Here is the other DIY t-shirt that I have made last weekend. I stayed up until 2am for this and this is the 2nd simple design that I got. It’s just some wording in Chinese. I iron on it for too long and eventually the transfer paper turned out yellow greenish and I though it’s green as I got color blindness.

Nevertheless, the yellowish turn out made a frame for the wording and it seems not that bad afterall.

Just ignore my face, I got a no-expression face and so I just censored it off. Literally it says “You can shit” but actually it’s not, it’s just a direct translation of the Chinese reading of my name Nicholas (Ni Ke La Shi). As for the lines it says “This is not a usual blog, please do not hesitate to visit nickchan.net” =)

Bloggers meet! This shirt tells the name and URL. I need not speak more. By the way, she is partially a geek but not as geeky as me.

p/s:i am probably not finding any internet connection here at johor bahru/singapore.

Watch Lee Chong Wei plays in Beijing 2008 Olympics

Written by Nicholas Chan on August 17, 2008 – 12:25 am -

Watch Lee Chong Wei Plays by you.

First of all, congrats our national badminton player Mr Lee Chong Wei getting into the final of Badminton game in Beijing 2008 Olympics. It was a tough match between Lee and the Korean in the semi-final. I got no idea what Malaysia is good at in sports, I only know badminton it’s the only thing the Malaysian can be proud for.

Watch Lee Chong Wei Plays

There’s no gold medal until today for Malaysia, the one last chance for Lee to take home the gold medal is tomorrow where the final of badminton will be happening. I very wish that Malaysia can stand up on the big stage, at least one gold will do and it will makes us proud of it.

Fanboy saying : Lin Dan sucks, Lee Chong Wei FTW! =)

During semi final match yesterday, I and a bunch of friends watched the game together not in a restaurant but outside of it. Chili’s Grill Bar is the only restaurant that have the badminton channel on on their TV. As you know the food is expensive and so we didn’t order any food and we werejust hanging around outside the restaurant watching the match.

Flags were bought too to support Malaysia team and a lot of cheers and shouts could be heard. I think that we were scaring the people who were having their meals when we cheer, it also attracted a lot of crowds to watch the badminton match together too.

Watch Lee Chong Wei Plays

When there’s no place for you to sit, just squat or sit anywhere on the floor where the TV is comfortable to you. Hehe.

Friends invited me to watch together at Queensbay Mall for final, but I still not sure whether I can make it or not because the problem is I can get there but I cannot get back. =)

Black and White Banquet Dinner

Written by Nicholas Chan on July 2, 2008 – 12:37 am -

It’s a night where all the Leo members that attended the Leo Forum gather around and had a former banquet dinner. They themed it the Black and White. Everyone has to be in either black or white or the combination of black and white.

(La Salle Leo if I am not mistaken, with us, me and Tee Jin)

As for myself, I get out of the theme a little bit as I don’t have a white shirt for that night, I only got a maroon purplish one and I got a black tuxedo on. Looking a little bit big on me because I am a tiny person, though, I still looked smart. Haha.

It’s the 2nd dinner of the Leo Forum. The first one was the Starlight Night which include the finale of the Leo Idol competition and mini concert.

This banquet night was more likely on awards presentation and food. It has better food because it was a Chinese course dinner which we don’t need to walk, queue and get our own food ala buffet.

This dinner was held at Florex Chinese Restaurant in Ipoh. Before going to Ipoh, I made some research on the net and I got to know that the restaurant premise was not actually a restaurant but it was a cinema. Won’t be surprise that there’s pest that run through your legs, so I can conclude that it’s not a very well-maintained and hygienic place.

(Me and KOKahKOK)

Besides award presentation, there’s a interesting auction went on. We used artificial printed money to bid for prize, it’s just same as gambling because all of those prize were mystery gift and we didn’t know which was a good investment and which was not. You may sometimes, losses all your “money” to the mystery gift for just a pretty girl smile or a hug.

After so many rounds of auction, the most valuable prize was the RM210 DiGi Prepaid reload coupon that not our club won. We did actually have the most money but we did the wrong investment.

We at first don’t have that much money for the auction game, we then combined our “money” with other Leo club from the same states and then we started doing our “investing”. Unfortunately, we auctioned a balloon for high prize and in the end the best we got was a food basket and afterall we still got money left.

Kuala Lumpur Leos can be said that win and lose out in that auction. What they win was that the donation of RM10k to Sichuan Earthquake Victims was on behalf of their names, and what they lose was, they got nothing except names.

Party came after the dinner. Half of the group that were not party/clubbing gang went back the hotel. I was there to join the fun, I always like party, dancing and sort of stuff. It’s like interacting, expressing yourself. Though this doesn’t last long as the restaurant was closing the door. I could see that most of the chicks were quite good in dancing, clubbing chicks perhaps.

Well, it’s a very fun night to us. It’s another reason for high school student to join Leo Club. =D

Red Box Karaoke Friday

Written by Nicholas Chan on May 29, 2008 – 1:37 am -

Last Friday was the last day of school for first term and it’s time to take a 2 week break of from school. I don’t really have much plan for the holiday but I’ll be just going out for movies, karaoke and I’ll be going to Ipoh this weekend for my Leo Club activity for 3 days.

