Dinner At Sushi Zanmai, Paradigm Mall

Dinner At Sushi Zanmai, Paradigm Mall – It was 9pm on a Saturday night and the whole Paradigm Mall at Kelana Jaya was so crowded with people! I picked a wrong place for dinner already. I jammed in the car park, then I jammed inside the mall. It’s human everywhere! Every eatery outlet, restaurants, cafe have a queue outside their outlet.

I went to Sushi Zaimai at the top floor and found a long queue outside the Japanese restaurant too! No doubt about the queue because they always have queue outside their outlet all the time, except the one at Sunway Pyramid. It’s 9.30pm and so lucky that Hueisean and I were the last person who get to eat as we were the last order. I wonder why so early as it’s still 9,30pm only, guess they wanted to close shop earlier? Haha.

US! =D Hueisean dear and me.

The waitress took our order, queued for another half an hour, then we were sited in a big table. Our orders came fast. It’s a very simple dinner. We ordered a Spicy Ramen, a Chicken Karaage Don and a Dai Dai Roll.

Dinner At Sushi Zanmai, Paradigm Mall

Spicy Ramen (RM10.80) is a soup ramen with vegetable, mushroom and ramen. The soup is salty, a little bit spicy and I’ll say good, but then there’s not much ingredient in this bowl of ramen. There should have char siew or tamago. Hahaha.

Next is the Chicken Karaage Don (RM8.80) which is rice, fried chicken with sweet sauce and onion. The chicken is crispy fried in Japanese style, but I found that this dish is too dry and not nice eating it. I prefer Chicken Katsudon more with a bit gravy and egg.

Dinner At Sushi Zanmai, Paradigm Mall

Last one, a dozen of Dai Dai Roll (RM12.80). The name of this roll is really very funny, Dai Dai, die die? It’s sushi roll with slices of salmon on top, crab meat and avocado. It’s nice, but then the salmon is too thin already, it should have been a thicker cut. But since the price is OK, then it’s OK.

I took the Aeroline bus from Penang down to Kuala Lumpur, the bus is not like typical intercity express bus, but it’s something more luxurious with food and drinks served just like in an airplane, except there’s 4 wheels. LOL.

They have different menu for different time, I heard there’s nasi lemak, fried bee hoon, chicken rice and also Subway sandwich. As for my time, I took the morning bus at 1030am, they served me Chicken Rice. It’s warm and surprisingly the chicken was not bad, except for the rice, doesn’t taste like chicken rice to me. The gravy was nice when eating with the rice and chicken.

Food on-the-bus was not bad. Haha

  • Japanese Don (Rice) For Lunch At Marufuku, Taylor’s University

Japanese Don (Rice) For Lunch At Marufuku, Taylor’s University

Now I have a mission and that is pay all the F&B outlet in Taylor’s University a visit, I don’t really want to try all of what they offer but just eat out at all of the restaurant. This is because that there’s so many F&B outlet opening and opens at the commercial block area also known as Syopz @ Boardwalk, what a weird name. Being a student there, I need to try all only I allow myself to graduate. Haha.

For sure this can be done because this is only my first year in the university. =D I have tried a few and here’s one that I have been to lately, it’s a Japanese ramen and don restaurant called Marufuku.

Order and pay at the counter then a number will be given. Then wait for the food to be served.

This restaurant specialized in ramen but also do sell don (rice) and have a variety of choice to choose from starting from RM7. I ordered myself a Oyaku Don (RM10) which is just chicken and egg. I was wanting to order the Curry Don (RM8) but I did not cause I just had it lately from the food court. Well about the taste and the experience, it’s not super awesome but for the price, I think it’s good, there should be more chicken though, maybe come with a miso soup then it will be perfect.

Here’s a Curry Don (RM8) that my friend order, look simple so I think the price should be lower a bit.

Another one is my friend’s Niku Don (RM12) which is a beef rice. Looks like vegetable slice instead of beef.

This place is opens to public. =)

For RM3.50, I got a plate of lor duck and a plate of rice. I couldn’t say the duck was awesome, it’s good but not awesome. The duck was braised with the lor sauce, then there’s garlic and green onion. Eating the duck meat with the chili sauce was good. The set was not complete because there’s no vegetable. =)
