Visit to Friends’ Place on Day 6 of Tiger Chinese New Year
Written by Nicholas Chan on March 15, 2010 – 1:00 am -Woo, I still have many to talk about the recent Chinese New Tiger Year. It’s fun, it’s shiok and it’s nice! On the sixth day of Chinese New Year, brother went back to Singapore already, I am back to being alone again, always look for friend. So on this day, I went to visit to my friend’s house, or also call bai nian where people visit to others’ house give orange and take ang bao.
First stop of the day, after dropping brother at the airport, I went to Alvin’s place, a friend that I knew like 5 years back. He was just awake when I was there and looked stim stim, but cute.
Then, me and Alvin went to visit Yiphing, spent like an hour at there, talking and I played the piano. I am so noob, someone please teach me how to play.
Next stop was to Jin Jie’s place near Yiphing’s place. It’s his new home but it’s only open during Chinese New Year. Pretty nice place, though no idea why his family doesn’t want to move it. I saw a lot of my high school mate there, very happy to see them, especially my 5SA1 friend, Hock Sheng, Yong Chieh and Beng Tian.
Gambled and won. Really happy. ^^ And I found pop-pop fire crackers at there, it’s like so long that I didn’t play this kind of thing already, let me see, it would be like 6 years already.

Beng Tian! Still so funny.
Thanks Jin Jie for inviting me over. So miss my high school friends now. So-so-so much. Last time, we were in a classroom all the time, everyday also get to meet, but now, no chance already. Everyone always busy with their own thing. I guess we need more gathering.
So after Jin Jie house, it’s some break time. I actually went to the camera shop to get some gear, then meal at Prangin Mall only then go to the last house of the day and it’s Jen’s house. The Leo Club friends had a BBQ dinner at Jen’s place and I went there with Alvin. So basically, Alvin was with me the whole day.
We were there late and luckily food were BBQ-ed and I need not to spend time in front of the fire. ^^

Victor, why you laugh like that?
Eat, eat, eat. There’s chicken wings, satay, chicken pie, potato, lots of soft drinks, and marshmallow!
The last part was funny, it’s seeing Kooi Jin making jokes in Jen’s room and Wan Pei pillow fight with Kooi Jin. HAHA!

Chung Ling High School 2009 Graduation Day, Before Official Ceremony
Written by Nicholas Chan on January 27, 2010 – 11:56 am -This post was supposed to be updated during the school holiday last year in December, I was so busy and forgetful, so before I’ve forgotten, I gonna write it up and share with you guys. As you know, I am no longer in high school right now, I’ve graduated from my lovely Chung Ling High School and doing nothing right now, waiting for SPM result and will be going to college soon.
Sad? Yeah, but still life has to move on. High school was fun and have to say that it’s the most fun schooling part in life, better than primary school or kindergarten, I am not sure about college or university but for sure, I’ll still make fun and enjoy every part of it. =) So guys and girls out there who are still in high school, please enjoy every moment and study hard for it, it’s short, it’s the only time where you need not to worry about other stuff, people make decision for you, you just need to study and play. That’s the two thing.
In November 2009, the school have a graduation ceremony for the Form 5s (me), Upper Sixth Form and the Year Six students of Chung Ling (Independent). This day was an exciting day to me, I thought I will be sad, but all my mind were fill with “Let’s take photos, let’s take photos and see you”. It’s not really the last day for us to meet because the days after, we had a week of school and 9 days of SPM.

If I were to sad, it will be already few weeks before, thinking of high school was going to end soon. Anyway, that day was fun. For the first time, I woke up pretty early and meet up a few friends, Shaun, Jin Sheng, Hock Sheng, Tee Jin, Shi Jie, Young Hean, Yong Chieh at Greenlane McDonald’s at around 6am for a breakfast before going to school. It’s just for fun, not really for eat. I don’t have appetite when I wake up early in the morning.
Then off to school. See a lot of cars and I have to park my car far far away at the back of the school. The front car park were closed for VIPs and teachers’ cars have to move to the back. All students have their tie on, good hair styles and teachers were in good look too, make ups and nicely dress. Once in my lifetime, yearly in teachers’ lifetime.
The official ceremony starts at around 9am, I reached school at around 7am and the atmosphere was noisy. Everyone was just talking and busy taking photos so as the post goes on, you will see many photos of handsomes, not saying me. And friends, sorry if I missed out your photos because I took too many photos that day and won’t be posting it out. Though, you still can check out your photos at my Flickr set.

One the way coming down from 5th floor to ground floor, he jumped around in the lift.
And even did push up. Bravo bro.
If you are new here, you might wanna just figure it yourself who is Simon Cheong and who is Chien Chern. Hehe. I just like being 17! But so sad, high school ended.

Video: Don’t Eat My Pringles
Written by Nicholas Chan on October 10, 2009 – 1:28 am -This is a video submission for the contest by Nuffnang and Pringles.
We spent like a very long time in the school toilet, a little bit yucky but it’s very clean because we went there after the school cleaner went to clean it. After shooting for a long long time, the video is out and it’s only less than a minute. Enjoy.
Funny part is still the NG part and behind the scene. Hahaha.
It’s krrunch time, get playful.

It’s Krrunch Time, Get Playful
Written by Nicholas Chan on October 3, 2009 – 1:45 am -
Hello people, it’s KRRUNCH TIME!
As you know, school is always boring, it’s just studying, reading, listening, sitting, watching, dreaming and sleeping in class. When a person gets boring, productivity gets slow down, what you think, what you do in school also will be in slow mo.
BUT, have you ever think of something fun, happy, smiling, playful, naughty? That’s life, life must be always about fun and happy and enjoy.
So here, on a usual day in school, I brought along the Pringles, the famous potato chips in a can to see what it will happened in class.
Everyone was just there doing usual things like talking and sleeping because trial exam has already over and teacher does not really teach right now.
I am not selfish and the Pringles were for everyone in fact. Just trying to make something fun in class, have something to munch with while going through some boring time.
When I bring some high tech gadget to school, friends in class would not really get excited. I think it’s probably because that there’s nothing much they can do with only ONE high tech gadget, another reason is, they are not so tech conscious. But food is different, whenever there’s sweets, bun, bread, anything that can goes in the mouth not tasteless, everyone get excited and started shouting, “I want! I want! I also want!”
Even those who were sleeping illegally in class woke up and ran for the Pringles! It may not be the smell, but it’s the krunching (crunching) and the FEEL of Pringles was around.

Pringles really gets people playful and fun. It was just a boring class, with teacher not teaching, but correcting the exam marks, then after opening up the chips, they got excited, they got naughty and even eat behind the teacher! This is really bad.
At first it was just one, two, three person that got their hands on the chips, then it’s four, five, six and eventually the whole class got to crunch in their mouth too.
The people was so kind and even treated the teacher the Pringles chips too. You can see the smile on the face of everyone. =)

That was not selfish but this is selfish. Haha, one person eat so many.
The playful, exciting, happy and fun spirit did not just get over after they cleared up the chips. I am studying in an all-boys school and when there’s no female student around, boys tend to get very naughty and can do up a lot of thing.
Like…
Feeling a little bit of gayness. Haha.
Try taking a can of Pringles to your class and see what will happen. =D
Disclaimer: The above photos are for contest purpose only and what you see does not really happen in our everyday school life. Eating in class is illegal but somehow, the truth is that there’s actually people who eats in class. Read smart.
