Jack Neo Director Was At Taylor’s University – Do you know the hit Singaporean movie – I’m Not Stupid? The director of that movie was here at Taylor’s University yesterday, promoting his new film We Not Naughty, which partially filmed in Taylor’s campus too!

Jack Neo Director Was At Taylor's University

Wooo! I am looking forward to watch the film, some friend went to be keh-leh-fair in the film too.

Jack Neo Director Was At Taylor's University

Yesterday, he was in Taylor’s University, selling movie tickets, and giving out free poster and autograph, cool right? But I didn’t buy too because I don’t know I want the poster for what use.

Are you looking forward like me do?

  • Singapore Trip: Visit To National University of Singapore NUS

Singapore Trip: Visit To National University of Singapore NUS

#1: Walkway with huge slanted column.

Singapore Trip: Visit To National University of Singapore NUS – During my trip to Singapore in last November, I went to visit my brother’s place and school which is the National University Of Singapore at Clementi. He studies and lives at the hostel of the university. I went to walk around the place where he lives – UTown @ NUS, a newly opened campus of NUS, housing the Residential Colleges, Graduate Residence, largest 24 hours Starbucks Coffee outlet in Singapore as well as the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE). The UTown feels very much like modern office blocks to me.

The campus is so much cooler and bigger when compare to Malaysia’s University like the UM, USM, or the university that I am studying in – Taylor’s University. However, you need to be good in order to get in to National University Of Singapore. Somehow, if I am given a chance to choose, I prefer studying abroad further away, US or UK perhaps, schools at those country have a long history and reflects a true campus life.

    #2: UTown @ NUS.

#3: Longest private link bridge in Singapore, connecting Utown to NUS main campus.

#4: ETA of campus shuttle bus. Cool right?

    #5.

#6: Cinnamon College, one of the Residential Colleges.

    #1

Sunday At Taylor’s University In Super Wide Angle – On a fine lovely Sunday, I mounted my super wide angle and headed to school to meet up with Wesley and Steve to discuss about some group project. Then I snap along with my almighty Sigma 8-16mm for Canon.

    #2.

Haha, very random right? I wasn’t into serious shooting, so it was just simply shoot around the campus and to show you how Taylor’s University actually looks like in case you never see it before.

    #3.

Shooting with wide-angle is indeed fun but sometimes at the widest open, it makes picture look weird and long and, distorted, perhaps is because of the 8mm focal super duper wide.

    #6.

This super duper wide angle lens, I mainly use it for shooting interior shots. Do you like super wide angle?

  • Sunset At Kuan Hwa Seafood, Kuala Selangor

Sunset At Kuan Hwa Seafood, Kuala Selangor

#1: The Kuan Hwa Kuala Selangor Seafood Restaurant.

Sunset At Kuan Hwa Seafood, Kuala Selangor – This is not a blog post about food, but it’s just happened to be at the famous seafood restaurant, Kuan Hwa at Kuala Selangor. During the trip to Kuala Selangor, the whole class went to for seafood dinner at this restaurant, but half of us did not eat at there, because we didn’t feel like eating seafood at that time.

    #2: Snapping photos.

#3: Restaurants and houses on the water.

    #4: Birds flying.

    #5.

So what we did there was just talking and snapping photos, at the same time seeing others eat. The sunset at there was pretty and I had a feeling of very peaceful and relax at there. It’s like getting myself away from the hustle and bustle city life and the heavy assignments.
#6: MJ’s enjoying his take-away KFC at the seafood restaurant.

#7: Ruezhen too, was enjoying his KFC.

Sometimes, it’s good to be away from the busy city, out to the country side, for a little retreat. You know, college is so much different from high school, so much work, it gets stressful sometimes, and there’s no chance for failure because tuition fee is quite expensive, and that’s why a little retreat is good!

Anyway, if there’s chance, I will want to visit the place again.

  • Bukit Melawati At Kuala Selangor

    Bukit Melawati At Kuala Selangor

    #1: On the tram.

Bukit Melawati At Kuala Selangor – Hello people, I am back, I am back, I am finally back to blogging! Let’s get into the main topic of the day, 2 weeks ago, I went to a field trip to Kuala Selangor with my Diploma In Interior Design semester 3 classmate as well as my lecturer Miss Sofia. Well, I have been to Kuala Selangor before, the fishing village there but I have never been up to Bukit Melawati, the main attraction of the little country side town.

#2: On the tram, still, going up to Bukit Melawati.

Kuala Selangor is a quiet and peaceful town 45 minutes away from the hustle and bustle city life of Kuala Lumpur. What’s famous here are seafood, Bukit Melawati, fireflies seeing, as well as the Kuala Selangor Nature Park (which I think kinda sucks).

    #3: Lighthouse on top.

    #4: Monkey and the lighthouse.

    #5: Monkey!!!

    #6: Monkey!!!!!!!!!! Black.

We took a tram that took us from Kuala Selangor Nature Park up to the Bukit Melawati. The mini hill top is not very high, but yet it gives a spectacular view at the Malacca Straits and the special thing up there are the lighthouse and the monkeys! Yes, I mentioned about monkey.

