Klang Valley: Namoo On The Park, Publika

Klang Valley: Namoo On The Park, Publika – So many to write about in my blog, my Taiwan’s trip, some cool food in Klang Valley, my internship experience and the Miao Hui in Penang that happened last month. Stay tuned to my blog, keep reading, keep sharing, I will bring more good photos and content to you all. =)
Few weeks back in KL, I went to Publika for dinner. The initial plan was S.Wine at B.I.G, but then when we arrived, the lady told us that the kitchen has closed! What a bad timing, and we ended up at Namoo In The Park, a contemporary Korean-Fusion restaurant with a cute name and contemporary atmosphere. I pretty much like the interiors of this little restaurant that locates on the first floor of Publika.
Recently have been eating a lot of nice restaurant food lately, going broke but I just can’t stop myself from exploring more of them. HAHA. Talk about the food, it’s Korean Fusion, so it’s Western-Korean mix. The rice burger is uberly nice and big portion. Fish & Chips was huge too, but a little bit too standard and the famous potato cake was not my type of desserts, too sticky with a mooncake feeling.
Afterall, not bad, can come back again. So is not bad, can come back again.

  • Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant 닭갈비

    Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant 닭갈비

Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant – Was feeling Korean food last weekend, searched all over the Internet for a decent and affordable Korean food but the list was just too much. I couldn’t narrowed down my choices, and ended I found this Uncle Jang, affordable and authentic Korean food, serving only Dak-Gal Bi.

Was very curious with the food name. I am not really familiar with Korean, Japanese is OK, but not Korean and I am not a fan of Kpop too. Found out that Dak Gal Bi 닭갈비 is BBQ chicken with spice and vegetable, then eat with lettuces and later add on fried rice, ramyun noodle and more. Sounds interesting!

Off we go to Ampang, the little Korean Town to search for it. There’s a branch at Bandar Puteri, Puchong but I insisted to go to the original one that filled with Koreans. =D

There’s only Dak-Galbi at there. Minimum order is two set, non-spicy (RM19) and spicy (RM22), You can mix it up to become mild. Then you can top-up fried rice or noodle and other (RM6) to eat with it. Else, it’s all chicken and vegetable.

Sit down and wait for the people to cook for you. The taste is OK-spicy to me. Not super spicy, just good and you get only 2 ban chan – some kim chi and onion. After eating about 2/3 of the chicken, you can ask the rice to be served. The person will again fried the rice in front of you with the ingredient left on the hot plate.

Taste? Good, don’t really like wrapping with lettuce, but eating with rice or noodle is awesome! BUT! 2 set for 2 of us is just so so much! I think it can serve about 3-4 people!

Satisfied, good service and no service charge. I will come back again in the future.

  • Kimchi Fried Rice At B Station, Taylor’s University

Kimchi Fried Rice At B Station, Taylor’s University

More and more restaurants are popping up at Taylor’s University commercial area, the Syopz @ Boardwalk. Korean, Chinese, Japanese and recently an Italian restaurant, I wonder what’s next. Few days ago, I went to the Korean restaurant, B-Station to have my dinner.

Looking over the menu, I felt like eating kimchi and so I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice (RM9,90) with added minced beef (RM2.00).

It comes with the kimchi vegetables, a soup and of course, the rice with a sunny egg.

Well as for the taste, I got to say I like it because I can taste the kimchi taste in the rice and can feel the little kimchi among the rice. The minced beef added some meat biting experience in the mouth, making it even better.

Unfortunately, the soup was not that nice, it’s a korean soup but served warm, not hot enough. Pricing wise, I think it should be less than RM10 instead of adding RM2 for the beef meat.

From what I have known, this restaurant is operate by real Korean and the chef is also a Korean. You guys can check out the place as it has nice interior.
