Ground floor is not the steamboat. You enter via the stairs beside, but then the ground floor restaurant has the similar design. |
Klang Valley: Dragon Door Steamboat 龙门客栈火锅店 – My friend Wesley has been telling me how good and special the steamboat is and I went to tried it last week, I felt … OKOK-only.
You will be welcome by a wall of the shop owners photo taken with some celebrities. Do note that some photos are repeating to create a illusion that super celebrities were here before. Haha, but in fact, there’s quite many celebrities have been there. |
The interiors. |
What’s so special about this Dragon Door Steamboat at Cheras, near to Leisure Mall is the interior setting which is very cool, warm and got feel, and then the steamboat is fired by a real charcoal pot which many people claims that it taste better like this. I was not really surprised with charcoal steamboat as there’s one in Penang already.

There’s no set menu, it’s all a la carte where you order the dishes one by one of your choice which I find it’s pretty difficult to get satisfaction, more over we are student and keep thinking how much it costs in the end. There’s plenty of sauce for you to mix and match to be eaten with your steamboat that I feel is nice.
Oops, photo was bombed by the steam. Anyway, I very hate Si Chuan Spicy Soup. |
Whereas the soup were pretty good too except for the Si Chuan spicy soup which I’ve never fancy about all the while, I like the pork leg soup which surprisingly didn’t result in the craving of fluid like other steamboat’s soup does that has lots of MSG.
Us again. |
Well, it’s a nice place, a little bit pricey and confusing that they should have set menu, and I prefer La Mei Zi in Penang.