#7: Nice view with Malacca Straits at far end.

    #8: Zhi Sheng!

    #9: The blogger me.

#10: Ken, Wesley, me and Steve.

    #11: Wesley acting cool.

Upon arrival at the top, you will see many monkey wandering around the place, waiting tourist to feed them the monkey food that can be bought at RM1 at there. The monkey food basically is the Chinese Long Bean.

    #12: Monkeys acting cool.

    #13: The people.

Surprisingly, monkey at there looks different from the one in Botanical Garden, Penang which the monkeys there have black hair and are not aggressive. They won’t snatch or attack you for food.

    #14: My lecturer. Haha.

    #15: Junior.

#16: Zetty and Ana on the right.

    #17: Rashid.

    #18: MONKEYYYYY!!!

We spent some time up there enjoying the windy breeze and fooling around with the monkey. The place is quite nice. =D

  • Good Morning 4:18AM

MacBook Pro Monitor Work Midnight Room

Good Morning 4:18AM – What am I doing at this wee hour of the early morning? It’s about 2 hours plus until sunrise and an hour more till the chicken co0k-a-doo. I believe many of you are sleeping sweetly, traveling in your dream world and there’s still people like me that’s not sleeping, perhaps gaming or studying. I am doing assignment, homework!

3 more weeks till end of semester and there’s many final submission is coming soon. Workload is heavy, not complaining anything, but just feel like needing more time to complete and perfect my work. It’s final, works have to be good and awesome.

    Untitled

I want to sleep too. I don’t to spend all night long working until the sunrise. It feels very weird not sleeping at night and that’s why I am writing this to wish you all a good night before heading to bed. There’s friends of mine that do work at night and don’t sleep at all, I find it quite weird and very wrong. At least, a little sleep of minimum of 4 hours is what I would do.

Well, do you spend time not sleeping in the night and do your work? Or you would rather sleep and do your work the next day, perhaps early in the morning? Share your view.

  • A Week In Taylor’s University #3

    A Week In Taylor's University #3
    #1: One of our drawing.

A Week In Taylor’s University #3 – This is the 3rd series of “A Week In Taylor’s University”. This is not my 3rd week in the school though, it’d been I don’t know how many weeks already, I only know I am now in semester 3, closing to the end of semester in about a month time. Sometimes I think, my tuition fees is very expensive, at about RM9,000 per semester (after scholarship discount for me is RM6,000-RM7,000), I get 14 weeks of study week. 14 weeks total up not even half a year or 4 months. In the short 14 weeks, it’s already RM9,000. Expensive.

Now I only realised that other school does collect almost the same amount of school fees, but somehow they get 3 semester a year, which total up 7-9 semester. Woww.

    A Week In Taylor's University #3
#2. Convival Bazaar by The Design School. I wonder why we, Interior Design was not invited to join. Hmm.

Last week was beautiful because after a busy week before and submission, we finally got some rest for, a few days, but the coming weeks will be busy again because the next assignment and project have been issued.

The school was kinda happening last week with bazaar and fair going on in the school, selling food and accessories. It’s really crowded and, fun.

Weather turned better, not so rainy, not so wet, it was just nice with some cloudy days, which then make sitting by the lakeside comfortable and nice.

    A Week In Taylor's University #3
#16: Our presentation board. Well, it wasn’t a good one because the lecturer said the arrangement was not good. It didn’t go with the flow. What I wanted to show is like telling a story which start of with a book cover, and the details and so on. Think out of the box. But she not likey this way.

    A Week In Taylor's University #3
    #18: Inside of the model.

It’s pretty much just another week, didn’t take much photo on the week too because was just trying to give myself a break, relax myself after a tiring week. Everything went fine, smooth and lazy.

But Thursday wasn’t that nice to me because that class was from 8am-7pm, technically. What went wrong was in between 2.30pm-5pm was really very boring, it was the longest break ever as lecturer dismisses super duper early. Sigh.

    #27: Chinese desserts! Yum yum.

    #28: Teddy bear.

    #29: From the balcony.

    #30: Looking down during evening.

    #31: Sunset at Taylor’s!

After class, Wesley, Jia Hui and I went to the balcony at 7th floor, Block E to enjoy the sunset for a little while before heading home. The traffic was bad on Thursday evening, really bad. Took me more than 30 minutes to reach home which is usually about 10 minutes.

New week ahead! Looking forward to! As the week after this will be a short semester break. Yeah!

  • A Week In Taylor’s University #2

#1: Friends who were in the filming of Ah Niu’s latest movie.

A Week In Taylor’s University #2 – It’s another week in Taylor’s. The week was packed, wet, saw some cool stuff in school, but afterall, it’s just another week in Taylor’s. Monday was pretty surprised for us as we came across with another film shooting in our campus featuring the local director/actor/singer – Ah Niu. It’s Ah Niu’s latest film and I’ve no idea what it is, and he came to shoot the scene here.

#2: Spotted Ah Niu in white tee sitting.

#3: This is what the filming crew eat for lunch.

#4: Part of the filming. Security guard shooting. For your technical information, they actually used the RED brand camera to shoot the film.

