Labour Day’s weekend with family dinner

Written by Nicholas Chan on May 3, 2009 – 8:50 pm -

Last Friday weekend was Labour Day’s holiday and it seems like everyone came back home to Penang. It’s actually not everyone, but it’s still a little family members get-together dinners over the weekend. There’s my mother’s side and also my father’s side.

I’ve decided to turn on black and white on my camera and take some shots in the restaurant. It turn out prettier than colour because I uses highest ISO setting in indoor and the noise on a black and white photo is lesser than a colour photo.

I went up north to Sungai Petani to visit my auntie there and had our family dinner there.

My cousin had recently bought himself a second hand DSLR too, it’s a very old model but it’s still functioning pretty good and it’s more or less then same. It’s a Canon EOS 300D. I believe he is the second one in among the relatives who get a DSLR. I was the first. Hehe.

Standing in the middle of the two men is the China man who operates the restaurant, Golden Door in Sungai Petani. The dinner was really long, it’s like 3 hours. It was long because the interval time between each dish was long.

Going next was Saturday’s night dinner with daddy’s side family. This time was in Penang and it was really fast. Haha.
