Photograph Scan, Book Fair Bee, One-Leg Goose & Brooklyn Bridge

Photograph Scan, Book Fair Bee, One-Leg Goose & Brooklyn Bridge – Back to school, back to university, it’s second week of the new semester and I am very busy already, many assignments to settle and I really have to manage time well. This semester, the timetable is kinda uncomfortable because my class starts at 8am on Monday to Wednesday.

Imagine 8am class, I have to wake up early and I don’t get sufficient sleep everyday. That’s no good to my health. I know I can sleep early to achieve the standard 8 hours of sleep but then I couldn’t do it, I can’t afford to sleep early, I have plenty of work to do, I want to be A Star student. Hahaha. Anyway, class have been going smoothly, it’s fun, it’s tiring, it’s OK, it’s not-bad, it’s still good. Well, let’s check out some interesting photos that I have taken few days ago.

    1. Technology is really awesome, now everyone does not need to copy notes on the screen anymore, it just take your camera, point and shoot, and scan. That’s it. Simple as that. It’s funny to see that when everyone is standing in front of the screen.

    2. Little reading bee mascot was walking around campus to promote the Taylor’s Book Fair. There was a book fair at the library, a few bookstores were there, but I did not buy anything, I don’t really read, I prefer design magazine. How about you?

    3. 1-legged goose! ???? It actually hid its leg and stood on one-leg under the heavy rain, I wondered, why?

    4. Followed my friend to the Taylor’s ADP (American Degree Program) office, it’s pretty cool up there, it’s like school in the USA where students can hang out around here. I believe it’s a place for ADP student to wait and chill before the next class.

    5. Feel free to hang out here for as long as you want ……….

    6. Found Brooklyn Bridge of New York here at the office! I want this in my room.

    On the other hand……

Are you guys going to any holiday? It seems to be a while that I did not travel, the last place I traveled was Singapore a few weeks ago, and I am planning to go else where during my next holiday, perhaps Taiwan, or maybe the USA or UK. I am dreaming a lot. Haha, because a lot of friends of mine are in UK, I want to go there to find them and travel around, but my dream place would be the USA.

Anyway, I did actually  plan many holiday, but then they normally turns up to be a last minute holiday, ‘plan ahead’ doesn’t seems to work on me. Your itinerary can be plan last minute, but the flights booking shall be made early, else it will be very expensive. Last time, my brother did not book the flights to Los Angeles early, ended up a very expensive flight rate. So, buy your flight ticket early. =D

  • Singapore Trip: Walk At Orchard Road

Singapore Trip: Walk At Orchard Road

Singapore Trip: Walk At Orchard Road
#1: People walking here and there.

Singapore Trip: Walk At Orchard Road – How can going to Singapore and not going to the famous shopping street, Orchard Road? Haha. Actually you can because it’s just shopping malls and I have been there for many times. On my week long trip to Singapore, brother and I were bored, no where to go and randomly went to Orchard Road.

Of course Orchard Road is nice, with many shopping malls, mid-end to high-end, no low-end, very organized, spacious pedestrian walkway, air-conditioned underpass, very straight and linear.

#2: People queing up for iPhone 4S since 12pm.

#3: More people in the iPhone 4S queue in front of Paragon.

Many people like to go to Orchard Road, but then it’s just like other typical shopping district in big city to me, e.g. Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay, Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Bintang and Shanghai’s Nanjing Road.

    #4: The wet Orchard Road.

    #5.

    #6: External escalator at OG.

#7: The special architecture of ION @ Orchard.

We started our walk from ION @ Orchard and hopping from mall to mall. As I walk further, it started to feel nothing, because that most of the shops are repeating from mall to mall. One fine example is that on this Orchard Road, you can find three UNIQLO outlet. WOW.

    #8.

    #9.

#10: Toast box has good toast and mee siam.

It was a rainy day so the road was wet out there and luckily there’s no huge downpour. It’s just little drizzle all over the afternoon.

#11: Roof top of *SCAPE Park.

#12: Wish I can own one unit at one of these condominium, they are extremely expensive!

#13:  A place at *SCAPE that allows you to CHAT! And relax, get a coffee, sit down, study or talk with others.

