Budapest: The City Looks Even More Beautiful At Night, Trust Me!

Budapest: The City Looks Even More Beautiful At Night, Trust Me! – Free tour in the morning brought us to the main attractions for just a few hours, but that was already enough as the city was walkable. As usual, night came in early during winter at about 4pm and that’s the awesome self-walking night tour came in. Budapest lighted up beautifully at night during Christmas period which has more Christmas sensation than London, Krakow, nor Warsaw!

Christmas Market brought out the happenings feeling with people holding mulled wine on one hand and walking around, some standing under the heater lamp. We were just wandering around, looking for cheap but but ended got scam into buying expensive beautiful-looking Christmas sweets. Damn.

Looking at kids skating on the ice ring, enjoyed 10 minutes of peace in St Stephen Basilica and draining the remaining feet energy walking 2KM along the great Andrassy Avenue to Heroes Square and checked out the Schzenyi Baths and Vajdahunyad Castle were just tiring yet fun way to explore and spend the night in Budapest. Great day in this beautiful Budapest!

Chain Bridge and Budapest Castle lighted up!  Chain Bridge looks a bit like a miniature version of Brooklyn Bridge from here!

    Hungarian Science Academy!

Beautiful isn’t it? The glowing St Stephen Basilica.

    Inside St Stphen Basilica.

    Scam, don’t buy, it’s expensive!

Beautiful but I tell you it’s priced by weight and it’s heavy!

So down after eating these because we’ve got scammed at the market.

    Roasted pork, siu-yok-lookalike.

    Hungarian State Opera, side view.

    Alexandra Book Store.

Glowing ice rink at far end.

    Heroes Square!

This place claimed to be the largest ice rink in Europe, too bad I don’t get to skate on it.

    Peep into Schzenyi Baths. Cool!

    Schzenyi Baths from outside.

Vajdahunyad Castle, no idea what is this place but just visit it.

Yeah, statue sitting like a boss!

Budapest: Free Tour, Buda Castle, St Stephen Basilica & More Awesome Places In Day Time

Eastern Europe Trip // Budapest: Free Tour, Buda Castle, St Stephen Castle & More Awesome Places In Day Time – One thing I like about travelling in Europe is most of the famous cities have these free walking tour that brings you around the main attractions, tell you a little bit stories of the place and the best of all as I mentioned, it’s free. No fee, no pre-payment, but they call it tip-based free walking tour. That’s how they earn money, from your tips, but seriously you can choose not to tip the guide, it’s up to you. Well, we didn’t tip, as we were so tight on budget, and there’s also a little bit of cheapskate trait of Asian. LOL.

It’s a lovely day in Budapest, too bad it’s not a blue-ish sunny day, but this city made me excited. Culture-ful, friendly people, huge street, big buildings, historical, beautiful architecture and I find that Budapest is very attractive to me! There’s no tall and modern building in the city, they are old and classical, which makes the city really beautiful. Moreover, the road are really wide and big which makes me feel like being in a metropolitan city like New York, London. Cut the crap, and let the photos speaks!

Jewish Synagogue in Dohany Street. Till now, I still don’t get a chance to see how’s a Jewish Synagogue looks like from the inside, and most of them charge a fee to enter. If it’s so, then suak liao.

    The street has feel!

Traffic light for bicycle only, something you don’t really get to see in South East Asia.

    Our free tour guides!

No lock bridge in Budapest, but they just lock up the grill wrapping the lamp post.

And hey Clarice, guess what I’ve just found! 😛

Beautiful St Stephen Basilica at background.

Chain Bridge and Buda Castle at the back. This view is damn awesome!

    River Danube.

Closer look of Buda Castle, remember Katy Perry’s Fireworks? I’ll show you the night view in the next post.

Budapest Castle Hill Funicular, just reminds me of Penang Hill!

Sandor Palace, home of Hungarian President.

At the square beside Matthias Church.

    Embracing Budapest from Castle Hill.

Hungarian Parliament, one of the most awesome and largest Parliament building in the world. To be honest, this looks better than Palace of Westminster! What do you think?

Very old tram. 1313, a good number for Toto 4D Magnum. You can mix and match with 41 too!

    Hungarian Academy of Science.

    Jump.

Vaci Street, Main shopping street of Budapest.

    Pig at Great Market Hall.

More pig, it looks digusting with a hanging dead pig at the pork stall.

Hungarian Gyulai Sausage, something you should try there!

  • Hong Kong: Awesome Night View From The Peak

Hong Kong, View From The Peak

Hong Kong: Awesome Night View From The Peak – Something that I’ve stopped posting for quite some times and that’s my trip to China – Hong Kong last year. Suddenly remembered that I still have quite many thing about my travel to China to share, so I quickly sit in front of my computer and start looking for photos before I forget about it.

Hong Kong, View From The Peak

One of the nice experience in Hong Kong was heading to The Peak at night to check out the Hong Kong night view. I tell you, queuing up for the tram at night is a disaster, it could take you more than an hour for it as it’s a long queue, everyday! You can take the bus, if you know how to, or like us, we took the haggling cab waiting by the roadside. The cab charges 4 of us for HK$40 which I think pretty reasonable after some negotiation, as it brings us all the way up, and cutting all the long queue.

Hong Kong, View From The Peak

Hong Kong, View From The Peak

The temperature up there was superb, chilly, windy, cold. It’s very happenings up there, lots of people were taking photos of the spectacular view of Hong Kong from top. It’s just so awesome. At 8pm every night, there’s the light show, it’s weird that you see the light but you can’t hear any music like you can hear at the Avenue Of Star. Nevertheless, it’s worth to visit The Peak at night. I’ve been there in the morning before.

    Look Out Point, Ampang

    Look Out Point, Ampang
#1: Someone celebrating birthday at there. Cool.

Look Out Point, Ampang – Have you ever wonder where to get a good and magnificent view of the big capital of Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur? It would be Look Out Point at Ampang. It’s not very far from town, on a little hill and at there you can get a wide perspective of the whole city and it’s really a nice place to chill.

What you will be seeing is not anything like the cityscape of Hong Kong or Singapore because the place is kinda far from the city centre and so, the cityscape became tiny and far.

#2: Welcome to Kuala Lumpur. The night view of Kuala Lumpur.

    #3: Me and you, Hueisean.

    #4: Hueisean the pretty girl.

Look Out Point is only accessible by road and at there has a various restaurant serving western and local cuisine. I have visited Haven Restaurant with dearest, Hueisean on a Saturday night but the food wasn’t that awesome. What’s great was the atmosphere and the awesome view.

    #5: Nick Chan!

Driving there take a bit challenge at first as it doesn’t show up in my GPS device, but if you follow Google Maps, you can arrive there easily and the road accessing Look Out Point has no lamp, so it’s just lights from the vehicles on the road. =D Parking is rather cheap at RM2 per entry and you can opt for valet parking at the top for an extra RM3 but you probably difficult to get one as the parking always get full on top. We park our car down there and walk up the stairs, tiring a bit, yet fun with a little breezy wind.

#6: Stairs going down to the carpark.

#7: Look Out Point Western Food.

Eat, talk, chill, take photos and I like it. =D
