Hi peoples, I’m Nicholas, a 16 year old teenager residing in the little island at the north of Peninsula Malaysia - Penang.

I’m currently attending Form 4 of class 4SA5 in an all-boys Chinese school in Penang - Chung Ling High School. I love and hate my school. Love is I got many friends and the school is huge and fun and hate is there’s no girl.

I’m a Malaysia-born Chinese and able to speak a few languages and dialect like English, Mandarin, Malay, Hokkien and Cantonese. I speaks Cantonese at home because my family members are Cantonese. I like my country but then I hope to have a better Malaysia. It’s not perfect yet, still not satisfying at the moment.

Soccer/football is not my cup of tea. 22 people chasing a tiny ball in a big field. It’s boring. Though, I am a Manchester United supporter. =) I don’t really play any sport games, I’m lazy person. I do play badminton with my brother, to the gym sometimes and I go to swimming once a week

I have different interest with other boys in my school. I think this is because that I’m too crazy to the technology stuff which makes me sounds weird here. I read technology news, I even stay up late till the midnight to catch a live technology/gadget/video games press conference update etc. Apple events, E3 games conference. I think I’m the only most tech-savvy teen in class. I’ve even think of living in San Fransisco and working for one of the computer/tech-related company there, but that’s impossible because I know nothing about programming.

I spent a lot of time in front of the computer and now I has 2 monitors in front of me which makes surfing the net easier and navigating through my IM contact list faster. I chat a lot, surf a lot, blog a lot and I read a lot. All thanks to the Internet. I’m just in love with it. I have to be connected most of the time, or else I will think that I’m outdated.

Love For Photography

I became involved in photography just over two years ago and now I own a DSLR to maximize my creative abilities. It’s fun doing photography, but it’s not a popular hobby among my friends. I also know a bit on video editing, so I takes video too. I prefer photography over video because video editing takes a lot of time. Owning :

Collect gadgets

Being a tech-savvy teen, I love gadgets. Owning a few iPods and a PSP which give me some pretty good entertainment on the go.

Gaming and Entertainment

I love enjoying myself at home. Though the main problem is money. I’ve a acceptable entertainment system in my room, cheap one for me to watch the latest DVD and music. I don’t really game a lot nowadays, keeping myself busy with many the blogs and I only play some casual games. I am not a hardcore gamer.

One thing I need clarify is I am not anti-social. I am pretty a pro-social person. I love crashing peoples party, attend social events, hang out in the mall, go to the cinema and anything that has to do with friends. I’d love to have many friends.

In school, I am active to 2 CCA clubs and that is the Leo Club and the Young Enterprise.

Nicholas Chan’s Blog, the title gives you pretty much of what this site is all about. It’s my blog and I showcase my (noob) photography work, blog about my school life, share some interesting stuff like videos, jokes and news.
