Lunch time in Georgetown
Written by Nicholas Chan on November 26, 2008 – 10:36 pm -My plan to wake up at 9 o’clock in the morning fails because I woke up an hour later. Slept at around 2 and I set my alarm at 9 but it didn’t work out a lot. It’s just a flip and the phone turns silent and another flip, silent again for the snooze but I’ve accidentally press the Stop button and everything went silent in the room.
I continued my sleep.
Until it’s getting hot as my AC automatically turns itself off in the morning, I woke up at around 10am. Onl then I remembered mom actually said that she wanted to bring me to town for a breakfast. It turned up brunch for us.
First stop of the day was a brunch meal at Campbell Street. It was quiet, it’s not like the past where this place was actually very happenings only until the BN developers took back the shops at Buckingham St which is down Campbell St.
Hello uncle. It’s just some random street shot from the car. If I stick my camera out, I’m scared of it being snatched away by some Mat Rempit or I dropped it to the ground, it’s always not safe.
Hello trishaw man. I wonder, if there’s still any trishaw man left in Penang in ten years time. I dare not imagine that. Every where is growing and notice the tram way on the right? I don’t understand why the government want to take it off at first. Tram is cute, tram is good, tram is efficient, bring back the tram!
Then I went to the bank at Beach Street. It’s a nice miniature Central Business District because most of the banks are there though, offices in Penang are quite randomly place, there’s no true CBD for Penang. Seriously, they need to revamp Beach Street, there’s a lot of ugly building. It’s only HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank building are pretty, IMO.
Remember Union Street? I took a photo of this place before, like 12 months ago.
Stick no bill but paint your wall please.
After going to the bank to drop in some cheques, I went to the nearest food court to buy the famous Nasi Lemak on Beach Street.
Before getting back onto the car, I passed my camera to mom and she took a shot of me. Ha! I was at Beach Street. That’s conclude my lunch time.
I wonder if you do notice or not, one or two or three photos here are taken from my mobile.