A few friends actually join the temporary actor but the bad news is that they only received RM11 for buying food for two days. No pay. So lousy. Luckily I did not join them. I thought they were gonna get paid like maybe RM50? =D

#5: Ah Niu in weird hair.

    #6: Another scene.

#7: Ah Niu in white shirt.

We were actually having lunch then my friend told me to look across the lake, only then I see they were doing the shooting. We wanted to go check it out but was in a rush to class. What’s great and lucky was, our classroom was just right above the film shooting scene where we could see some live action down there. Ah Niu was dressing very weird. I wonder what the movie will like when it’s on the screen. =D

    #8: Busy with work.

#9: Lots of discussion going on.

#10: Our in house magician, Zhi Sheng from 6 Of Spade.

The days went on with the mind thinking about assignment due dates. We’ve got lots of assignment due dates coming soon, just din one last week and more to come. Weekend will not be like a holiday anymore. Weekends are busy right now.

    #11: Overnight in school.

#12: Rain, I wore shorts which result in a wet feet.

    #13: Super heavy rain.

#14: Raindrops falling of the sky,

    #15: Rain.

The weather have been kinda crazy right now, sometimes very hot, sometimes very cold. It rained a lot lately, it’s not just drizzling off the sky, it’s huge, it’s loud, accompany by the roaring thunder.

#16: Setting up stage for the Share The Love concert.

#17: Spent some time at the Study Room.

    #18: Working at night.

    #19: Entertainment during work.

#20: Testing all the technical stuff for the concert.

    #21: Photography during midnight.

Spent a few nights in the campus, saw a mini concert in the campus, worked on assignments, and that’s my week in Taylor’s University.

  • Overnight In Studio, Classroom And See Sunrise

Overnight In Studio, Classroom And See Sunrise
#1: Jia Hui’s playing my MacBook.

Overnight In Studio, Classroom And See Sunrise – Last weekend was a really tiring weekend to me and my team because that we were rushing for the submission of an assignment and we spend 3 nights in school. We stayed overnight for 2 nights and a night till late night. It was a good experience, it was fun, it was like camping in Taylor’s University. Haha, but I do not want more because the total sleeping hour for the 3 days was not more than 10 hours.

Overnight In Studio, Classroom And See Sunrise
#2: The studio that we were in.

#3:What a mess, the dark area at the back is where we lay back and take a rest.

It was really unhealthy for sleeping so less. I didn’t want to, we didn’t want to, we wanted to sleep, but work forced us to sleep less. It’s a group project, we couldn’t do it else where or at someone’s home because it will be very messy and dirty. The good on doing it in school is that we got free house keeping, we have a big place for us to move around, provided a projector screen and a decent good stereo speaker for some in-house entertainment – music and video.

#4: Xiami’s website on the screen.

#5: Another studio that we were in. This one was not a good place to rest as it was bright when sun rises, there’s no curtain.

There’s also the drafting table for us to do our drawing which the table at our home is not really suitable.

    #6: Our stuffs.

#7: Good morning! It was about 9am.

Well, the bad of doing it in school is that you don’t get to sleep, even if you do, it will not be comfortable, you don’t get to bath, there’s no bathroom in the campus, and there’s nothing to eat in the midnight, only vending machine food.

    #8.

    #9.

    #10: View from the window.

    #11: Back to another studio.

    #12: Something that we did.

It was a pretty fun experience in campus. Chatting all along, singing, screaming, shouting, as well as sleeping on connected chair.

    #13: The screen again.

I believe there will be more overnight session in the campus. But I will try to sleep more. I don’t want to die early because there’s a research saying that people who sleeps less than 6 hours per day will reduce 5 years of his/her total lifespan.

    #15: Arvin.

    #16: Wesley and Steve.

I like that the school provides such service to us. In Penang, many of my friends work out their project at 24 hours McDonald’s mostly.

    #17: Midnight, at about 6am.

One more thing, on one morning in campus, I saw sunrise and it was really nice. I didn’t wait until the sun came out, I was just photographing the sky as the colour was very nice.

    #17.

    #18.

    Good morning. =)

    Quiet Midnight In Taylor's University
#1: The roundabout that has no car.

Quiet Midnight In Taylor’s University – On a one fine night, at about 1.30am. I was about to go home but I found a tripod in the car and I brought my Panasonic Lumix LX5, so I went for a short walk around the campus before going home. I took photos on the quiet night. It was not totally quiet, I could still hear the chattering of the students, foot steps of security guard walking around, and also the silence of the night.

    Quiet Midnight In Taylor's University
    #2: The quiet road.

    Quiet Midnight In Taylor's University
#3: The walkway that connects students into the school.

I was sleepy, I gave myself about 15 minutes to take photos. I didn’t want to shoot long, I didn’t plan for it, if I plan, it would be a few hours of shooting walking around the school. It would be fun, perhaps next time, with my DSLR.

    Quiet Midnight In Taylor's University
    #4: Somewhere, in the campus.

In the morning, it’s so noisy, students and staffs are everywhere, but when comes to this wee hour early in the morning, there’s no one.
