Away to PLKN (Day 39): 5SA1 Gathering and Farewell For My NS
Written by Nicholas Chan on May 5, 2010 – 10:43 am -Seems like among the peeps that attend the gathering, it’s only me that go to NS. I requested for a gathering and a farewell for me before going to NS on 25 March 2010. Because Ee Teng who went to Singapore came back too, we had the 5SA1 class of 2009 of Chung Ling High School gathering at Jin Jie’s house.
Although not everyone can attend, I am still happy there’s still people around. You know, after high school, everyone busy with their own things and very hard to get together. Got 10 person can consider many already.
We first gathered at Jin Jie’s house to wait everyone to arrive. Then we walked to the coffee house to had our dinner. After that walked to another coffee house to eat Chinese desserts. Yummy!
Of course, with so many boys together, it’s talking and eating only. Actually gatherings are always like that only. Nothing much.
When we got back to his house, there’s satay bought by Jin Jie’s dad. Delicious and we talk again. Everyone was like talking different topic, some talk about studies, some talk about girls, some talk about games and some were gambling. LOL. Chinese New Year is over already.

LOL, don’t know what they were doing.
Waited for Jing Min and Young Hean who came late then we took group photos, only then I went home.

Young Hean, pro basketball player.
Hope there’s more gathering in the future. 5SA1 rocks right?

Away to PLKN (Day 32): Part 2 for 5SA1 Farewell and Gathering
Written by Nicholas Chan on April 28, 2010 – 10:00 am -It’s now come to part 2 of 5SA1 Farewell and Gathering. Here comes more photos and less words. I don’t know what to write already. Please forgive me. Haha.
So to talk about this in short, we had farewell and gathering on last year’s 31st October at Town Steamboat Restaurant. There’s 41 classmates attended and teachers which include Ms Chin Wee Kem and her husband, Ms Tan Lon Eng, Ms Kang Kul Lee, Ms Teh Phaik Keow, Mrs Goh and Mr Ong Chin Hua.

We love taking photos with Jing Xiang. Why Miss Kang face like that?
Ms Teh Phaik Keow very give face to us because for all the while, student invite her to farewell or party, she won’t go and she said this time was the first time for her. Nice!

Cheers with tea. There’s no alcohol so we took Chinese tea to replace alcohol. Yeah!

Photo before teacher went home.
The photo session was like never ending, we kept taking from start to the end of steamboat. Everyone was addicted to my camera. Seems like there’s only one camera appearing at there, no one want to take photos, and I had become the photo man and the 400D had become the official camera for the event. LOL.

At first, it’s only Ms Chin’s husband drink tea, Beng Tian and Young Hean then join in with him to drink together, then in the end, everyone went to drink tea with Ms Chin’s husband. Haha.

Miss Teh Phaik Keow, you rocks. My Leo Club advisor, my Add Math teacher, my Math teacher, my Form teacher. Woo.

Powerful Chee Pherng, carrying heavy Ee Teng.

Bye Bye Mr Ong. My Moral got B+. Oops.
I miss every of you guys, serious!

Away to PLKN (Day 28): 5SA1 Farewell and Gathering at Steamboat House
Written by Nicholas Chan on April 24, 2010 – 10:02 am -This is super late and this happened on 31st October 2009! Yeah, that’s my class biggest farewell and gathering. It’s the last time we all together hang out and eat together. After that, no matter how many gathering, it will not be in full amount. Even that day, Guan Thye was not there with us. Sad.
So on this day, I went to Prangin Mall to meet up some of the classmate first. Jing Min was there to check out spectacles while Beng Tian and Young Hean went to arcade gaming. I went to join the fun of everyone! Only then at 7pm, we went to Town Steamboat Restaurant which is pretty near to Prangin Mall, less than 5 minutes drive.
I was pretty late already because when I arrived, everyone was there already, they were already there as early as 630pm.

Me receiving the cash prize from Chin Wee Kem.
To spice up the night, they started off with lucky draw of cash prizes. Congratulation to all the lucky winner include me. Haha. The money actually come from us. We paid for the gathering and the t-shirt, you see our t-shirts are all the same, so we have some money left and turned it in to lucky draw’s cash prize. Yeah! I received RM10. Lucky man.

Shi Jie, Shaun and Yong Chieh.
We also had entertainment like singing. Zuan Fu and Adrian brought guitar along and Juan Shong printed a lot of lyrics for us to singalong. Really very fun and very noisy!

Act cute pose of us, Hock Sheng, Beng Tian, Khai Hern and me.
Keep eating, keep taking photos, keep screaming, keep shouting, that’s our gathering.

Don’t dare to show face because gambling. OMG.

Playing with the toy on my bagpack.

Acting cute again with Tee Jin in the middle.

