Merry Christmas 2012 From Nick Chan
Merry Christmas 2012 From Nick Chan – Wooohhooo! Merry Christmas! =.= Actually, to be honest, seriously, I don’t really have feeling for Christmas this year, no countdown feeling, perhaps I am not ang mo, or Christian and there’s no Christmas feeling in Penang also, that’s why. Anyway, I still want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, 6 more days and I’ll wish you guys a Happy New Year. LOL -

Christmas Decoration At Pavilion Shopping Mall, Bukit Bintang

#1. My favourite shopping mall. I don’t really like Sunway Pyramid by the way. HAHA.Christmas Decoration At Pavilion Shopping Mall, Bukit Bintang – Christmas is around the corner right now and it’s happening in less than a month time. This goes to Chinese New Year as well because the coming Chinese New Year is coming very early in January (normally February). I am so excited for both of the festival as they make me feel very relax and happy.
I went to KL downtown few weeks back and went to walkaround the famous Pavilion shopping mall. Surprisingly the put up the Christmas decoration early in early November, The decoration is very beautiful with lots of Christmas trees placed around the main atrium.
Big sweet cake and giant decorative bells and balls are among the decoration too.
Now I am back to Penang, and I’m gonna go check out how’s the malls here are doing with the coming Christmas festival. Woohoo. Happy last month of 2011. If you still have leave, it’s time to clear it up and spend some time with you family and your loved one. Have a nice day! -

Christmas Decoration at Bukit Bintang
Showing you some random photos taken at Bukit Bintang at night 2 weeks ago while on a walk with my parents. They came to Kuala Lumpur to visit me and fetch me back to Penang together. Yoyoyo, yes I am in Penang, for 2 weeks already. Rocks!
Some sort of AIDS Aware event was going on that day.
Lot 10 has became boring to me already. But you should check out the new walkway outside, kinda nice. =)
Very crowded that day, probably because of school holiday. Walking was pretty difficult, they should make a better pedestrian walkway IMO.
Nice Christmas decoration outside Pavilion. Not really have the mood for shopping because all the stuff look same to me and I have no buying list at that moment, and one thing is that the Malaysian Sale isn’t really a big deal. Just a small discount which available many times throughout the years. Hmm. They should have something like Black Friday sale in the US. Woo. Rocks.
I love Malaysia. Haha. Very random I know, and good night for now. =D

Christmas Day 09 to Gertak Sanggul, Teluk Kumbar
Continued from previous post where I talk about going to the Jelutong seafront promenade, after that I thought of going to Queensbay Mall but I didn’t know what to do at there. I believe there sure will be many people too because it’s a public holiday, so we went somewhere else where we haven’t been to before.
It’s around 4pm, afternoon tea time, we went to the food stall at the market near to Sunshine Square at Bayan Lepas to eat our afternoon tea. I had a bowl of laksa there and they ordered themselves a bowl of tomyam noodle.
After tea time, there’s 2 lame ideas for next destination, one is Auto City and another is Gertak Sanggul, Teluk Kumbar. I didn’t feel like going to Auto City because I was there 3 days before Christmas so we went driving up to Gertak Sanggul for fun, pointless, it’s just driving.
Was thinking to check out the beach or something near to the sea but found out that there’s a bridge which connected out to the sea, and the bridge is broken and not usable. Too bad.
We were at the seaside in Jelutong and we were at the seaside again at Teluk Kumbar. I don’t know this place is Gertak Sanggul or Teluk Kumbar. I like to call it Teluk Kumbar more, so any idea, precisely, this place is Gertak Sanggul or Teluk Kumbar? I think is somewhere between Gertak Sanggul and Teluk Kumbar.
There’s sea, a good spot for sunset but we were early and we were so far away from sunset yet, like 1 hour more till sunset, moreover it was drizzling a little bit.

We then take photos again, the 3 of us. Hahaha.

It started to rain a little bit and we ran away from there. Since there’s no bridge, there’s no beach, nothing much to see, we went to other place again. Christmas Day 09 haven’t end yet!

