CNY14 // Happy Horse-picious Chinese New Year & Gong Hei Fatt Choi – First time in my life, I don’t get to eat a sumptuous reunion dinner with my family. I am going to miss some of the least seen faces of the distance relatives, the ang baos are either being ignored or being kept in mom’s ‘pocket’ and will miss out tons of gathering, food and a mind out of anything. I am in the UK, an ang mo country, and there’s no such thing as Chinese New Year. I am just so proud of being a Malaysian that I celebrate festivity of multiple ethnicity.

Happy Horse-picious Chinese New Year & Gong Hei Fatt Choi
Of course, I do miss home, looking at the CNY ads on Youtube, and listening to the CNY songs will some times roll some tears in my eyes, the tear of missing home. But hey, I chose to come here to study for a year, means I’m prepared to experience the CNY away from home. It’s a tough one and I am grateful that I am here for only a year, so the distance of heading back home is not far away. Nevertheless, CNY is still ON for me, reunion dinner is off but a big feast with Malaysian is on! A visit to London’s Chinese New Year’s festival is also on and of course, the tune of CNY songs will be blasting out my speakers throughout the 15 days of the celebration in my dorm room. Dong dong qiang!Happy Chinese New Year to all of you. Stay healthy, stay wealthy, and have a horse-picious Chinese New Year! -

A Site Visit To Menara Binjai
A Site Visit To Menara Binjai – Actually it’s kinda cool for studying interior design as I get to visit many nice building located right at the heart of the city centre. Just a month ago, I went to check out a new Grade A office block located just right across of KLCC – Menara Binjai as part of my assignment requirement. I don’t really get any chance to own or work in a office in the city core just because I am not a corporate person. Have you ever came across any interior design firm with a strategic view of the city centre? I don’t think so.But then visiting the place and designing a space at these office would be even more interesting to me somehow, rather than working at there, Nevertheless, check out Menara Binjai. KL should have more of these high-rise building to dense up the cityscape like Hong Kong, Chicago, Singapore. Yeah? -

SUPERmoon
SUPERmoon – Did you see the moon last night? The pro call it the supermoon, I’ll just call it big-round moon. Surprised that I can hardly feel the moon is bigger, but then with the presence of haze, the moon last night somehow look beautiful, and rounder. OK, OK, maybe it’s because of the supermoon.
If you have missed it, nevermind, I’ve took photograph of it. Check it out.

Photograph The Star
Photograph The Star – I was at the temple at Klian Intan and found out that the place was very dark and has a good view of stars in the sky. So I took my camera, mounted on a tripod and set a long exposure and high aperture, trying to capture the star.
Not much of a success, but it seems to be one cool photography that I would like to try. =D Any tips on shooting stars?

Love For Beautiful Notebooks
Love For Beautiful Notebooks – I have some interest that I believe some of you have too and that is – NOTEBOOKS! I like beautiful notebooks and to be honest, I don’t really use them all. Now using a fabric one that I bought in Thailand and recently got 2 free notebooks from The Jekyl & Hyde Project and Lamitak. Although I already have a few empty notebooks, I still want Moleskin. I feel that it’s not really a good interest as collecting empty notebooks is not really useful especially when they are just lying there around unused. Hahaha. Some say a simple one does the job, but for me, aesthetic is very important, it must has style! How many notebooks are there? Including electronics one? Hehe. -

END OF WORLD IN PENANG?! – Cheh! The people who were so afraid of the doomsday are stupid, it’s 22/12/2012, where’s the doomsday? Where?! Tell me lah. Anyway, there’s a nice sign of doomsday yesterday in Penang, a huge rain storm happened in the evening, with torrential downpour and roaring thunder, as well as strong gust of wind, but it only lasted for 1 hour. =D So, hello to no doomsday.

No photoshop, taken from my balcony. Half rain, half no rain.
