Sunset: Not So Awesome At Tanjung Bungah

Sunset: Not So Awesome At Tanjung Bungah – Last week in Penang was not awesome because it’s haze everywhere. But I still ignore the hazy weather and go out to enjoy the sunset, hoping that I could get some good one. The one at Tanjung Bungah wasn’t that nice, but it’s a fun one for me.

I went to the little beach in front fo Naza Taliyya Hotel with Kenny. I guess this place has a good view of Tanjung Bungah with beautiful seaside condominium in view. Tanjung Bungah is now famous for luxurious sea view super-condominium, how wish I can own a unit there too. =D

Well, I couldn’t really get a good view of the sun set, it just went behind the cloud. =)

Pearl Hill Tua Pek Kong Temple

Pearl Hill Tua Pek Kong Temple – Pearl Hill’s Tua Pek Kong Temple is another cool Tua Pek Kong temple in Penang, located on the hill top of Pearl Hill at Tanjung Bungah. I found out that this temple is kinda cool because it’s located on top of a hill instead of at the ground level.

Many people might not realize about the presence of this temple because it’s at the Pearl Hill. Pearl Hill is a high-end residential area which houses many bungalow by the hillside. What’s so special about this Pearl Hill Tua Pek Kong Temple is that from here, you can get a good view of Tanjung Bungah and the sea.

You also can enjoy a nice breeze of air. It’s really relaxing up there and recently there’s news of turning the area of the Tua Pek Kong Temple into recreation park so more people can enjoy the scenery and nature. Gotto thanks my friend Merritt for introducing me about this place last time. I can see that Penang people really like Tua Pek Kong.

Penang Tanjung Bungah Goreng Pisang (Pisang Goreng)

    #1.

Penang Tanjung Bungah Goreng Pisang (Pisang Goreng) – Pisang Goreng literally means fried banana (banana fritter) is a famous snack food in Malaysia, grammatically it’s called Pisang Goreng but Chinese called it the “goreng pisang” more.

Banana is battered and then deep fried in hot oil.. It reveals a crunchy skin with a sweet banana fruit inside.

    #2.

There’s one stall at Tanjung Bungah, on the junction of Jalan Chan Swee Teong and Jalan Tanjung Bungah, on a little lorry that sells the goreng pisang as well as several other deep fried local snack food like tapioca (RM0.70/pcs), glutinous rice (RM1.50/pcs), banana cake (RM0.50/pcs), yam (RM1.00/pcs), cempedak, sweet potato (RM0.70/pcs) and green bean (RM0.70/pcs). All of them are deep fried with a crunchy outer skin.

Dinner at Sri Ananda Tanjung Bungah

    Sweet couple.

The dinner was so full, I ordered something call Chicken don’t know what Pratta. It’s like roti canai chopped into pieces mixed with chicken and lots of onion. Very full after the meal because I had bak zhang before going to Sri Ananda as the next day was Bak Zhang Festival.

We just eat and talk at there. After that, they came to my place to watch Switzerland versus Spain. Very LOL match because Spain did not score. Switzerland defend until very hard. Wow.