I think you guys have been seeing a lot of photos of me being in Red Box karaoke and seriously, I am now like goes there once a month. I love to sing a lot, but I can’t really sing well, though I enjoy the process and funness of singing which can really express myself.

It’s nice being a student right now as I get cheaper price when going into Karaoke. We payed like a person for just RM10 and we got 2 glass of drinks. During weekdays, I think it’s cheaper at only RM7 per student. Real cheap leh.

You might think why not sing at home but the music database at Red Box is huge. By the way, I don’t know what they are doing. Doesn’t look like posing.

I’ve so become a Red Box-kaki lately. It’s always the same gang though it’s fun.

For the first time, my personal in-class tutor, Mr tall 195cm guy Fangs came along with us. I always thought that what he does is only study and read, but the the presense of him makes me change my mind. He rocks.

It’s always the girl not the boy that take the stage. She’s Amanda, girl of Wei Chung. Best thing is I knew about her because she is so popular that she was the champion for Leo Idol (a singing competition among Leo members). Woah!

IMG_7633

It’s me, Tee Jin and Zez Chien the emo one. Now I know why Tee Jin’s email address was registered as somethingsomething_thedog@somethingsomething.com. Hahaha.

Yes, we enjoyed ourself a lot. Maybe next time I’ll have a Blogger gathering at Red Box. What do you think?

I’ve started my own school holiday

Written by Nicholas Chan on March 8, 2008 – 1:20 am -

Sorry for being a bad student. I was not in school today and yesterday. But I know teacher won’t be teaching in school, just to distribute the test paper and knowing the result. So I stayed at home and sleep. I have been burning the midnight oil till as late as 1-2am for the past few days because of the test.

I’ve started my own school holiday by the way, the 1 week school break is starting tomorrow.

Wei Chung and his FRIEND(s).

Forget about being bad. I went to Red Box to K (karaoke) song today. The last time was, Christmas Eve? I think so. I like singing, but then my voice is no good, no sweet, no nice. Hehe. But for the sake of funness, I went.

I wasn’t the organiser. I’m just somebody with thick face saying I want to go. LOL. I see this, luckily I didn’t go to school then to Red Box, else I can’t go in. I’m wondering why can’t we wear uniform into Karaoke? Illegal? Defaming? Student cannot sing karaoke one meh?

Menzi and Evon

Girls

Boys

There were Amanda, Menzi, Evon, Amanda’s sister, Janice, Cheong King, Zez, Joel, Wei Chung. =)

I hate being the person that holds the camera. Because I’m not in the picture! Though, if it was not me holding the camera, the photo wouldn’t be (fill in yourself). Haha.

People sing well there (not me), especially the girls, if I’m not wrong, there’s people who won singing competition there.

Sang for like 3 hours, and I ran out of voice in the end. Singing is real fun, you can express yourself through singing. I drank a lot of water and went to the toilet for a few times, non-stop of singing. Mostly is Chinese songs and with 1 English song only and that was Umbrella. Haha.

Pretty cheap on a weekday. Only RM10 per person include tax and extra charges and we got 5 jugs of drinks for 10 person. During the holiday will be cheaper and at only RM6++ for student.

Copy (3) of DSC01988

Finally I found a picture with me. Taken by other’s people camera. We loves hoods. LOL. I gotto get a white or black jacket with hood, I got a white Converse jacket without hood, but not fun.

By the way, I got friend put me aeroplane today. Help them booked a room but no one turn up. Too bad lah.

When still want to go? JOM…

The Leo Forum I Have Just Attended

Written by Nicholas Chan on June 4, 2007 – 7:22 am -

Ah, I am back from the 34th Multiple District 308 Leo Forum. There is good and bad about it. Overall, Ok lah. First time there, but kind of disappointed because they say give us room at Evergreen Hotel but they changed to City Bayview which is 1 star different. 2 nights, slept like only for 3-4 hours. Briefly, I want to tell you what I did there.

You know it stupid for girls to wear high heels and walk on a parade for like a kilometre, their legs must be pain. Yes, we went for a parade at Gurney Drive, I believe that they didn’t know that there was actually a small parade with Dragon and Lion Dance all along Gurney Drive to the dinner site. Too bad lah. If you are Leo and is reading this post, seriously the FOOD SUCKS.

I met new friends from other states. Happy knowing them. However, the numbers of friends I met is not the target of NEW friends actually I wanted to meet. Hehe, I want to know more, but due to shyness and stimness and so like that lor. Why stimness? I slept very late and wake up very early, so when gathering that time, I was like blur blur, sleepy. Anyway, there is still chance to know more people :).

My camera almost run out of memory, took almost a GB of photos. 3 days only, my hard drive minus 1GB already.

The cool thing about this forum is, Danny Wen Li Ming was there to sing 2 songs, Siapa and 为何想太多 (Wei He Xiang Tai Duo) with Digi YcF.

Note : Leo Forum is a gathering of Leos from all over of Malaysia and Singapore. Leos is member of Leo Club in School. You know Lions Club? Then Leo Club is part of Lions Club. Check out my school Leo Club website.

More photos coming soon. 1GB wor…
