This happened 3 weeks ago I guess, on the same Saturday when I visited the YE Sales Fair at Queensbay. It’s after the visit at Queensbay then Alvin fetch me to the Georgetown City Stadium at Dato Keramat there. It was said to be started at 4pm and we were so late and arrived at the stadium at around 5 and luckily it was just right after half-time when we got in.
Well, this Kwong Wah Yit Poh Cup is a inter-high school soccer competition in Penang and greatly that my school, Chung Ling High School went into the Final so I went there to give support to them. After so many years, the power of my school football team came back to live, only then they fought themselves into this Final.
Another reason of going there was that I’ve not been into the stadium before and this was my first time. Lovely and admission was free of course.
The game was at 60 minutes something when I arrived at the stadium. Found the Chung Ling supporters place and got a seat but later then I went near to the field to take some photos. It was Chung Ling High School leading the match with 2-0 to Jit Sin High School.
Things turned at the last few minutes when Jit Sin High School got in two scores. The anger and shockness raised among us, it was like “How could it be?” “What’s going on?”. Everyone on the field was tired and I believe Jit Sin High School just got lucky. It came to a tie or 2-2 when the referee blow it off.
During the few minutes rest before extra time, everyone was angry, disappointing, tired, energyless, TL and scared. I could feel that too when standing aside to take photos. Of course, blaming would not help at that time, it’s just playing hard for the next minutes.

Chung Ling High School’s supporters, again. =)
The cheers got louder and some even swear at the other team. It’s funny when you heard it, perhaps this is what they call support.
Unfortunately, Jit Sin High School got in first during the extra time. The goal that they scored made all the Chung Ling High School supporter silent and feels down for a moment. It’s the end that they think and keep hoping for another goal by Chung Ling for the rest of the minutes but miracle did not happen. The game ended with 2-3 and Chung Ling High School was the runner-up.

Sadness and tears appeared on everyone’s face. Hard to comment a lot but Chung Ling had played a good game after all these matches till the final. Hopefully and it will be, champion next year!
