Away to PLKN (Day 65): Lomo and Fisheye

One sad thing, I lost my Diana F+ kit plastic lens and now I only left with the fish eye lens, so my Diana F+ serve as my lomo fish eye camera. Here’s some shot.

A months of heat and S.O.X. camp, finally the most grand and most excited and most nervous part of the competition is here. It’s the Final of S.O.X. All-Stars Drum & Dance competition. Looking at After School’s Bang music video, it inspired me so much about cheerleading and all the girls are hot!

Who doesn’t like to see hot chicks? Or an awesome performance? Everyone like it! The final of S.O.X. All-Stars Drum & Dance will be held at bigger place this year at Stadium Negara on 5 June 2010. Bring all your friends, supporters, family, pom pom and everything to join the fun at the finale! You will like it. =)

Random Tuesday In The Last Week Of May 2010

The weather was pretty dark on this day. There’s sun but there’s no blue sky and white clouds. It’s dull and seems like it’s going to rain but somehow, I didn’t see the rain. It’s windy and some part of the day but it’s not sunny and very very nice day. It’s just, dull. Woke up early like at 9am and I was so blur because I slept at almost 3 last night for watching V. Actually wanted to go to the telco office to do change Maxis to Digi but mom said it’s troublesome, so end up using back Maxis again and upgraded my mobile Internet to a 3GB one.

Went for brunch at Lorong Seratus Tahun, it’s the famous curry noodle. Brunch is not good for health but no choice, I skipped lunch so it had become my brunch.

Went to Delima Palace, a new condominium at Island Glades and dad is working on the interior design of a client there. I went to help out a bit on the decorations. It’s almost done now, it’s just some electric, cabling, and a little more decorations and it’ll be cool.

Away to PLKN (Day 16): Lomo #3

At the very first time, when I knew about being chosen for PLKN, I was very scared. I was not sad, but scared, worried that how would I survive in the camp.

My mind go on and off for this PLKN. At first, I thought of going, Google a lot about it, then I didn’t get in the first batch, after a while, I didn’t feel like going already because the exciting feel went away, and then, I got news about being in the 2nd batch which is this batch that I am in currently, I become excited again. Friends who had went to, came back and told me about their experience and I felt not that bad afterall.

Being bald is not what I worry (actually got dislike a bit, hehe), but being disconnected from the world and outside was what I worried. No Internet, no mobile phone, no radio. This sucks a bit. Although we are allow to use the mobile phone on weekend, but for sure the Google Nexus One is not with me. If I bring it, I scared it being stolen, and no camera mobile phone too! It must be camera-less phone. Sucks.

Try and Win Chance to LA to Watch American Idol!

Do you watch the Season 9 of American Idol? Frankly, I was not really into American Idol until now, I was too bored, no more Heroes, no more Prison Break, no more Fringe, no more American Got Talent, it’s a little bit bored now and I turned to American Idol. Interesting!

Last time, I watch only the final and hear it from people, so I knew about Adam Lambert, David Cook, David Archuleta, Kelly Clarkson, William Hung and so on. Now I am watching it from audition, still catching it up till the latest episode on some Chinese Internet TV. Very nice, I like.

Powerful singing and I like it when the judge “shoot” them. Hehe.

By the way, I accidentally found out about this American Idol’s contest while surfing some forum, it’s a contest which actually will gives me chance to LA to see American Idol! OMG.

The contest very simple, but I very lame because I don’t really know about the entertainment news. I only know Kathryn Bigelow won the Oscars lately. Haha, or Simon Cowell leaving American Idol after this season 9. I only know the basic basic one. ^^

So, I always ting tong tiang, do guessing on the answer for the question. Password to the question is pretty simple, it’s only to see how fast you can give the answer for the question, then stand chance to go LA. Nevermind, I will try everyweek until I really failed. Now still OK yet. Won’t give up because I want to go LA!

What I Think About 82nd Oscars

I woke up pretty early today, not very early, at 9am exactly, washed up, then lay my lazy ass on the comfy couch and turned the satellite TV to the channel broadcasting 82nd Annual Academy Awards, a.k.a. Oscars. This is my first time watching a LIVE telecast of Oscars and I am a fan of movie and film. I didn’t watch all the 10 nominated Best Motion Pictures, but have watched Avatar, District 9, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Up and Up In The Air.

The event was so grand and I imagine myself, one day being at the event, as an invited guest or perhaps a behind-the-scene filmmaker? I’m dreaming definitely. Haha.

Well, the result is out. The Hurt Locker by top director, James Cameron’s ex wife Kathryn Bigelow had it big, won the Best Motion Pictures. IMO, I don’t like it, perhaps Oscars winning pictures are always like that? The film does has its special and arts, the blast and booms were nice, the story is special, the acting, but just it’s not an enjoyable one. Maybe because it’s about the US Army, it’s talking about patriotism? I don’t know.

Everyone was talking about Avatar, I don’t find it very interesting though, but I find it very AMAZING, it amazed me with the 3D, the music, the way of making and the animation. It does feel hollywood to me.

I like Inglourious Basterds, nice film, nice acting, hilarious and historical with lame fictional fact. This is also the film that made me know that who is Quentin Tarantino.

Up in the Air was boring to me, maybe I don’t know the way of enjoying it, but it’s nice being nominated.

District 9 was un-hollywood too. A documentary style film, could be a new style of making film and I find no reason disliking it.

Up, the animation was an art. I do feel the art, and the story was inspiring. I understand why it did not get the best film. =D

I didn’t watch the rest like An Education, A Serious Man, Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire, and The Blind Side. Gonna check it out soon when HD releases.

Another thing I would like to say, the most enjoyable film but was not nominated in 2009 is Star Trek.^^

Ang Bao (Red Packet) Makes People Happy

Chinese New Year is always so fun, I am so proud of being a Chinese because Ang Bao (Red Packet or aka Red Envelope) makes me happy. Actually it’s the same, in the west, Christmas gift makes people happy too, it’s just that we Chinese don’t buy gift, and cash is what we get. Simple and easy, no headache what to pick as gift for people.

Received quite a lot of ang bao in the past 15 days of Chinese New Year, now it ended and I got no chance to receive ang bao already. How much money inside the ang bao is not really important, the heart of giving and the happiness of receiving are more important. Some have good design too, mom purposely bought a lot of special designed ang bao from Guangzhou for Chinese New Year.

There’s also other not so pretty and simple design. I like to see good looking designed ang bao, but in the end I will still throw it all away. No point keeping it.

The best part is not the design it’s the-inside! =D

Lost Season 6 Soon!

Do you watch Lost? Are you a fan of Lost? Yes I very am. I like Lost and miss it so much right now. After a long wait, finally it’s back with the latest and last season very soon on 2nd February 2010. Woohoo! Excited, excited.
