Typo At Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur & Bought iPad Sleeve – Do you know Typo? Typo is a stationery & decor shop by the Australian boutique company Cotton On. I now only know it’s located at 4th floor of Pavilion, beside Snowflakes. Two weeks ago, I was in Singapore and I went to look for Typo at there too, never know that Malaysia has an outlet too.

Typo is now one of my favourite stationery shop because of the hippy, cool stationery like notebooks, pen, planner, accessories and more with cool graphics and typography. I bought an PU iPad sleeve at there too! RM60 only, to protect my iPad from, especially the Smart Cover from getting dirty. =D One thing, I realised some stuff here is kinda expensive compare to Singapore’s.

Singapore: New iPad, A&C, Marutama Ra-Men – Hello friends, I am back again! Went for a break lately as I was busy settling stuff to go back to Kuala Lumpur and I went to Singapore last weekend! I went there to collect my new Apple iPad, and also to visit my brother, walk walk & eat eat.

Now I go to Singapore almost every year, or once a few months, I don’t really know what’s nice to do at there. Mostly, just walkaround the same spot e.g. Orchard Road, Vivo City, and eat.

Singapore: New iPad, A&C, Marutama Ra-Men

I took the bus Aeroline from Sunway and I arrived in Singapore in the afternoon. Headed to my brother place right away in NUS and then I started molesting the new iPad. It, just feel so right and good, and sexy, but not really lighter than the old iPad a lot. Didn’t really get to play much about it as it was getting late.

There was a Dance Central Kinect competition going.

We went to Orchard Road for a while to check out some sleeve for the iPad. Brother brought me to Abercrombie & Fitch shop at Orchard Road, it’s so damn cool in it, the interior is very dark, products are shine by spotlight and music is as loud as in the club, you get a free Instax photo with the man model at there too.

    Marutama Ra-Men, Clarke Quay

Then we headed to Clarke Quay for dinner at a ramen restaurant – Marutama Ra-Men. It’s located in Central Shopping Mall. Brother told me they serve awesome authentic ramen.

Kakuni ($6) – Pork belly, it’s just so fattening, yet so delicious. You just can’t go without the juicy and succulent fat part.

Namuru ($4) – Pickles radish as appertizer, very sour.

In-house special – Marutama Ra-men ($12) with extra Ajitsuke Tamago ($1). The soup tasted very sweet and the ra-men noodle is very springy which I like. You can find char siu and plenty of seaweed in it. Best part is the additional Ajitsuke Tamago which is half boiled seasoned egg, the yolk is just half boiled and the white is a full boiled. Yums.

  • Big Big Cursor Stylus For Your iPad

    [youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40G3WkTaGN4]

Big Big Cursor Stylus For Your iPad – I found a very cool thing for your iPad 2. Instead of having a normal pen stylus, you can check out the Big Big Cursor stylus which looks pretty cute and cool for your iPad. It makes using iPad a new experience with the special big stylus which actually shaped like the mouse cursor on your computer screen.

Big Big Cursor Stylus For Your iPad

iPad actually built without the need of stylus, but then don’t you think with a stylus makes life easier using the iPad like drawing and taking notes?

Screen Shot 2011-09-14 at 4.17.52 PM

Well, you might think that it’s hard to bring around but you have no worry because it’s magnetic and sticks on your magnetic iPad 2 or you can just adhere it to the refrigerator as decorative purpose. No luck for old iPad 1 user like me.

  • How To: Install Facebook For iPad App

How To: Install Facebook For iPad App

How To: Install Facebook For iPad App – Facebook has released a leaked version of Facebook for iPad app in July. It was blocked by Facebook in less then a day and I couldn’t login to the Facebook for iPad app anymore. However, I have found a solution on how to access it and have been using it for a few days already.

Some have ask me where to download the Facebook For iPad app but then you don’t really need to download it as you already have it if you have the latest version of Facebook for iPhone on your iPad. You just need to do some tweak to change your Facebook to the iPad version.

One thing you must have is a JAILBROKEN iPad. Follow the instruction below to get your Facebook for iPad app. (Thanks to TNW).

    1. Check for updates to make sure you have the latest version of Facebook from the App Store. Also, backup your iPad in iTunes.
    2. Visit jailbreakme.com from your iPad. Jailbreaking your iPad is legal, but voids your warranty if you bring your iPad into an Apple Store. It’s easy to undo if need be. Just pug your iPad into your computer and restore it from your previous backup. (If you are running iOS 4.3.3, this will NOT work.)
    3. Once the jailbreak process is complete, tap on Cydia, that was just installed on your iPad.
    4. Tap the Search tab in Cydia and search for iFile. Download it using the button in the upper right hand corner.
    5. Once iFile installs, open it up, and navigate to the “var” folder of your iPad. Then go to “mobile,” then “applications,” then “directory.”
    6. Click the settings gear icon in the bottom navigation bar and turn “Application Names” to “On.”
    7. Open the Facebook folder within the “directory” folder you’re inside of. Once you’re inside the Facebook folder, open Facebook.app.
    8. Look for the info.plist file, then open it. Pick “Property List Viewver” to view the hexadecimal settings for the Facebook app.
    9. Look for the UIDeviceFamily field and select it.
    10. Delete the 1 you see, and put a 2 in instead. Tap “Done” to complete the process.
    11. Hold down your power button to reboot your iPad.
    12. Then go to Cydia again and seach for Faceforward.
    13. Download and install it.
    14. Launch your new Facebook app and you are now in.

