We are quite powerful. On a lovely Monday morning, Yiphing, Shereen, Chia Yee and me went for a walk in town. It was Yiphing’s idea to go take photo and my idea to walk. We met at KOMTAR bus station and start walking towards Penang Rd, then into Chulia Street, then into Love Lane, then towards Pitt Street, then to Esplanade, then into Beach Street then in the end we say bye bye at Weld Quay. =) Long walk but it’s a good exercise.
If it’s earlier, it will be better. I arrived at KOMTAR at 9 o’clock and it’s still chilly on the street, with a little cool breeze.
We walked pass the Chowrasta Market, the K Len Na Ban San on Penang Road but we didn’t go in.
We didn’t really plan our walking trip, it’s just walk along the way to Esplanade. We got into Chulia Street and to Love Lane. Then we had breakfast there, later then we walked out of Love Lane into Pitt Street where the Kuan Yin Temple is.
Of course, we did stop by, pray and go.
When we walked till the end of Pitt Street, which is also known as Jalan Masjit Kapitan Keling in Malay, we found the St George’s Church. There’s a big not very green field, we spent like half an hour there, taking shots.
Later then, we cut through the Court House into Esplanade. I found the temporarily built tennis court was still there and for fun, I went to take a photo there.
Next stop, after having lunch at one of the food stall with Yiphing’s delicious Nasi Briyani, we went into Beach Street where all the banks are. It’s getting late and hot and we wanted to go home, so we were actually heading to the bus station at Weld Quay.
We did not head straight to the bus station but to the Tanjong City Marina where the mini yatchs are parked. That was our last stop before saying good bye at the bus station beside the ferry.
