So after checking out the special Valentine’s Day menu, what do you think? Hahaha. It must be expensive right? Though, you don’t really want to spend your Valentine’s Day with your love one at the hawker stall or fast food corner.

For other alternative, or a cheaper one, you can cook a candle light dinner at home, or visit some other restaurant that offer normal day menu. I kinda dislike when restaurants offer only Valentine’s Day menu during that day, it lessen the choice of ordering other food.

Happy Valentine’s Day. I’ll tell you where I celebrate my V Day few days later. Hehe.

  • Share The Love Concert At Taylor’s University

#1: Nice Taylor’s University at night.

Share The Love Concert At Taylor’s University – I went to school last Saturday night to camp in school to do assignment. I wore simple clothing, a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, with slippers on, feeling free and easy and arrived in school happily. Then I heard loud voices of people singing, and the school’s lights were turn on brightly. There’s a concert going on in the campus – Share The Love.

#2: The Julie’s balloon. Julie’s is a brand of biscuit.

I almost forgot about it until I reached school that Saturday night. Share The Love is actually a charity concert which promotes friendship and solidarity through music. The concert is actually a singing contest which the winner wins RM5000 cash prize for themselves as well as another RM5000 which to be donated to the Taylor’s World Food Day on behalf of them. Cool right?

    #3: The bunting.

    #4

The crowds were not really big, about 200 or more people can be see, sitting on the checkered floor, some lying and enjoying the concert. It was quite relaxing and nice to see a concert stage was set up in the school.

#5: The stage and people on the floor.

I imagined what if some other famous artist has their mini concert here, it will be really very awesome, given a good view of the campus. I would like to see Taiwan’s artist here, but I don’t think it’s possible because it’s an English speaking school. HAHA.

#6: From the side of the stage.

Share The Love Concert At Taylor's University
    #7: The people.

Share The Love Concert At Taylor's University
    #8: Camera man.

Share The Love Concert At Taylor's University
#9: The host is talking on the ramp.

Share The Love. I spend less than 30 minutes then and off I went to do assignment with my group mates. I didn’t really enjoy those Indie band because I don’t know the music and songs they were singing. But one cool thing was, they were giving out free little food like cup cakes to the people by answering a few question.

I love my country so much! You know, Malaysia get independence 31st August 1957 and the real Malaysia was form with the combination of Sabah and Sarawak on 16th September 1963. Woohoo! • A Visit To Logos Hope – The Floating Book Fair

Have you heard about Logos Hope before? It’s the largest floating book fair that travels around the world. The Logos Hope is actually a name of a ship that is currently park at the Swettenham Pier in Penang. On board is a mini books fair, or also can say it’s like a mini Popular bookstore featuring many Christian books, and also many other books too.

    E

Entrance is RM1 for everyone and free for children below 12 years old. I was curious and I went to check out the Logos Hope with my girlfriend, Hueisean to see what is it like on board.

It was the Hari Raya day 1, Malay friends went to visit and celebrate and we went to check out the floating book fair. Upon arrival, I see many people queue up to get on the ship.

To my surprise, the queue was pretty long and it took about 20 minutes to reach the entrance. Since it was near to sea, with sea breeze blowing, it’s nice to wait patiently and chit-chat at the same time. Slowly, we reached the ship and we got excited.

The Logos Hope, by GBA Ships travel around the world with a vision of “Bringing knowledge, help and hope to the people of the world.” I really salute the volunteer crew that work on board and travel around the world with most of the time on the ship. It’s not an easy job.

Thankfully, the weather was pretty good, partially Sunny, with a cloudy blue sky. We walked into the ship slowly, up the stairs, into the main deck where the book fair is.

Best part is that it’s open until 10pm from Tuesday to Sunday and everyday open at 10am except Sunday at 1pm. So you can go relax in the ship sometimes although there’s nothing much.

Upon entering, I could see many people wandering around. There’s an area where people can see the history of the ship in both electronic media format and photo format. I was not really interested in it, so took a photos with the logo and started to go with the flow.

GBA Ships! Yeah. Do you know GBA? I think many don’t know about because everyone now is so high tech and advance and only know about iPhone and PSP, GBA was the GameBoy Advance, a gaming device with better graphic. I had one and sold it. Ouch.

Went to check out the books with many Christianity books around. Some are good buy because they are cheap but I have no idea how old are them. Lot’s of language dictionary too. I was looking for home improvement interior design book, I found but didn’t buy any because they were too old. If you are a book lover, you must get on board and I am sure you will find your desire books.

One cool thing is that the price of the book on the ship is using Units and 100 Units is RM8. I wonder why.

Found a cafe named International Cafe selling pop corn, pastry, some juice and soft drink but did not get any because of the long queue, then we went out of the ship and headed somewhere else!

Must visit if you are in Penang. If you are in Kuala Lumpur, it’s coming to Port Klang this month on 28th September 2011 and park for a month. Check out the schedule at the site.

