It’s getting a feeling that Singapore is not a good place for shopping now. The exchange rate of Singapore Dollar is getting higher, and so stuff sell there is expensive when converting to Ringgit Malaysia. That’s why it doesn’t seems nice to shop in Singapore. Even the computer products are almost the same price as in Malaysia.
Ipod is still cheaper there though other Apple’s computer is just same price as in here, with a few bucks difference.
I went to Vivo City and just bought a pair of shorts and a couple of t-shirt, not saying that it’s cheaper or what than in Malaysia, it’s just there’s a small sales in the shop.
Went to IMM Mall too at Jurong and at there, we saw a $2 shop named Daiso, a Japanese brand company. At least, that’s a better place for me to scoop things up. One low flat rate, not very low, approximately RM4.40 when exchange to Ringgit Malaysia. A total of 31 items we bought, some is mom’s, some is mine, and some is dad’s.
I got myself wooden pencils, files for tuition use and school use, notepads, the cool pen holder shown in the photo and it’s all mainly stationery.
At Orchard Rd, just visited the Muji Store in Paragon. I love Muji’s stuff, everything sells there is so cool, simplicity, classy but some is expensive and some is not. I loves shopping for stationery there. The first time I went to a Muji Store was in Hong Kong in March, it was that time that I get to know about that shop. There’s no Muji in Malaysia though. Bought a lot of refills for pens, to keep my Muji stationery supplied until my next visit to a Muji store at don’t-know-where.
I thought that computers hardware is cheaper in Singapore, though there will always be tax when taking home to Malaysia. Surprisingly no check at the Malaysian’s custom. However, after looking around at the computer shops in Singapore, it’s not cheap, some is even more expensive than in Malaysia.
So, that’s why I bought my Aspire One mini-notebook in Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur rather in some typical Singapore’s computer shop. It’s like a few tens buck cheaper than Singapore.
This conclude my shoppings in my recent trip to the capital and Singapore. =)
