Camera fair at the mall in Penang is just a camera playground for you, personally, I prefer not to buy from there, or at least do some price survey and camera research on the net, friends and family first. They might con you into some cheap model, although it’s cheap, the quality is not good. DSLRs are always expensive at the camera fair, try to find a professional camera specialize store, they will provide you good advice and price too.

Last weekend, there’s a camera fair going on. What was cheap was the 4GB flash drive which was selling at RM24.90, limited unit. I’m not sure about the camera since I’ve already have a camera with me already. I didn’t get any flash drive for myself too, because again, I don’t need it, I have many 1GB flash drives. Haha.

Look! My teeth are on the screen. =) Just photog through the camcorder screen with me in front of it.

In the coming month, my friend and friend, both are also my friends, friends from the Leo Club have organized a blood drive on the 7 of December 2008 at Kheng Tean Primary School. I am just in charged of some simple task like the flyer designing and the preparation and design of certificate of donation.

Back to that last Saturday, we gathered around and went to blocks of flats at that area to paste on blood drive poster and to drop in our flyers into the letterbox.

There’s too many letterbox and we didn’t have enough of fliers to drop in so what we did after that was just simply pasting of the poster on the wall. The posters were given by the hospital and we were just need to fill in the blanks for the detail of the blood drive.

There goes my Saturday morning. Saturday was pretty hectic to me, because I still need to rushed to the New Wing of Gurney Plaza to check it out.

Okay, this was me without anything on. I was shopping at Prangin Mall and the spectacles that did not come with any lenses on a fashion boutique shop caught my attention. I’ve always wanted a glasses to make me look more serious, but it’s way too expensive for me to get one. It’s always last on my shopping list. Then I found this plastic one, without any lens and glass on it, seems cool and I bought it up, as a toy and for fun. I don’t look serious, but I look like batboy.

Here I am with the glass-less, lens-less spetacles. =)

So this year, I’ve joined the International Penang Bridge Marathon again, I was there last year. This year is my second time and I just love the fun so much. Thousands of people running (some walking) together on the long stretch of highway and bridge is just so nice.

Some of my friend went to the half marathon which is actually not 25km I believe but a few km more than that. I am not a stamina guy, so I was the 10km fun runner. My plan was having the camera with me but then I’ve forgotten to bring my sport sling bag, so no big camera. It’s just the small N95 camera and me.

Unfortunately, my phones ran out of battery. So I don’t really get to cover along the route, it’s just some part until the bridge then the phone ran dead. After it went dead, it’s the time for me to walk and run fast. I wanted to ask Yiphing.net to help me take photos but she was too slow, so I went on on my own.

The fun category is for everyone of any ages, covering 10km running route, starting from the Pulau Jerejak Jetty then to the highway, then to the middle of the bridge, a U turn then back onto the highway then to Queensbay’s open carpark.

I woke up at 5am, have a changed then I and Andyooi walked to the Pulau Jerejak Jetty, it’s just stone throws away. Some of my friend on the half marathon category did not get any sleep, they just went walking around the mall in the middle of the night until the event started. I wonder how did they do it.

Registration was just taking a simple piece of yellow band for tagging on your wrist. Then we waited. In the mean time, there’s music, DJ and balloons for everyone.

The Digi balloon guy said that I could have as much balloons as I want to, so I took a bunch from them, it made me a balloon guy.

Some walk, some run. I assumed that there’s around 10,000 people in this 10km category. At some times, runner from other categories (25km, 43.5km) will join you on your side, they started early and in the end joining you running at the same time.

Fun run was walking on the bridge for fun because basically, you don’t really have the chance to walk on the middle of the road of the bridge. Peoples were busy taking photos but I was not. The scenery is nice but it was little too hot comparing to last year’s run, the sun rise a little bit earlier this year at this time.

There’s ambulance, St John’s and Red Crescent members at some point of the bridge providing instant first aid service and there’s free isotonic drinks too, though I didn’t get any. Keep running then.

It’s a good run. After getting to the finishing line, I got a certificate of participation and lots of free isotonic drinks. It then started the lucky draw event where the first grand prize was a Proton Saga. No luck for anything of it for me, the probability of being drawn was 1/16000 and there’s a lot of people went back before the lucky draw so it’s always redraw, redraw and redraw.

Now stuff are getting more high technology. Do you know Chinese Opera that is on during some Chinese occasions like the hungry ghost months or some Chinese God’s festival. I don’t know what is it now but there’s a Chinese opera showing at a temple near my place.

I was on the way home and might as well went to take a look. Surprisingly, I saw a vertical LED bar hanging on the stage beside the opera singers. When the Chinese opera singer singing along, the wordings on the LED display changes, obviously it’s lyric for the song they were singing.

Thanks to the display, I can now understand what they are singing. If I am not mistaken they are singing in the Teochew dialect, I don’t speak or listen to Teochew. So high tech man!

The Esplanade in Penang was supposed to be light on and there will be a lot of shouts from the crowds of tennis fan seeing the King Of Tennis event here.

Though, it’s cancelled, no moe tennis for you and they are taking off the tennis court. From what I’ve known and read in the newspaper, the players were held back because the organizing side did not pay the enough sum of money that was required. So no players, no tennis, no event.

State Municapal wanted it to be taken off ASAP. I passed by the Esplanade today and only seeing the people were busy removing everything.

Click n Snap is where I got my lovely Canon EOS 400D. When I go there to ask for something or look for something, there’s always a bunch of people coming into the shops. Making it looks like there’s a lot of customer but there’s actually only one who is really looking for something. Haha.

It’s a vertical banner about a massage and slimming center in Prangin Mall, somehow it’s a stupid idea pasting Jolin Tsai’s photo on it. So unreal and unprofessional.

Mostly you do see girls like camwhoring or taking photos in the bathroom, toilet, WC, washroom, rest room or what ever related room it is. And now, there’s me with a big camera, in the toilet. Haha.

I have a friend that read on a paranormal book before, the book said that never take photos in front of the mirror because you might see some paranormal weird stuff, a head perhaps, or a hand in the image form in the mirror. Believe it or not?
