on Wesak Day is go to the temple to pray and help to bath the little Buddha for blessings. We help to clean the body of Buddha statue.

Well, even though it’s far from the city, there’s still many people went to the temple to pray.

After prayers, we went to explore around the place. Actually there’s nothing much. However from what I have known, the Fo Guang Shan Dong Zen temple has an open house during Chinese New Year and has many activities during that time. Miss the opportunity this year and I’m going to check it out next year if I am here. =)

It’s quite a hot day and I was perspiring all the while, but then you couldn’t believe that it rained very heavily in the afternoon. The weather have been going crazy lately, rain, hot, rain, hot.

After exploring, we went away from the place because nothing much to see around the little kampung. The next stop was to Bukit Bintang to wait for the Wesak Day Parade, it’s pretty exciting to check out the parade in KL because previously I saw was in Penang, my hometown. Cheers! =)

  • Midnight See People Play Ice Hockey At Sunway Pyramid

Midnight See People Play Ice Hockey At Sunway Pyramid

On one fine midnight, after attending the Hennessy Artistry event at night, I saw people playing ice hockey at the ice skating ring in Sunway Pyramid. It’s pretty late at about 2am already, where all shops are already closed and extremely silent thoughout the mall, but the ring was noisy. Cheering and shouting from the team could be heard.

Midnight is a good time to play ice hockey because they can book the whole ring. It’s pretty cool seeing people play in during the night as there’s no ice skating ring in my hometown, there’s actually one 12 years back (at Bukit Jambul Complex) but failed due to low reception.

I salute them can run so fast on the ice because I can’t even skate. The pro part of all is that they never fell down. I couldn’t imagine myself playing this. Haha. If it’s a dry ground, without ice is OK, perhaps floorball or hockey. =D

We didn’t know them and we just see. And our “see” already took us like half an hour. Hahaha. We really got nothing to do in the middle of the night. Cool eh, them. RANDOM.

  • Last Day Of Building Construction Class

Last Day Of Building Construction Class

After spending so many midnight time in campus, it came to the last day of Building Construction which was one of my subject for semester 2 of Diploma In Interior Design. It doesn’t really comes to an end because I’ll be taking Building Construction 2 for the next semester. Walao eh!

Well, time flies and it finally came to an end. Thanks to the sleepless night and awesome project, mister lecturer, Sivaranam. =) It’s a tired day but the sky was blue, really very blue. Even though it’s blue, it didn’t brighten up my mentality because I was physically tired and sleep, but I still could force myself to shout (very random).

    Mellysa, tired face. =D

    Arvin still look so power.

I believe that day was not only me that was tired, most of everyone were. Treated myself in a good Chinese restaurant in campus as a reward for not sleeping.

    Connie, the Hakka girl.

Tai lou and Zhi Inn of Muar!

Then went to feel and molested the iPad 2 (even I already had an iPad) at the campus’ Apple store and it marks the end of the day. Bye bye Building Construction class. Hello, Building Construction exam! Which happening in 2 days time. I gotto read now. Cheers!
