Nokia 603 – Another Symbian Belle Phone

Nokia 603 – Another Symbian Belle Phone – I kept thinking that Nokia will not make another Symbian phone because Nokia announced that they will migrate their platform from Symbian to Windows Phone. However, Nokia has just released another Symbian Belle phone, named the Nokia 603. This added another device into the Symbian Belle family of Nokia 600, Nokia 700 and Nokia 701.

Physically, the design of the phone improved and appears to be sleeker than the other 3 model. The phone is powered by 1GHz processor, as well as supports the NFC feature.

It has a 3.5inch ClearBlack display which increase visibility under bright sunlight. On the back, it features a 5 megapixel camera which can shoot 720p video at 30fps. Nokia 603 comes in black and white but there 6 rear covers which you can change to suit your personality. Pricing detail is that it will cost about €200 (approx. RM862) and ship in Q4 2011.

No iPhone 5, It’s Apple iPhone 4S

“It’s the most amazing iPhone yet.”

No iPhone 5, It’s Apple iPhone 4S – Apple 4th October 2011 “Let’s Talk iPhone” event is now over and disappointingly there’s no iPhone 5 announced, it’s just a change of hardware in the current Apple iPhone 4 and they called it the iPhone 4S, just like the iPhone 3gS update 2 years ago.

It’s 100% identical with the current iPhone 4, but in the inner part, the hardware is equip with the same processor that powers the Apple iPad 2 – Apple A5 Dual-core CPU, which enables 7x faster graphic performance, the camera is now upgraded to 8megapixel camera on par with other smartphone, sporting a new optics with backlight illuminating sensor which means capturing clearer picture in low light, f2.4 aperture lens. On the other hand, Apple has fixed the “antennagate” problem which the phone is also a “World Phone”, supporting both GSM and CDMA network. No 4G though.

Another thing is – Siri Assistant, a voice guide on the phone that talks to you is included, which is just another app to promote the iPhone 4S. No words mention that Siri Assistant will be available on other device besides the Apple iPhone 4S, it might be the premium app for the 4S.

So in short, it’s just better CPU, improved camera, “World Phone”, iOS5 equipped and no redesign. I was and believes many were hoping for a bigger screen iPhone, a redesigned, bigger battery capacity (though Apple claims iPhone 4S has better battery life with the same capacity), as well as NFC or 4G-equiped. Unfortunately, not.

No news about Malaysia’s availability and price. Our closest nation, Singapore will get it on 28th October 2011.

DiGi iPhone 4 Promotion At RM43/month – DiGi slashes price for their monthly iPhone 4 plans again which makes it the lowest at only RM43/month. They have reduced the monthly subscription by RM10/month at all packages. With the latest promotion, you can an extra RM240 worth of savings.

The promotion is valid from 3 October to 31 December 2011.

However, iPhone 5 or the iPhone 4S is about to announced on tomorrow. Could it be a clearance to welcome the new iPhone? Will know soon. Really excited for the Apple event tomorrow. Are you?

Google Nexus Prime Is Coming On October 11th

Google Nexus Prime Is Coming On October 11th – We have got the iPhone 5 news previously and here’s a latest news is that Samsung will reveal it’s next Google Nexus successor, the Google Nexus Prime phone at the Unpacked CTIA event at San Diego (co-hosted by Google) featuring the Ice Cream Sandwich Android firmware.

The Google Nexus is the official phone releases by Google, but produced by the Korean giant, Samsung. The event is just two weeks away, and after the announcing of iPhone and it will be the Google Nexus Prime (Samsung Nexus Prime), which means that October 2011 is an awesome month.

Netizen and tech bloggers are expecting that the next Nexus phone will be debut at this event, featuring a large HD Super AMOLED screen as well as a powerfu Exynos (produced by Samsung) chipset with as high as 1.5GHz dual core processor.

Well, the coming two weeks is gonna be awesome. I am a Google Nexus One user by the way.

Larger Screen And Thinner iPhone 5 On 4th October? – In less then a week time and Apple’s new CEO – Tim Cook will take on the stage to announce the next generation of iPhone (as expected). Even though, there’s still no official photo or ideas on what’s the next iPhone is going to be like, factories in China has already making the case for iPhone 5 (iPhone 4S) like nobody’s business.

According to sources, the case is actually made according to a iPhone prototype that was stolen from Foxconn factory in Shenzhen.

Looking at the video, it shows that the new iPhone 5 will be 33% smaller and is a complete redesign of the current iPhone 4. It also features a larger screen and the design of the phone is lookalike with the current Apple iPad.

It’s pretty hard from me the judge from the video, but I would definitely like to see an iPhone with a bigger screen. I find the current design is cool and sleek too. At the moment, let’s wait till next Tuesday for the “boom, one more thing”.

Google Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich Interface Leaked – Google Android’s next anticipating mobile OS updates – Ice Cream Sandwich’s interface was leaked on the Internet by a lucky user who bought a Google Nexus S off Ebay. The owner of the phone bought a Nexus S from Ebay and surprise to see that it’s interface is different from current Gingerbread version. After checking through “About” in the Setting menu, he found out that the phone is actually running on a pre-release/test version of the next updates, the Ice Cream Sandwich.

Ice Cream Sandwich is said to be on par with Apple’s iOS 5 and have even more features and a little bit revamped of the UI. It included some Android’s Honeycomb element in it just like the multi-tasking screen, as well as a new lock screen which features the camera shortcut in just a swipe.

There’s also a different app drawer, which has tabs on top separating Apps and Widgets. Widgets shows you a list of widgets that you have and can be added on your phone. Another thing that you will notice is the Google Apps folder which includes all Google Services in a folder.

Check out the video below which was taken by the Nexus S owner. It’s known that the new version will be released in about two months time, with pre-installed in the next Google Nexus Prime phone.

Some Windows Phone 7 user can expecting updates starting from not but Microsoft stated hat majority of Windows Phone 7 users worldwide will be having it by end of October.

Nokia 600 sports a dedicated speaker which is loud and clear when sound. It has a 100g overall weight and 3.2inch nHD screen which pushes out 640×360 pixel resoulution and comes with 2GB internal storage. The camera of this phone is a 5MP camera which shoots quality up to 720p HD video.

On the other hand, Nokia 700 is Nokia’s smallest smartphone with weight at less than 100g.