Christmas Day 09 at Jelutong Seafront Promenade, Nautilus Bay
Last year’s Christmas Day was special and very spontaneous. I woke up in mid morning and I have nothing to do, just surf the net and watch the TV. Initially, I thought of going to Penang Times Square at around 2pm after lunch to check out the Leo Club’s activity.
I went to find Chen Yuen and Chai Wei to go along, and when we were at Penang Times Square, there’s a long queue for carpark, which made me change my mind not to go there. I hate waiting for car park, it’s very very long.
We then spontaneously think of a place to go. The first stop was the Jelutong Seafront Promenade at Nautilus Bay, very unfamiliar name. I found this name on Google. =) It’s the seafront promenade at Bandar Sri Pinang, the four pillars standing high are the place’s sign.
We actually went there just for fun. No idea where to go and it’s not planned. Just got down, walked and took photos for a while then we hopped back on to the car and go to somewhere else.
The afternoon was pretty hot but the place was very windy because it’s seaside, though we didn’t stay long at there.
Chai Wei.
Chen Yuen.

Nice view of the Penang’s Bridge.I have got Christmas hat and I wore it the whole day! I realized most people here wear the Christmas hat on Christmas eve only, why so little people wear on Christmas Day?

Christmas Eve Night at Gurney Drive
Don’t know why so many people like to gather on the street of Gurney Drive on Christmas Eve night. On 2009’s Christmas Eve, I was there a while before going to the cinema to catch the premiere of Jay Chou’s The Treasure Hunter which is not really a good to watch.
There’s fighting and spraying of police’s vehicles the year before and they ban the selling and using of artificial snow flakes spray. I did not see any people selling it but I still see people having it on hair, only started spraying it when the countdown hits 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
The news came back again, there’s some young gangster got up a fight with the police and RELA member. That’s really OMG, I missed the show because I was in cinema and I also don’t want to be involve. Not interested in sprays now.
Many friends tell me that this year’s Christmas Eve at Gurney Plaza and Gurney Drive was boring. Is it? I didn’t really know about it, I found my Christmas Eve quite interesting, even at Gurney Drive was fun because we were joking and talking all the way while waiting for the movie time.
Maybe they don’t get to spray people (a lot), so it’s boring. The stage at the alfresco area of Gurney Plaza was pretty rocking too, I saw many people were like partying at there.
Not bad what. Just I didn’t really like the Tresure Hunter, the movie was pretty lame and I don’t like the story. It’s just for Jay Chou and Lin Zhi Ling’s fans.

Christmas Celebrationg for the Elderly at Rumah Charis
I am kind of back to Leo Club activities after being hiatus for many many months because of very stressful SPM examination. Although I’ve been retired from the post of First Vice President of the club, yet I still enjoy their activities and outings.
Boon Yan, the co-organizer.
I was in the Leo Club of Chung Ling High School, my name is still in their name list and I will be moving to a new Leo Club which is for those above 18 years old. Anyhow, I still like my old Leo Club of Chung Ling High School, all of the juniors are friendly and funny.
Me with the Japanese Youth Exchange student and Chien Ming.
Talking back about the recent activity that happened on the Christmas week, the Leo Clubs organized a Christmas visit to an old folks home far away in Relau, the name is Rumah Charis.
I went there once early last last year but that time was on a chartered bus and this time I was on my own. I tried to Google Maps the place but I can’t find it. So with a little image left in my mind, I tried to feel my way around when I am at Relau. It’s actually not very hard to go afterall and the Google Maps need to be updated.
Tict Chyn.
Stanley.
We have got our in-house santa class and santa girl with us that day, they gave out little kids to the elderly and keep saying “Hohoho, Merry Christmas”, that’s the only thing they said.
We also have our in-house beatboxer, Wallace who is only 17 years old and can beatbox like pro. Very cool.
We sang Christmas song, prepared some food for their tea time and had some entertaining games for them. The games were like mini bowling with bottles and a ball and puzzle games.
Wan Pei’s cool poses.
Washing the plates.
I wonder did our visit does good for them or not. They are probably been dumped by their family at there, looking at their face, it looked like they have not been visited by people for a long time too. Our visit may made them miss home. Hope they had fun. =D