I found a very cool place call the *SCAPE Youth Park, it includes a mall and also a sheltered open space which allows stalls and event booths to be set up here. The whole place is dedicated to the youth, a place for them to gather, hang out, do their dance routine, sell at the flea market, play some card games and more. Retail outlets in there are mostly stuff for the youth. I think this is a good place to gather youth instead of them hanging out at the wrong places and with the wrong gangs.

#14: AKB48 official shop in Singapore, but too bad the group is not in Singapore. Do you know AKB48? It’s a girls group in Japan that has 48 girls!

#15: DBS Remix, a new banking experience made for the Youth. It’s like a playground in there because there’s many tablet for you to play and touchscreen for you to find banking service.

#16: Trying out the interactive info touchscreen.

    #17: Alright, nickchan.net is here. =D

Didn’t really buy anything at there. It’s just walking for fun and taking photos here and there. Went to the bank to play with the LCD touch screen and drank Gongcha Bubble Tea. Haha. Orchard Road is pretty, not as pretty as Shanghai’s Nanjing Road East, but then it gets boring something, what do you think?

  • A Week In Taylor’s University #2

#1: Friends who were in the filming of Ah Niu’s latest movie.

A Week In Taylor’s University #2 – It’s another week in Taylor’s. The week was packed, wet, saw some cool stuff in school, but afterall, it’s just another week in Taylor’s. Monday was pretty surprised for us as we came across with another film shooting in our campus featuring the local director/actor/singer – Ah Niu. It’s Ah Niu’s latest film and I’ve no idea what it is, and he came to shoot the scene here.

#2: Spotted Ah Niu in white tee sitting.

#3: This is what the filming crew eat for lunch.

#4: Part of the filming. Security guard shooting. For your technical information, they actually used the RED brand camera to shoot the film.

A few friends actually join the temporary actor but the bad news is that they only received RM11 for buying food for two days. No pay. So lousy. Luckily I did not join them. I thought they were gonna get paid like maybe RM50? =D

#5: Ah Niu in weird hair.

    #6: Another scene.

#7: Ah Niu in white shirt.

We were actually having lunch then my friend told me to look across the lake, only then I see they were doing the shooting. We wanted to go check it out but was in a rush to class. What’s great and lucky was, our classroom was just right above the film shooting scene where we could see some live action down there. Ah Niu was dressing very weird. I wonder what the movie will like when it’s on the screen. =D

    #8: Busy with work.

#9: Lots of discussion going on.

#10: Our in house magician, Zhi Sheng from 6 Of Spade.

The days went on with the mind thinking about assignment due dates. We’ve got lots of assignment due dates coming soon, just din one last week and more to come. Weekend will not be like a holiday anymore. Weekends are busy right now.

    #11: Overnight in school.

#12: Rain, I wore shorts which result in a wet feet.

    #13: Super heavy rain.

#14: Raindrops falling of the sky,

    #15: Rain.

The weather have been kinda crazy right now, sometimes very hot, sometimes very cold. It rained a lot lately, it’s not just drizzling off the sky, it’s huge, it’s loud, accompany by the roaring thunder.

#16: Setting up stage for the Share The Love concert.

#17: Spent some time at the Study Room.

    #18: Working at night.

    #19: Entertainment during work.

#20: Testing all the technical stuff for the concert.

    #21: Photography during midnight.

Spent a few nights in the campus, saw a mini concert in the campus, worked on assignments, and that’s my week in Taylor’s University.

  • Always Rain In Klang Valley

    Always Rain In Klang Valley

Always Rain In Klang Valley – It’d been raining almost everyday and the rain has just stopped now long here in Petaling Jaya. Is it the rain season right now? I wonder where the rainfall is coming from. It’s really raining non-stop and heavily here and there. There’s hurricane in the US past few weeks, there’s typhoon in Taiwan, there’s hurricane in Japan, what’s happening to the earth? 2012 is coming? Haha.

Rainy day is very nice to stay indoor, relax, chill and sleep at home, but it’s not nice to be out, it’s so troublesome that I have to carry an umbrella all around, pants and feet get wet, and of course the most hate of all, traffic jam.

How about you? Do you like rainy day?

  • Random Shots At Heong Giam Si Temple

Haha, it’s another post about temple and I did not purposely go to this temple to take photos. It’s actually I brought my camera with me during this visit to the temple with mom to pay a memorial visit to the late grandma of my dad.

Heong Giam Si Temple, located near to the state mosque (Masjid Negeri) at Air Itam there is actually a memorial hall which houses people’s ancestor’s tablets.

