Movies Talk:4BIA
Written by Nicholas Chan on August 26, 2008 – 10:58 pm -I realised I’m quite a frequent movie goers and I watch a lot of DVDs. So I might as well share little review of must watch and not to watch movies with you guys.
Today is a public holiday and so I went to the cinema. I am a fan of Asian horror movie, especially those from Thai, Japan and Korea. Even though I don’t understand what they are talking about, there’s subtitle and I still get some scares.
I’m not gonna talk about any spoiler, it’s just I recommend or not for the movie.
What I watched today was 4BIA. A Thai horror movie by 4 different Thai horror film director, one of them is the director who film the famous Thai horror, Shutter which was ported to Hollywood film this year.
4BIA is actually a film out of film. There’s 4 mini story in the 2 hours film which all talk about curse, ghost and sort of horroriffying storyline. Story is quite simple in the film which make it straight to the point, there’s a couple of parts that scared me off, and I don’t like some CG (Computer Graphic) in one of the story.
Overall, it gives good scare and with a little of humour at some part in the film. Now, I finally know why Yahoo Movies classified it as comedy after horror.
So far the best horror movie is still Thai version of Shutter.
Movie recommended. I can still go to bed tonight though.
