Wesak Day Eve to Penang Buddhist Association
Written by Nicholas Chan on May 24, 2009 – 6:41 pm -Right after we went out from Penang Times Square after the Astro Golden Melodies Concert at there, we went to Penang Buddhist Association at Anson Road for a little prayers in conjunction with the annual Buddha festival, the Wesak Day. Usually, back years, we did our prayers on the actual Wesak Day, but this year we change it a little bit and it’s the day before.
It’s nothing, it’s just depend on whether you are free or not to go to do the prayers and it’s not compulsory. It’s just a religious believing.
There were so many people went to offer their prayers, hands with joss stick, candle and flowers. I bumped up with some of my school mate too. It’s more happenings then at the Times Square there.
This was my first time going into Penang Buddhist Association too. Great. I offered a lotus candle for blessing, wishing for good health, good studies, good relationships and good life. Hehe.
