Penang Bridge View From Jelutong Nautilus Bay – Passed by Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway (formally Jelutong Expressway) last weeken when I was still in Penang, and went into Nautilus Bay to take photos of Penang Bridge, very random act but I want to share with you the beautiful of the straits.

First Time To Paradigm Mall – I believe many people in the Klang Valley knows about this new mall – Paradigm Mall at Kelana Jaya, PJ. It’s opened last week and there’s Kelly Chen, Justin, singers from Hong Kong to come and do the opening. One thing I’m very surprise is that upon it’s completion, 80% of the stores inside are open! The construction work is really fast. I passed by the place in last month and still doubting whether they will complete in a month or not.
I am a very kaypo person, I like to see new stuff, new place, so I went to check out with my friend from Penang – Arron and Carmen after class.
Heard that it’s very crowded during the weekends and a massive traffic jam around that area, but it’s weekday’s afternoon and it’s still good. I like the mall because it’s near to my place. Although Sunway Pyramid is nearer to me, I like Paradigm Mall more, because Golden Screen Cinema (GSC) will be opening soon! Hehehe, cheap movie tickets.
There’s quite a number of brands at there too. I found Fish & Co which has almost extinct in Malaysia at there. Cheap grocery shopping Tesco supermarket is opening soon too! The construction is not fully completed yet. The mall is kinda cool, it’s not super big like Mid Valley Megamall, but it’s has 7 floors and the interior is pretty clean and nice.
I kinda like the interior, the escalator placement is not consistent, sort of like zig zag, at least it’s not too formal or standard. Haha. One more thing, there’s many desserts shop! Ochado, Meet Fresh, Snowflakes, Chatime, Tong Pak Fu and more! It’s all under one place.

Sunday Morning @ Muntri Street – Last, last Sunday, I went to Muntri Street in Penang with my classmate and a group of pro sketchers to sketch the place, for leaning and sharing and fun. Muntri Street is really a nice place in Penang full of beautiful eclectic colonial style shophouses. It has history, it has story and arts. There’s many guesthouses at there too!
Interior design students from Taylor’s University was having a trip to Penang, the most beautiful city in Malaysia and one of the activity was ‘Sketch Muntri Street’, also an activity conducted by pro sketcher Ch’ng Kiah Kiean. I feel sad that my hand is not as pro as them, I don’t really sketch stuff, in fact, I kinda suck at it. I did some sketch, a bit, but then I went photo shooting around the place instead.

It’s a nice sunny Sunday morning and the weather was pretty clear, but then it’s hot too! I sweat quite a lot. Back to sketch, looking at other’s people sketches, I told myself I really have to sketch more. It doesn’t have to be uber pretty or detailed, as long as it has feeling, has visual, has proportion than it’s good, according to one of the pro sketches. Sketching is for fun and to express one’s feel to a visual.
Guess what I have found on Muntri Street? It’s another super big mural done by Ernest Zacharevic who did the Armenian Street’s mural. This one is really huge on a big piece of wall. It looks a bit scary but what the story is that it’s about a little girl learning kung-fu.

Goose Lays Egg At Taylor’s University & Tortoise By The Lake – Found some cool animal at the school’s lake today, I see many big size tortoise, swimming by the shore. This reminds me about rearing a tortoise when I was small. I wonder who put in the tortoise into the lake of Taylor’s. I bet they swim and eat LIKE A BOSS at there since people often throw food into the lake.
It’s gonna grow even bigger soon!
Another super cool and funny thing I found today is that the goose at the lake laid an egg! I wonder who it mate with. HAHA. OK, that’s not the point. We saw the goose sitting on her egg, waiting it to be hatched. So cool right? But the thing is…. the goose was not sitting on her egg, she’s sitting on a tennis ball!
Instead, we found the real egg at the other bushes. I was thinking, was the goose forgotten about her egg’s location, or someone was trying to trick the goose. Really special and funny. She had been sitting there for a few days, according to my friend. Hmmm.