Christmas Charity Concert at Auto City
2 days before Christmas, I went to Auto City at night to support the Leo Club of Penang Chinese Girls High School on their Christmas Charity Concert. It’s my first time driving to the mainland across the Penang bridge then on highway for 5 minutes to reach Auto City, it’s fun. For all the while, I only drive in the island. From the island to Auto City is very near only actually, it’s approximately 30-35 minutes drive from my place at Gurney Drive.
Jocelyn and Wallace.
This concert is a charity one, admission was free and they were raising fund for an orphanage home in Butterworth. The kids were there to see the concert too. The fund was raised by donation and the selling of some items like keychains, christmas hat, t-shirts and other little stuff. Since I am Leo Club member, I did help out a bit on the sales too.
There’s Santa Claus appearance and some performance like young rock band Past Time and Tragedies who are like only 15 years old, then a very LOL magic show and dance performance. Eunice who dance brought her whole dance team there to do a few dances.
Wan Pei and Corrinne.
Gini.
There’s a lot of Christmas songs that night, I didn’t know what was I doing around, I keep walking around and not sit down to watch the show. Most of the songs were leaded by their in-house young singer, Gini, who was the champion of Penang’s Leo Idol competition.
There’s chair in front of the stage and good to see most of the chairs were filled up. The fun thing about the chair is that it’s not normal chair, it’s beach chair, chairs that normally use on the beach which is nice for lying down. It’s so relaxing for the people down there who got a seat.
In between the concert, I went to roam around the place and did lame stuff like sitting in the kid aeroplane thing. With a 50 cents coin, the thing moved for like 1 minutes with music. =D I wonder does anyone get on it or not, or only us?
Lions (Lions Club) went crazy.
Cool Fujifilm Instax in action.
Look what I’ve found! Writings and drawings!
Organized by Wan Pei, the thing was pretty good with people coming by and venue sponsored by Auto City.
Me with Min Xiang, Kok Sheng and Tee Jin.
Pei Cing, Corrinne and me.
I Love Yng Shn Dot Blogspot Dot Com.
Victor, my senior.
Very cool Lion Ong Lai.
Union girls, TKF, Caster and Boon Yan.
Eunice, Wan Pei, Pei Cing and Cai Qian on the side.
Happy New Year! =)

Christmas Eve Potluck at Boon Yan’s Apartment
Thinking back for Christmas’ Eve in 2008, I was having steamboat with Leo Club’s friend and in 2009’s Christmas’ Eve, I went to Boon Yan’s house for potluck dinner and they are also my Leo Club’s friend, with a few extra of my friends followed along and they were Arron, Chien Chern, Zez Chien, Chen Yuan and Ammerlynn. We didn’t know where to go and what to do, and Boon Yan invited me to her place for potluck so I brought them along.
Potluck is where everyone bring some food and eat together. I bought lobak. Forgot to introduce, Boon Yan is the current president for Leo Club of Union High School.
There’s lots of pizza, lots of french fries, lots of lobak, lots of sparkling juice and some snacks. My friend very lame, they brought banana, loaf and potatoes.
Wallace the beatboxer.
Fiona.
The girls.
The whole night was about eating and playing the two Nintendo Wii game, Wii Sports and Bleach. I had the most fun on Bleach because the game is silly, it’s just keep swinging the Wiimote in the air and felt very lame.
Me and friends that I brought along. Arron, Ammerlynn, Tee Jin, Chien Chern, Chen Yuan.

Boney came all the way back from New Zealand.

Lester who got 8As in PMR that day, with Boney and Min Xiang.
Me, Lester, Tict Chyn and Hui Jen.
Then we took photos, we talked, we jokes. Wallace even did a few seconds of beatbox.
Min Xiang and his Sammy.
This look gay. Chien Chern and Zez with the Wiimote.
Boon Yan has got a nice place there, quite spacious with nice view and lots of home entertainment.
This is Boon Yan, the host and organizer.
Thanks for inviting me over! =)
