Goose Lays Egg At Taylor’s University & Tortoise By The Lake

    Animal At Taylor's University Lakeside

Goose Lays Egg At Taylor’s University & Tortoise By The Lake – Found some cool animal at the school’s lake today, I see many big size tortoise, swimming by the shore. This reminds me about rearing a tortoise when I was small. I wonder who put in the tortoise into the lake of Taylor’s. I bet they swim and eat LIKE A BOSS at there since people often throw food into the lake.

It’s gonna grow even bigger soon!

Another super cool and funny thing I found today is that the goose at the lake laid an egg! I wonder who it mate with. HAHA. OK, that’s not the point. We saw the goose sitting on her egg, waiting it to be hatched. So cool right? But the thing is…. the goose was not sitting on her egg, she’s sitting on a tennis ball!

Instead, we found the real egg at the other bushes. I was thinking, was the goose forgotten about her egg’s location, or someone was trying to trick the goose. Really special and funny. She had been sitting there for a few days, according to my friend. Hmmm.

  • Photograph Scan, Book Fair Bee, One-Leg Goose & Brooklyn Bridge

Photograph Scan, Book Fair Bee, One-Leg Goose & Brooklyn Bridge

Photograph Scan, Book Fair Bee, One-Leg Goose & Brooklyn Bridge – Back to school, back to university, it’s second week of the new semester and I am very busy already, many assignments to settle and I really have to manage time well. This semester, the timetable is kinda uncomfortable because my class starts at 8am on Monday to Wednesday.

Imagine 8am class, I have to wake up early and I don’t get sufficient sleep everyday. That’s no good to my health. I know I can sleep early to achieve the standard 8 hours of sleep but then I couldn’t do it, I can’t afford to sleep early, I have plenty of work to do, I want to be A Star student. Hahaha. Anyway, class have been going smoothly, it’s fun, it’s tiring, it’s OK, it’s not-bad, it’s still good. Well, let’s check out some interesting photos that I have taken few days ago.

    1. Technology is really awesome, now everyone does not need to copy notes on the screen anymore, it just take your camera, point and shoot, and scan. That’s it. Simple as that. It’s funny to see that when everyone is standing in front of the screen.

    2. Little reading bee mascot was walking around campus to promote the Taylor’s Book Fair. There was a book fair at the library, a few bookstores were there, but I did not buy anything, I don’t really read, I prefer design magazine. How about you?

    3. 1-legged goose! ???? It actually hid its leg and stood on one-leg under the heavy rain, I wondered, why?

    4. Followed my friend to the Taylor’s ADP (American Degree Program) office, it’s pretty cool up there, it’s like school in the USA where students can hang out around here. I believe it’s a place for ADP student to wait and chill before the next class.

    5. Feel free to hang out here for as long as you want ……….

    6. Found Brooklyn Bridge of New York here at the office! I want this in my room.

    On the other hand……

Are you guys going to any holiday? It seems to be a while that I did not travel, the last place I traveled was Singapore a few weeks ago, and I am planning to go else where during my next holiday, perhaps Taiwan, or maybe the USA or UK. I am dreaming a lot. Haha, because a lot of friends of mine are in UK, I want to go there to find them and travel around, but my dream place would be the USA.

Anyway, I did actually  plan many holiday, but then they normally turns up to be a last minute holiday, ‘plan ahead’ doesn’t seems to work on me. Your itinerary can be plan last minute, but the flights booking shall be made early, else it will be very expensive. Last time, my brother did not book the flights to Los Angeles early, ended up a very expensive flight rate. So, buy your flight ticket early. =D

  • A Visit To Snake Temple, Bayan Lepas

A Visit To Snake Temple, Bayan Lepas

A Visit To Snake Temple, Bayan Lepas – Snake Temple is a famous Taoist temple in Penang that has the presence of snake in it. This visit to the temple is my first time and no one has actually brought me there but myself, not long ago. The temple is located at Bayan Lepas, about 2km away from the Penang International Airport.

It’s a spontaneous trip as I was near to that area, so I pay a visit to the temple with Hueisean. It’s not really up to my expectation because I expect the temple to be more gross because of many snakes. Though the snakes were not many at the temple, 10-20 maybe? Some at the altar table, a few at the tree. I’ve heard my teacher in high school telling me that during the 70s, before the built of Free Trade Zone, the temple did indeed filled with many snakes.

Those snakes are actually poisonous with venom. But with the smoke of joss stick, it calms the snake down and they lie there like a boss all day long waiting for chicken meat. The best of all, entrance is free. Did some praying and off we go.

    Lanterns at the snake temple.

    Snakes and chicken eggs.

    More snakes.

    Pit viper snakes!

    Hidden in the tree, camouflage.

    The ornamented roof.

Lazy dog doing sun bathing early in the morning.

Actually, I’m kinda afraid of snakes, but then I like to see snakes show on National Geographic & Animal Planet channel. Hahaha.

Penang Turf Club Horse Show 2011
#1: Penang Turf Club House Show 2011 poster.

