Last Tuesday, after dinner, I went to Pasar Malam (Night Market) at Tanjung Bungah. It can be say as the nearest pasar malam to my place but residing here for so many years, I like have been there once and this was my second time going there. Pasar Malam is not available every night but only once a week. So this pasar malam at Tanjung Bungah is only available on Tuesday night, weekly.
I have friends that go to pasar malam every week because they live just stones throw away. Some does go to pasar malam everyday by driving to the location. I have already compile a list of pasar malam location for different day in Penang island. Scroll down to the end of the post to see it.
The Tanjung Bungah pasar malam is known to be the longest pasar malam with the stall placing surrounding the Tanjung Bungah Market.
There’s quite a lot of things to see and buy. Though the food stalls are still lesser than the pasar malam at Jelutong. Jelutong’s pasar malam is more famous for food.
I did not buy anything there but mom bought some fruits. It’s easier to walk around stalls at there, I think is because that the crowds is not huge enough yet.
Yet, it’s still nice to see there’s people around. Hope that more people can go walk at pasar malam to make the place more happenings. I love happenings places. =) We went back at around 10pm and some stalls were already started to pack and go home.