Cydia hack to allow you to login to Facebook.

It’s a little bit buggy, Page is not working as it crashes but overall it looks good. But if were to compare to MyPad, MyPad seems better than this. Tell me what do you think after trying it.

  • Play iPad’s Tap Tap In IBS Class

Play iPad’s Tap Tap In IBS Class

Haha. I am posting photos taken during the Interior Behaviour Study class again. The class duration is like so long 4-hour straight nonstop and it is in the design studio. Loving design studio a lot! =D One day during the class while the lecturer was attending other group for tutorial, we played Tap Tap. I am still figuring how to download songs onto Tap Tap Revenge, any tutorial? =)

We were playing Lady Gaga Revenge for most of the time as it’s the only one that has multiplayer on my iPad. I don’t have songs in my Tap Tap Revenge though. Haha.

    =.=

The multiplayer that we played was not two person only, there’s like 6 person playing a single Tap Tap game because of six different fingers. =D

Then nothing much, went around to take photos, talk and wait for the tutorial from the lecturer.

And next week would be the last week for this semester, yet I have plenty of assignments to rush for! Due dates! Sleepless night! Coffee! Red Bull! OMG! Wish me luck and give me spiritual support. Haha.

  • A Visit To Apple Store, Singapore

A Visit To Apple Store, Singapore

Finally, Apple has open its first store in this South East Asia region, in Singapore. Being an Apple fan, it’s a must to visit the store and feel the beauty of the interior setting and architecture. Although they look the same throughout some other major store around the world, I could assure that the vibes and atmosphere will never bored you up.

My recent trip to Singapore, the main purpose was of course to check out this new Apple Store that was just had its grand opening not long ago, at the same time to make a purchase of the new iPad Pro 10.5! Yes, it’s slightly cheaper after TRS (Tourist Refund Scheme) by about RM200. So, why not?

But of course, if you are not buying any thing, still it’s a must to check out this beautifully crafted retail store that house a public space for you to chill and feel Apple, yes I mean feel, not experience.

  • Budapest: Must Visit Szechenyi Baths For A Dip

Budapest: Must Visit Szechenyi Baths For A Dip

Eastern Europe Trip // Budapest: Must Visit Szehenyi Baths For A Dip – Budapest is famous for thermal bath, if you are happen to be in Budapest, be sure to visit any of the bath to have a good healthy, hot dip! I never know it’s that awesome after trying it out at the most famous one – Schzenyi Baths.

The Schchenyi Bath is the largest medicinal bath in Europe which medically speaking, dipping in the water in a correct way and at a correct duration is good for health! It’s a must do, but we did not know the correct way of acquiring the health benefit from it, so it was just a fun dip in the hot water, enjoying part of the body immerse in warm and relaxing 37C water and leaving the head out in the freezing weather.

Local people go there for medicinal purpose, but our visit was just a fun dip. During the free tour, the tour guide was like showing off that there’s so many genius Hungarian, one of the reason is that they often take a dip in the thermal bath, guess this dip would made us at least gain a little bit of IQ. LOL.

Szechenyi Bath is one of the most expensive bath in Budapest, but it’s also the most famous one and the largest one, so I think it was quite worthwhile. Price starting from 3800HUF (RM55), quite expensive for a dip in the hot water, but I tell you it’s gonna be fun especially hanging out there with a bunch of friends!

Perfect weather, perfect day for a bath!

The beautiful road in Budapest, beat UK’s!

The House Of Terror Museum, a famous museum about Nazi and high rating on TripAdvisor too, too bad we did not get to check it out.

Passed by the largest ice rink again!

Welcome to the outdoor pool people! Water at 37C, and outdoor is almost freezing point at 1C, the feeling was just great, especially cloth of walking out of the pool back into the indoor area.

Holy moly! You can check out their bath party at night too, which happens quite many times around the year!

It was already sunset when we were done we the bath!

Time to go, back to hostel!

  • Taipei: National Palace Museum Is Not Really A Must-See Attraction

Taipei: National Palace Museum Is Not Really A Must-See Attraction

Taipei: National Palace Museum Is Not Really A Must-See Attraction – Despite that the National Palace Museum in Taipei is ranking 4 out of 130 in TripAdvisor, my experience told me that it’s not really a must-visit if you are not so much of a historical person.
The palace doesn’t looks like a palace inside. The museum is a very modern & contemporary gallery featuring all the artefacts from ancient China until today. I just find that the interior does not justify the element of historical artefacts. NT$160/person for admission was quite reasonable, but comparing to the free admission of British Museum is just so-so-so-so-so much different. HAHA.
There’s really a lot to see in the museum but I was just yawning through everything and joined the long queue of seeing the cabbage! ‘Why would people be queuing to see just a vegetable?!’ That’s the most special artefact of the museum, a jade carved into a cabbage-shape. Yeah, that’s it. One more thing, all of these were belong to the ‘original China’ before the born of People Republic of China, you can say it’s not originally Taiwan, but Chiang Kai Shek had did a good job preserving them.
Visit, or not, it’s up to you, I think it’s not really a must-see.
No photography inside, so there’s not much photos. =D