It rained during our visit and it was quite a heavy rain. I took out my camera and go for some shots.

And after the rain, blue sky came. =D

    What a random post.

Photos taken by Canon EOS 60D and Tamron 17-50mm f2.8.

  • Rainig On Beach Street, George Town

    IMG_0104

is just a random post about the rain during noon just now. It’s kinda nice to see the rain as the temperature have been warm and humid lately. The refreshing rain cool up the heat on the warm earth and brings a cooling effect to us.

    IMG_0106

    IMG_0109

It’s just like you having a bath after a long workout. Somehow, raining is always not a good thing as it makes people troublesome, wearing a rain coat, carrying an umbrella.

    IMG_0107
The motorcycle vendor has a big umbrella ever ready for his business. Thumbs up.

Luckily, it was a short rain and it wasn’t that big! Hello! =) How are you guys doing?

  • Kelana Jaya LRT to KLCC with Penang People

Kelana Jaya LRT to KLCC with Penang People

Last weekend was an awesome, wet, tiring, reunion and fun Saturday to me. I get to go to downtown Kuala Lumpur for a walk, to see the magnificent twin towers which had become boring to me, see the gorgeous Pavilion shopping mall, the crowded but not as crowded as Singapore’s Orchard Rd’s Bukit Bintang. =D

From Bandar Sunway to Kuala Lumpur. I have found a way to get there fast, save expensive parking cost at Kuala Lumpur’s shopping mall and that is park your car or go to Kelana Jaya LRT then then the LRT straight to the city. I know people here might know it already, but there’s still from Penang still don’t know.

Haha. You need to use your Touch N’ Go to part at the LRT and you need to use the LRT service in order to have your car park fee at RM3 the whole day or else you will be charged hourly. Arron asked me why I knew about this, because I Google-d. LOL.

That day was a wet day because it’s raining on and off, cats and dogs, Tom and Jerry. Sometimes big, sometimes, small. Made going place difficult only.

That days attendee were me your blogger, Arron from Penang, Tee Jin, from Penang, Pin Hoong from Penang, Carmen from Penang, Xiu Xin from Penang, and Jing Min from Penang. OK, they are all from Penang. I don’t know what am I talking about. >.< It’s Saturday, it’s weekend and everyone took a day off from study. Some come far from Shah Alam, some come far from Damansara and the furthest was Sepang, which is 45 minutes ride from there. Woo.

I don’t know why, I have tell you before. I have something on subways and LRT. I just like riding on it. It’s fun. At here in Kuala Lumpur, there’s the KTM and LRT. KTM is nearer to me and I get free parking by parking at Carrefour carpark, but then I don’t want to use the service because of the slowness, and dirty. LRT is much more faster, frequency is like 5 minutes per train and I can go KLCC directly, though a Ringgit more expensive.

    What is this?!

I tell you LRT user, or whatever commuter user in KL, go get a Touch N Go car for your ride, save up time and make Malaysia more high tech. Utilize it, it’s not just for toll. I have one, bought from Penang and I pay for Penang Bridge for only RM5.60 instead of standard toll rate RM7.00. Special privilege.

Actually, there’s reason I go to KLCC because my lecturer asked me to go check out the HOMEDEC exhibition which is related to my studies. My friends who are not in the course were so kind to acompany me go there. You guys rocks. Thank you.

Super expensive chocolate, who can buy for me?

When we reached KLCC, we wanted to go to the KLCC, which is the convention centre but sadly it rain super heavily because there’s no shade or covered walkway or underground passes going there, do they? We didn’t know so we waited the rain to stop only then we walk there.

I don’t really know around in there, I seriously need a pro to guide me. That would be my dad, but he’s not around in Kuala Lumpur. Perhaps the next exhibition, I shall ask him along then explain each and everything to me. =) Superman dad rocks.

Bought some cheap magazine at there to do some references at home.

After KLCC HomeDec, the sky rained again! @#&%(*%)! We wanted to call the Sun come out but we didn’t have his number so in the end, we wait wait wait, then we take taxi go to Pavilion. Haha. The first taxi really shit, quoted us RM10 for just a walking distance, the next one was better, RM5, we 5 person hopped on and another 2 were under the
umbrella. Next stop, Pavilion, Bukit Bintang and go back home. ^.^