P/S: Good night people, tomorrow got school! Down.

  • Lelong.my E-Commerce Fair 2011 At Mid Valley Exhibition Centre

Lelong.my E-Commerce Fair 2011 At Mid Valley Exhibition Centre

2 weeks ago, I went to check out the Lelong.my E-Commerce Fair at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. It’s the first and biggest e-commerce fair in Malaysia organized by Lelong.my. Basically, it’s a fair where the online shops that sell on Lelong.my brings their product to the fair and sell it there. If you don’t know Lelong,my, it’s actually Malaysia’s version of eBay and it’s the largest online shopping website in the country.

Besides shopping offline at the e-commerce fair, there were also talks on how to set up your own online stores and online business, there’s also free goodies bag too!

The fair was pretty fun because that the shops that we normally see on the internet was at there physically and we could actually get a touch on the product which we normally don’t. I also found some good stuff at there and know about new store too which I will be doing more shopping online.

One thing, there’s actually lucky draw at the fair where people can walk away with handphones and gadget, as well as a Super Bid where bidding on gadget starts at RM1. Sadly, I couldn’t able to join as I was busy with assignment. Hmm.

Well, I checked out the opening ceremony and Lelong.my said that they will be organizing similar fair in the coming years. Seems interesting!

  • Cadbury Pop It Or Drop It Ground Event At Pavilion

[ADV] Hello people. Last week, I went to Pavilion at Bukit Bintang to check out the Cadbury Choclairs Pop It Or Drop It Ground Event! Yes, you are right, it’s the ground event, not the Internet Facebook game that I introduced few weeks back.

It’s the real thing where people play the real game instead of playing on the keyboard. Damn cool you know. The event started at about 12pm and ended at around 4.30pm. I was around there to join the fun, see what were the contestants doing and having fun. The whole event was pretty interesting.

It was not really a sunny day, drizzled a little bit in the afternoon but luckily the drizzle did not stop the game from going on. However, the cloudy day made it a nice day to spend some times outdoor. I see people were having fun at the Cadbury Choclairs Pop It Or Drop It game. They were just playing hard to win the grand prize which is a ticket for 4 to Gold Coast, Australia!

The game goes like this actually which two participants have to race to the end, the fastest duo wins away the prizes. There’s different part of the game. The first part is the Bungee Dash is like tug of war. The player has to ran against the pulling to get hold of the big Cadbury Choclairs.

Then he need to bounce up the to the top at the next station, then slide down. It’s bounce, or jump, not climb. =D Then he has to slide down and find 10 mini balls.

    IMG_7943

After that, he will need to pop the balloons with only using the ass which sounds funny and fun.

After successfully popping the balloon, he will then need to climb up a spiderweb where chocolate milk is pouring from top as a chocolate rain. He will bath in chocolate, and he then reaches the final check point and TIME! Sounds interesting right? I actually like the chocolate rain part where people really can taste the chocolate with just an open of the mouth! I wanted to play so badly, just however that I did not bring any extra clothing to change. Aduh.

Besides the big game, there’s also small games like popping Choclairs on a big screen and treasure hunt on Choclairs which leaded to a handphone prize! It’s like a mini games and prizes carnival set up by Cadbury. Very fun.

Besides that, I was not so lucky to win the lucky draw which the prizes were handphone and cash!

    IMG_7960

And lastly, there’s the prize giving ceremony and want to congrats the winner for winning the ticket to Australia! OMG. I want it so badly. Haha.

ONE MORE THING, remember to check out Choclairs Malaysia’s Facebook Page for more and more about the event and some upcoming cool stuff by them. It’s really very awesome, go LIKE the page, enjoy and HAVE FUN! Choco BOOM!

  • Chung Ling High School Sixth Form Food Fair

Chung Ling High School Sixth Form Food Fair

    IMG_0302

Yeah, it’s about my high school, Chung Ling High School again! I missed the super big food fair of Chung Ling High School few years back when I was Form 2, 14 years old and in between, the school didn’t organized any food fair until just recently that the Sixth Form student organized a food fair and invited me to come check it out.

    Zez Chien.

Since many of my high school friends are in the Sixth Form, so I went to meet them, though, I couldn’t stay for long as I was working later that day.

    See Rong Zhi.

From what I have known, the purpose of organizing the food fair was to fund for their graduation night.

    Loke Yimei.

Jin Jie Tan, my classmate when I was form 5.

There’s many food at the food fair, and some games stall too. Although not very super-overwhelming, but then I can see the enjoyment of them in promoting and selling the food and everyone enjoyed.

    Sook Fang and Jane.

    Chin Lai.

Even though it was just a short visit, I met friends, talked and ate breakfast at there too, before I proceeded to work at Queensbay Mall.

Juan Shong, my class monitor in 2009.

    IMG_0299

I didn’t get to check out the fun fair area as I was in a hurry, afterall, it was a fun short while at the canteen. Oh yeah.