Food Kiosk Project Presentation Day! – Finally, I can get a very short break now after working for so many weeks for the Food Kiosk design project for my Interior Design Studio subject. Just had my presentation yesterday, not perfect, but satisfied with what I’ve done. Although there’s critics from the lecturers, I take them as advice for improvement in future project and assignments.

The main thing that I’ve learned recently is 3D rendering. I love Google Sketchup + Vray, they are awesome. But then rendering 3D with Vray is a very hard thing because the setting is very hard to understand. It’s just like C++ programming and stuff. A lot of trial and error and trying and testing to make a perfect one. I am still learning and need to learn from the pro, perhaps take an external course (any idea where?). =D By the way, 3Dsmax sucks. Haha.

The presentation was fun. Spent quite a lot for printing, but love what I’ve printed. I was nervous before my turn but it went fun during my turn to explain and present. Yay!

Well, happy short 1-week holiday to my classmate, I am going to the most awesome place in Malaysia – Penang tomorrow, my home! And after the break, gonna get busy again with another project. Busy college life, and it’s fun.

Daiso RM5 Special Floor Wipe Tissue For Dust & Hair – This is not an advertisment, but a random post about my recent purchase. Hahaha. I went to the Japanese RM5 shop – Daiso lately and bought myself a sweeper which you can stick a piece of dust sticking tissue paper on it, and too the pack of ’tissue paper’ itself. Each item for RM5.
The ’tissue paper’ wiper sheet can stick hair and dust very well and this is a sweeper for lazy people like me who lives in a rented room. I am quite lazy to sweep the floor you know, you have to sweep and pour the dirty stuff away. With this, you just sweep, it stick on the sheet and you remove and throw. Easy! Do you use this?
Blue Sky Morning @ Taylor’s University – The sky was pretty blue today in the morning, I took out my little camera (Panasonic Lumix LX5) and snap a few shots. Ahh, I love blue sky day so much, but I hate the heat and sun during noon. School life has been a bit boring because I am doing the same thing over and over again. So wish that the presentation for current project can be get over as soon as possible so I can proceed with the next design project.

3DsMax Is So Complicated – Learning a CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for interior design now and I feel it’s so complicated and troublesome. I have heard many people told me that pro uses 3Ds Max for interior design, is it true? I want to be pro also, but the software is really hard to understand and draw. I prefer Google Sketchup + Vray, what do you think? =)
Design Assignments, Projects = NO LIFE? – I have been doing a lot of assignments lately, almost everyday that I am working on my school’s assignments which is related to Interior Design. Some people started saying me ‘NO LIFE’ that I everyday do, do and do, lacking entertainment and going out to relax. Hahaha, I also started to think that am I having a ‘NO LIFE’?
I guess many design school student, e.g. interior design, graphic design, or multimedia design, even architecture student have the same ‘assignments/projects all-the-time’ life as me, right? I think it’s only us, the creative student is the most busy one, I see business school’s students are so free.
But then, I kinda enjoy this kind of busy-ness (WEIRD). I just keep thinking that I have to finish the assignments fast so that I can enjoy to the fullest, I wonder is it correct or not? I am trying to find a balance point between work and play, but haven’t found it yet as I think that right now, my responsible, my task is to study well; only when I am working in the future, work and play must be balance.
Well, I’ve got to say, working on projects non-stop is my life right now, I just wanted to finish them fast and end it quickly. Mom is also getting frustrated that every time I tell her that I am doing project. Do you have a busy working, assignments life like me, and enjoying it?

I Want A View Like This! – Kuala Lumpur From 1 Sentul – Went to visit a condominium in Sentul – 1 Sentul Condominium last week to do school project and found out the view from the window is so awesome! Although it’s not close to KL, but I can see everything from here! So wish that I can have a place like this. Work hard, study hard, buy a good condo with good view in the future. =D
I like condo more than land houses, how about you?
