I got my first DSLR, a Canon 400D !

Today is a happy day. I got my first DSLR! It’s a Canon EOS 400D. Dad, me and brother went to the camera shop at Komtar there. Why Komtar? Because some forumers from LowYat.Net recommends me to go to that shop lo. I hate going to Gurney and ask for camera already, because salesman there is so unprofessional, rude and price is expensive. I think because they see my gina (kid) face, so don’t even bother to serve me, don’t want to serve me it’s your lost. Haha. Too bad for them.

Price during the camera fair also not that cheap at all though service during the fair is good. The main concern is price + service, must good gives good service and good price. Service very important la, if you are not friendly enough, sorry I won’t buy, if want to buy also beh shiok (uncomfortable).

I bought my 400D at Click N Snap *recommended* in KOMTAR. Really good service, Matthew was friendly enough to do the explanation on the camera, price and everything. Giving me a good price also, cheaper than what they quote me during the camera fair few weeks ago at Gurney Plaza. Looking for camera? I am new to photography. Not so new, it was last year that I got my semi-pro camera. Then need to step 1 step further already, upgrade to a DSLR! Digital Single Lens Reflex. It’s an expensive hobby though, a lens cause over 1k and sometimes more expensive then the camera itself. I realise that I don’t game that much already, PlayStation 3 and other gaming things goes down from the top to the bottom of my wanted/wish list. Not so priority already. Game is still must have, but next time when I got money first. No money how to buy?

    Well, at least you admit to your English standards. Why in the world would you want to use a DSLR at your age? No offense, but you making any money from it? What’s the problem with your 1 year old semi-pro? You managed to use and understand all the functionalities on that machine? Your dad must be plenty rich! Spoil brat! Sorry no offense, I just thought it’s appropriate!

    Why can’t I want a DSLR at my age? I am learning photography, I am new to photography so I need a camera to do photography. I hope I can make money from it, via my blogs of course. Nobody knows what the problem with my semi-pro camera, my camera lens/glass dropped and it has crack on it right now. Even though I still can shoot something with it, but just a little hitting, the lens will come out again. I can’t do much with semi-pro already, it has its limit itself. So I need an upgrade and by the way, rich we are not. I share the payment with my dad, so I do pay part of it. Just FYI, I am not rich nor poor. =)

    Hmm…Click n Snap is the best place to buy camera stuffs… My bf & I got so many stuffs from there too! Yup. Matthew and Jackson. Cool guys. I think its cool u own a dslr at your age! its so much fun and can take GREAT pictures… :-)

    Hi! Stumbled upon your blog through ShutterAsia. I got my 400D last year too, in early October. Good to see people this age interested in photography like me as I’m 15 this year.

    I noticed you got the 18-55 kit but the box says body only. My box says it’s the kit. But I did get a Canon EF 17-40 f/4 L USM lens as my standard zoom recently so my kit lens just sits in the drybox. All I carry around is that and a 50mm 1.8 II.
