Malacca: Hangout@Jonker Hotel

Hangout @ Jonker

Malacca: Hangout@Jonker Hotel – Cheap & Clean – OK, it might not as cheap as those backpackers lodge/hostel/beds, but at least, it’s almost a hotel, minus those fancy facilities, but with a clean and minimalist design room, a breakfast bar, friendly staff and a very good location. It’s a no frill hotel like Tune Hotel but has a better looking interiors. =D

The front facade, it’s a 4 storey shophouse.
Breakfast/chill area with free Internet access and pantry.

So this was the place for my night at Malacca last weekend. I’ve tried a backpacker’s lodge before, and now this time, an upgrade from previous one and costed me RM80/night. It’s a promotional rate actually that I’ve got via their Facebook. Hangout occasionally runs promotional deal via their Facebook, so you might have to check out for the best rate. Else, it’s RM147 (Internet) / RM228 (Walk-In).

View from the roof top. Lovely Malacca river.
This is the twin hotel room. Simple and clean.
Overall, the stay was good, it’s just right beside of the famous Jonker Walk of Malacca. No parking available and I parked my car at the Red Christ Church there and walk over to the hotel. Free breakfast provided too with light meal like bread and coffee and one more, there’s a open roof top for chilling and viewing the Malacca river. If it’s always that cheap then good, otherwise, the rate is pretty expensive for budget Malaysian traveler like me. Haha, if you are from the Singapore then it’s pretty good price for you. Cheer!
Jalan Hang Lekiu,
75200 Malacca.
