Away to PLKN (Day 67): After Chen Yuen’s 18th Birthday At The Penang Ferry
Written by Nicholas Chan on June 2, 2010 – 1:05 am -After Chen Yuen’s 18th Birthday dinner at Tao, Autocity, we went back to Penang island. But then, we didn’t go back by bridge but we went back by the ferry instead. We didn’t to reach Penang so fast and want to blow some sea wind, so went to take the ferry. The toll rate are just almost the same, only that ferry is FUNNER.
We were early and we had to wait for 30 minutes for the next ferry to arrived. OMG, so we started up queuing at there. Then we found it’s bored in the car and so decided to went down around the ferry terminal to take photos. Very lame of us.

Acting cool, Prison Break, Heroes, whatever.
Where were all the girls? Sleeping the car. OMG. The ferry came and we hopped on.

Again, another ghey one. 100% straight FYI.
Thank you for the birthday invitation Chen Yuen. Love it, like it, that day and night was so fun! Midnight was even funner with Left 4 Dead together. We kept on losing was because the computer at there sucks. Haha.

Away to PLKN (Day 63): Chen Yuen/Raykee’s 18 Birthday at Tao, Autocity
Written by Nicholas Chan on May 29, 2010 – 12:49 am -On Chen Yuen a.k.a. Raykee 18th birthday, he invited me and them to Tao at Autocity. He invited us but the driver for that day was Arron. He drove his 7-seater Naza to drive everyone go. Oh yeah. The attendees for the birthday night at Tao was me, Arron, Raykee himself, Chien Chern, Zez Chien, Yiphing, Sher Reen, and Jane.
Everyone dress up very smart and pretty that night. I like that feel. From Penang Island, passes the bridge to Autocity is not very far only, it’s 20 minutes drive from the bridge. Near and I love Autocity. There’s many nice restaurant.
Tao is a Japanese restaurant that has ala-carte buffet style dinner. We need not to take our food, we just ordered and eat-all-we-can for just a price. RM50++. The place was pretty crowded on a Thursday night, luckily we reserved a place or else no place to sit already.
One funny thing that day was we keep discussing whether to go to Tao at E-Gate or Tao at Autocity and I kept calling the place to change the reservation. In the end, we picked Tao at Autocity.
It’s my first time going to Tao, Autocity. I have went to Tao at E-Gate a few times already and I found this place rocks. The Autocity’s has a better interior design and the atmosphere is nice. Our place needed us to take off our shoes like the Japanese does.
It’s eat-all-we-can and so we kept ordering. The girls didn’t eat much though, guess they have a little tummy. We were there from 7pm till 10pm. Really very long.
At some part of the dinner, I dropped my phone somewhere, I was so nervous and luckily Jane found it and Yiphing kept it. Woah, I really must be more careful already.
Present giving time:
Group shot time:
Forgot to mention the waiter, Alan was really very friendly. Good job.

Away to PLKN (Day 62): Morning and Afternoon to Dim Sum and Gurney Plaza
Written by Nicholas Chan on May 28, 2010 – 12:19 am -It’s Aw Raykee’s birthday! Two months ago, which happened on 18th March 2010. Raykee is Chen Yuen, Chen Yuen is Raykee. Cool Christian name he had there. Mom and dad was away on this day so I was alone and free to go anywhere. Haha.
On that morning, we went to our favourite dim sum place which is the Dim Sum House at Anson Road to had our breakfast.
There’s the MAGNIFICENT SIX, me, Chien Chern, Chen Yuen, Arron and Yiphing. We ate and talk. Didn’t feel like eating a lot that morning, no idea why. Then we went to play Left 4 Dead 2 at FTZ Cyber Cafe. FYI, that was the first time of me playing Left 4 Dead and learnt how to create a room.
There’s one time wanted to play the game but no idea how to create a room. Really noob. Haha.
After that we went to Gurney Plaza. We actually wanted to catch a movie but the queue was so damn long, hate it and so we decided not to watch already. We just walked around and went to eat our afternoon tea at there. Then we also met some friends too.
It’s school holiday, so could see many people at the mall.
Then I brought Chen Yuen to Top Shop to pick up a shirt for night’s birthday dinner at Autocity. Pretty cool, only then we went home to rest and prepare for night. Yeah.

Coffee Island is a cafe on Gurney Drive somewhere near my place. The party started at around 8pm. It’s not really big party, it’s like invite everyone and come and eat together. Since it’s sweet sixteen, it must be many people right.

Met new friends too and talk talk talk a lot.

Away to PLKN (Day 37): Pre-Birthday Karaoke for Alvin’s 18th Birthday
Written by Nicholas Chan on May 3, 2010 – 12:28 am -This happened on the today of two months ago, 3 March 2010. =D Since I am NS right now, I have plenty of time to post it up, sorry for all the outdated post. Hopefully after NS, everything will get back on track.
So on this day, of two months ago, it’s Alvin Yang‘s birthday eve, we went to Red Box for karaoke. He’s my buddy that I’ve known him for like 5 years in high school already.
Early morning, I went out for breakfast with the usual breakfast people, Arron, Chien Chern, Yiphing and Chaiwei.
It’s Old Town Kopitiam at Penang Times Square. No idea why choose there, but then Old Town is not my favourite place already. I don’t really go there so often as before, eventually it’s always not in my eating list. I feel sad for Penang Times Square because there’s so many coffee house and restaurant, but still very quiet? I was there too early?

Amanda, Joanne, Sher Reen and Yiphing.

Charles and Amanda, lovely couple.
Then in the afternoon, we went to Red Box karaoke, my favourite hang out place. ^^ At first, there’s me, Arron, Chien Chern, Yiphing, Zez Chien, Tee Jin and Chen Yuen. Alvin came in an hour late because he had class. Then Charles, Amanda, Joanne and Sher Reen came in to sit for a while only and take photos.

Actually it’s not really what big birthday celebration, because there’s no birthday cake. We treated Alvin the Red Box and wishes “happy birthday”, he didn’t sing much though, but me as usual, always sing a lot. Haha.

Alvin, Arron and Tee Jin, all siao kia.
Happy so-belated birthday. Shit, I am not in the photo. >.<

Away to PLKN (Day 25): Ker Ying’s 18th Birthday at RED
Written by Nicholas Chan on April 21, 2010 – 1:09 am -NS! Around 80 more days to go. Very the long!
Shit, this was like a few weeks ago, sorry for so long no update your birthday, Ker Ying. =) On the very nice 2nd day of March 2010, at night, Ker Ying called me to RED KTV and Lounge at Belissa Row. She said it’s not really a birthday celebration, but somehow we already assumed it was and there’s birthday song too, just no cake!
It’s my first time going to RED. She told me how fun, how nice the place is and asked me along to check it out. Woo, it’s a lounge down there and up there is KTV. So basically, we sing on the upstairs and downstairs, people sing for us. I love KTV a lot and we had so much fun that night.
Met people like Mig, Terrence and Ernie. Gonna thanks Mig for the beer that night. ^^

Ker Ying and Sheue Yen who was still in her air stewardess uniform.
Happy belated-birthday girl! It’s second year celebrating your birthday together already. Last year was at Manila Place and Segafredo. =)
Sorry guys, more belated-birthday write-ups are coming up. Hehe
