  • Klang Valley: Crispy Siu Yuk & Char Siew Rice, SS2 Wai Sek Kai

Klang Valley: Crispy Siu Yuk & Char Siew Rice, SS2 Wai Sek Kai

Klang Valley: Crispy Siu Yuk & Char Siew Rice, SS2 Wai Sek Kai – Now only I know that the SS2 Murni doesn’t open for lunch, they are open for dinner only! I thought that the other outlet of Murni Discovery opens for lunch and this original outlet too. I wanted to eat Claypot Lao Shu Fen for lunch, but ended up at the SS2 Wai Sek Kai.
There’s not many stalls open for lunch too at this SS2 Wai Sek Kai, but you can find some Mixed Rice stalls, noodle stalls and also this Ah Seng Hainan Chicken Rice Stall. So my lunch was here!
Opens from lunch till dinner, the stall sells Hainanese Chicken Rice, Char Siew, Siew Yuk, Wan Tan Mee and porridge. Didn’t have much feeling for chicken so it was Char Siew & Siew Yuk and it costs RM5.50 for it. It also comes with a compliment of bitter-gourd soup that soothes the dry plate of rice.
The Siew Yuk is has crispy skin which is very nice and the BBQ Char Siew is sweet enough but then it’s not overly BBQ-ed which lack a bit of burned taste. The rice on the other hand is oily and OK-good.
Well, to sum up, this is quite a good stall for Chicken, Char Siew and Siew Yuk rice in SS2. =)

Nice Hokkien Prawn Mee At Tanjung Bungah Market Food Court

Nice Hokkien Prawn Mee At Tanjung Bungah Market Food Court – I love Hokkien Prawn Mee, it’s one of the must-eat food in Penang, the prawn taste food is so yummylicious. You can eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea time or supper.

Nice Hokkien Prawn Mee At Tanjung Bungah Market Food Court
Recently, I found a nice Hokkien Prawn Mee (introduced by Hueisean =D) at the Tanjung Bungah Market Food Court. It’s only RM3.00 per bowl Hokkien Prawn Mee and you will get a lot of ingredient like shrimps, meat, and egg. You can add another 30 cents for an extra egg. What’s so best about this Hokkien Prawn Mee is the soup, filled with strong prawn taste, sweet, and spicy, it’s good.

Compare to the one at Perak Road, I guess both of them has their delicious point, it’s just that you do not have to wait for a long time for this. I had it for breakfast few days ago.

  • Chicken Cordon Bleu At Max Deli Western Food

Chicken Cordon Bleu At Max Deli Western Food

Chicken Cordon Bleu At Max Deli Western Food – Max Deli Western Food is a food stall located in food court of Tanjung Bungah area, just right opposite of The Cove Condominium. They actually serve affordable Malaysian-style western food and I found it kinda good.

I don’t really have a favourite western food corner in Penang now, last time I used to like James Foo’s Western Food at Fettes Park, but after upgrading to a better outlet, there have always been crowded and taste wise is not as good as before. It doesn’t feel comfortable eating at there because there’s always very many people. The one at Mount Erskine is not bad too.

Back to this Max Deli, I find its Chicken Cordon Bleu is not bad, crunchy enough with thick filling of cheese and sausage. Presentation might not be good but it costs only RM9 per plate.

  • Tomyam Soup Pad Thai And Tomyam Fried Rice On Macalister Road

Tomyam Soup Pad Thai And Tomyam Fried Rice On Macalister Road

    P1070007

Here comes some cheap Thai food hawker stall that I’ve visited recently for lunch. Few days ago, I went to the Pinang Delicious Food Court on Macalister Road for lunch. I heard that there’s some nice fried rice at there from friend, so I decided to order fried rice for me for lunch that day.

    P1070005

The fried rice is actually from a Thai Food hawker stall and they serve various Thai dishes too but mainly fried rice.

So, I ordered a Thai Tomyam fried rice (RM4). I found it pretty nice, but a little bit not so dry, and surprised to find crab stick in there which makes it tasted sweet. The tomyam taste was just nice, not too strong and feels good. If you are craving from strong tomyam, it maybe not enough for you. In my opinion, if it’s drier, then it’s perfect!

Mom ordered a Pad Thai With Tomyam Soup served with white rice (RM4). The tomyam soup was pretty sour and the pad thai was filled with vegetable. I like the tomyam soup more. =D
