On the first day I was in Hong Kong, after checking in the hotel, we took a cab to visit my auntie’s restaurant/cafe/char chan teng at Tai Chuen St, Tai Kok Tsui 大角咀 somewhere west of Mong Kok area of Kowloon.
Auntie was so kind and treated us for lunch and I ate a lot there. Since we were so full, we’ve decided to take a walk around the area.
I can feel that Hong Kong is not a big city. They have words on the road asking pedestrian to look right or left before crossing the road. This is for noobs. Haha, just kidding.
I got a map of Hong Kong at the airport which eventually turns me into a tour guide for my mom and dad. =) Next time I can bring you around already if you want to go Hong Kong with me.
We didn’t know where were we actually. Turn into this street turn into that street and we’ve turned into a open air market. It’s different from our market in Malaysia. It’s located on a lane or street but no cars are allow to pass through the street.
It sells fruit and vegetable mainly there.
At the end of the market lane, we came to Argyll Rd where you can find some shopping malls at Mong Kok area. Mom saw H&M at Langham Place and she went shopping. I was shooting outside. Seriously, it is so hot inside H&M because of the spotlight. I prefer staying outside where there’s wind and cool air.
People is everywhere. I like the traffic lights at the junction because their traffic light is special and different from here. They have a speaker mount onto every traffic light and gives out morse code liked sound which guide the blinds to cross the road.
Later, we walked to the 3 famous street in Mong Kok area, the Fa Yuen Street, Tung Choi Street (Ladies Street) and Sai Yeung Choi Street. =)
