Went to Visit a Themed House Which Is Still Under Renovation

Written by Nicholas Chan on March 25, 2010 – 6:01 pm -

The house will be like a themed house. I was free yesterday so I went to check out a very cool house which is still under renovation, will be done when I come back from NS. Woo!

  • There’s many flat screen panel, for entertainment and for display purpose.
  • There’s high tech toilet bowl with heater although here is a tropical country.
  • There’s a aeroplane head in the house.
  • There’s a 4 wall-mirrored toilet.
  • There’s a dining table with grilling service.
  • There’s pool table, game area and driving games.
  • There’s movie zone.
  • There’s nice indoor jacuzzi.
  • And more!

All-mirrored toilet.

Hanging aladdin seat to watch TV.

Lots of flat screen panel.

Jacuzzi in bedroom.

Now I most interested is the aeroplane head in the house, wonder how will it look like. Seems cool. Whose house? Come back in June when I get back from NS! =D

Visit Friends on Day 3 of Tiger Chinese New Year

Written by Nicholas Chan on March 4, 2010 – 1:25 am -

Spent day zero, day one, and day two with my lovely family and there’s no more family day on the 3rd day. Everyone at home seems like have nothing to do and for me, I went out early morning to Air Itam to meet up Fang Juinn who came back from Singapore, Chin Tatt and Hua Ken who came back from National Service for a short period during Chinese New Year. It had been a long time didn’t see them already.

Met a new friend, Wuan Xin, a friend of friends’. She brought us to her grandma house and her grandma was very friendly and chit chat a lot with us. She talked about her young and even showed us her traveling photos and photos when she was young. Real friendly old lady, can talk whatever with us, youngsters. I spent like whole morning at there, later on to another friend, Yong Seng’s house for a Chinese New Year visit.

They’re all my junior in Leo Club. A year younger than me, we eat, we play, we gamble. Chinese New Year is always about gambling, but I lose that day. Damn. Bad luck, Kenny won the most. After losing so many, we decided to stop. They went else where and I went to Gurney Plaza to walk around because I didn’t feel like going home yet.

Met people there. Walkaround and afternoon tea at there for a couple hour. Then it’s already evening already, went to another friend’s house again.

It’s Chen Yuen’s house at Perak Road. So nice that he was at home and I received ang bao again. It’s the last stop of friend’s house visiting of the day. Me, Ammerlynn and Chen Yuen was actually at there waiting other friends to come back to Penang so we could had dinner together. After dinner, I went to the cinema with my brother to watch Percy Jackson. It’s really tiring afterall, run here and run there, but then it’s fun and filled!

Chaiwei’s Pre-Birthday Celebration and Happy Birthday

Written by Nicholas Chan on November 14, 2009 – 10:36 pm -

This happened on last Saturday but the actual birthday for her is today, so happy birthday Chaiwei, a wish from me via my blog. So last Saturday, I went to Chaiwei’s new place, she’s a friend, and she has just moved to a new place lately. It was actually little house warming steamboat get-together lunch, but the cake was surprise because I didn’t know about that. So it had become more likely a pre-birthday celebration plus mini house warming.

I am bad at describing a person, she’s a friend, I met last year, a good one, friendly, nice and pretty! Don’t play play, a lot of guys fall for her. XD (You can submit your application form for wanting to know her in my comment area. HAHA)

Well the main thing is still about the day. It’s steamboat lunch and I have been eating steamboat a lot! This was already the 3rd time in these two months. The first was with Chien Chern them, then with my class, then now at Chaiwei’s place. I dislike steamboat last time, somehow it’s getting fun where you can play with food in the soup, ha! But then, I’m getting a little bit bored of it, it’s time to go for something else, BBQ perhaps?

Oops, happy birthday. =)

Fifth formers, friends, how’s everyone’s studies going on?

Visit to Khoo Kongsi for Free During Chinese New Year

Written by Nicholas Chan on March 12, 2009 – 1:05 am -

Do you know that during Chinese New Year, there’s a Chinese New Year Celebration in downtown Penang and during that time, you can visit the Khoo Kongsi or known as Khoo Clan House for free. During usual days, they charged a fee for going into it, I’ve never been there during not-free day. =)

My grandma used to live in one of the houses here long ago. The Khoo Kongsi is actually a small residential area for the some of the Chinese long long time ago. Though, there’s no one staying here already and had became a tourist attraction. The state government said that the house in Khoo Kongsi will be refurbished and to be rent out for tourism purpose.

I was here last year, and this year I didn’t want to miss the chance to go in for free again. So I was there alone at first only then I met up with Yong Seng and Victor for a while.

It’s a beautiful little heritage place inside.

Going further inside, I met these kids Chinese drummer. They’re cute and I asked them to smile for shots. =)

I met Giu Yun and her dad there. There were so many people in Khoo Kongsi, mostly taking photograph.

Later in the evening, there was a Lion dance show. I didn’t know about it until my second visit to find my parents in Khoo Kongsi at night. That time was very crowded, I can hardly move around and the problem was I couldn’t get in front to take shots of the lion dance, so I could only stand far away.