See Juan Shong’s face, he’s so high.
Took too many photos and will continue to part 2. =) Stay tune and will be back.

Last Day of SPM, Day 9
Written by Nicholas Chan on December 22, 2009 – 1:15 am -Last day of SPM was a crazy day. My mind was so relax on the morning, the night before was nervous but as soon as I stepped into school, everything goes off. It’s just last minute, I know means know, I don’t know means don’t know. Everything goes along with the feel of the Chinese paper. To be honest, my Chinese has never been v very good, but I still trying to be my best.
There’s 2 paper for Chinese paper, one is knowledge, reading and comprehension based and another is writing part. I like the writing part, I can just express everything according the feeling, with a little bit of Chinese novel style because I have been reading a lot Taiwanese novel lately.
The paper was really hard (for me), I don’t have confident of getting an A but I really hope if I can get one, it will be like, un-describe-able excited. Don’t wanna talk about the result, we’ll see in March. If it’s good, for sure I’ll tell you guys, if it’s bad, I’ll… see first. =D

I had my special blogger friend to handle my camera on that day and he’s Gen Yong. He came to school to help to rearrange and clean up the mess after the exam because he’s in the school service group. I passed my camera to him and let him shoot around during the exam, it’s better than laying inside my bag pack right?
On the last ten second, the exam classrooms were not quiet, everyone was counting down for the real END of SPM examination. It was memorable and fun. We ended everything in the middle of the day at 12.45pm. Gonna remember the time, it’s a very historical time for me.
A very relaxing ending, I did not rush home. Took the time very slowly and drove to Simon’s place for lunch and we went to karaoke in the afternoon! The usual stuff we always do after exam. I guess I can’t do it next time already, because everyone is going to different colleges and school. So sad, a little bit.
One more thing again, Chinese paper 1 sucks.

Day 7 of SPM
Written by Nicholas Chan on December 4, 2009 – 1:20 am -Thursday was another of SPM 2009 and it’s day 7. The paper I had was Physics paper 1, 2 and 3. I didn’t drive to school because the car that I usually drove went to the service centre for cosmetic enhancement and car service. So mommy had became my driver once again, thank you.
I arrived pretty early in school today, 45 minutes before paper start. I thought everyone was late today but in fact they went inside the class early to read. The school has stopped putting up little station for temperature check and hand sanitizer, they have now move around with their thermometer to every student one by one. Great.
My comment on Physics paper was I didn’t know how to do 3 question. Feeling bad for it man because I did not study enough. Argh. Hopefully, I still will get 1A for it.
I got only an hour and a half for lunch and I didn’t drive. I went on Shi Jie’s car and we went to McDonald’s at Farlim for lunch. We didn’t want to go to Greenlane’s McDonald’s which is nearer because there will be a lot of students as there’s 4 school around it.
We thought the Farlim’s would have less people but we were wrong. It’s full house and most of them were from my school. We had to sit outside then, no AC and enjoyed hot afternoon day.
Two more subjects, Chemistry and Chinese. 8th and 14th December. =)

Day 1 and 2 of SPM 2009 Were So Far So Good
Written by Nicholas Chan on November 20, 2009 – 1:18 am -So, I am currently sitting for an examination, a test, a big one, once in a lifetime and it’s the SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia or more likely a O Level equivalent examination). I have been studying like crazy for the past few weeks, cramping as much facts as I could into my brain, finally 3 have done and 7 more to go which makes, I don’t know how many days left, but the whole thing will end of afternoon of 16th 14th December.
Everything was scary at first but as I started getting my hands on the pen, things change and so far, so good. Cannot be sure that it will be excellence, but it’s not bad, still doing good. 2 scary subjects, Malaysian History and Malay have gone.
English was pretty fun, especially the writing part. I wrote on the question of “Write a story ending with : …We said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.” I didn’t thought of writing a story, normally I would write an argumentative essay and blast all my own thoughts and philosophy, but things became different. I went for a story, the last time I wrote a story was 2 years back.
Interesting, I wrote something about war and uses some medical term and borrowed a small bit from Grey’s Anatomy. Woo! Hours spent on enjoying Grey’s Anatomy during last weekend paid me off. Yay. Love my story and enjoyed every moment making the story out.
Weather have been not so sunny lately and it chills during the morning, when all the FOUR fans in class fanning at full speed. I thought it would be hot sitting in the class, but it isn’t. I guess the one in the hall would be colder because of the air conditioned.
Time duration for English and History were pretty long and everyone was just like lying on the table, sleeping, napping for the past 45 minutes and for History, some struggles till the last minute.
And I forget to mention that before going into our exam classroom, we must have our body temperature check and have our hand wash with the provided hand sanitizer. Face mask was provided too. It’s an preventive measurement for A-H1N1, good one.
Have fun, enjoy, happy Malaysian school holidays.