Penang Turf Club Horse Show 2011 – For all the 19 years being in Penang, I have never been into the Penang Turf Club once just until recently. The Penang Turf Club is a horse racing track and there’s a golf course in there too. It’s similar to some other Equestrian Club or Hong Kong’s Happy Valley Jockey Club.

Last weekend, the Penang Turf Club opens it door the public with free parking and free entrance for the Horse Show 2011. It’s a carnival where people can see horse, take a ride on the pony, ride on the horse carriage, food stalls, games and more.

#2: Signage that guide you around the horse show.

I went to check it out for a while to see what is it all about and mainly to visit the Penang Turf Club. Actually, you can visit the Penang Turf Club at anytime when there’s horse racing, but then you have to pay for RM6 parking and another RM6 for entry to see the horse racing. I would like to see a real horse racing too, but I wouldn’t gamble. =)

#3: Quite a number of performance that can be enjoy and view at there.

There’s quite a number of activities you can do at the horse show, there’s game stall, performance, horse riding and more. I went in to tour a round and check out some cute horses.

    #4: Yo, waddduppp horsee.

    #5: Looking noob and sleepy.

    #6: Itz ME!

#7: Department of Wildlife and National Parks.

I see many parents bring their kids to visit the carnival. I think it’s a good place for a good family outing since going to shopping malls will get boring some times.

#8: WTH! Snakes!! Snakes show at Penang Turf Club.

#9: Snake is so ugly, do you like?

#10: Food stalls, not so interesting.

#11: Some games for the kids

    #12: Nice gate.

#13: Little boy sitting on a fake horse.

Taking photos at there were kinda fun too as there’s many1:1 horse statue for you to ride and take photos.

#14: Clown without make up. Balloon boy!

    #15.

#16: Indie band playing on the stage.

    #17: Kids.

#18: Take photos on the horse.
    Knight!

#19: Cute poster of the Penang Turf Club Horse Show 2011.

#20: Only now I know Penang Turf Club is so nice!

    #21: OMGGGGGG, so niceeeeeeeeee
    , so green.

#22: Flying phoenix, mechanical horse riding.

#23: Pony riding, for kids only.

#24: Entrance to Penang Turf Club horse racing viewing deck, a place for the adults.

#25: Carriage riding at RM4/ride. Not bad.

I think it’s a good carnival and hopefully there will be more similar one from Penang Turf Club. Haha. Didn’t really spend a long time at there cause was “saja-saja” touring for fun and take photos. Happy Monday!

  • Bukit Melawati At Kuala Selangor

    Bukit Melawati At Kuala Selangor

    #1: On the tram.

Bukit Melawati At Kuala Selangor – Hello people, I am back, I am back, I am finally back to blogging! Let’s get into the main topic of the day, 2 weeks ago, I went to a field trip to Kuala Selangor with my Diploma In Interior Design semester 3 classmate as well as my lecturer Miss Sofia. Well, I have been to Kuala Selangor before, the fishing village there but I have never been up to Bukit Melawati, the main attraction of the little country side town.

#2: On the tram, still, going up to Bukit Melawati.

Kuala Selangor is a quiet and peaceful town 45 minutes away from the hustle and bustle city life of Kuala Lumpur. What’s famous here are seafood, Bukit Melawati, fireflies seeing, as well as the Kuala Selangor Nature Park (which I think kinda sucks).

    #3: Lighthouse on top.

    #4: Monkey and the lighthouse.

    #5: Monkey!!!

    #6: Monkey!!!!!!!!!! Black.

We took a tram that took us from Kuala Selangor Nature Park up to the Bukit Melawati. The mini hill top is not very high, but yet it gives a spectacular view at the Malacca Straits and the special thing up there are the lighthouse and the monkeys! Yes, I mentioned about monkey.

#7: Nice view with Malacca Straits at far end.

    #8: Zhi Sheng!

    #9: The blogger me.

#10: Ken, Wesley, me and Steve.

    #11: Wesley acting cool.

Upon arrival at the top, you will see many monkey wandering around the place, waiting tourist to feed them the monkey food that can be bought at RM1 at there. The monkey food basically is the Chinese Long Bean.

    #12: Monkeys acting cool.

    #13: The people.

Surprisingly, monkey at there looks different from the one in Botanical Garden, Penang which the monkeys there have black hair and are not aggressive. They won’t snatch or attack you for food.

    #14: My lecturer. Haha.

    #15: Junior.

#16: Zetty and Ana on the right.

    #17: Rashid.

    #18: MONKEYYYYY!!!

We spent some time up there enjoying the windy breeze and fooling around with the monkey. The place is quite nice. =D

  • Goose At Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus

Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus is one of the nicest university campus in Malaysia, the school fees also very “nice (expensive)”, yet the campus is really good. There’s a not-very-big lake in the middle of the campus.

On a fine and cloudy, relaxing and lovely afternoon at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus, students strolled around the lakeside and I saw animal by the lake.

The are the goose! I am not sure they are goose or duck. I thought it was duck, but mom told me it’s goose.

It’s goose because they are fatter and the neck is longer. What do you think?

These are the playful goose that always get onto the steps to find food. Students and passersby do feed them occasionally.

Luckily they didn’t get further onto the land, the found it bored and went back for a swim in the water. =D
