Blackout at Queensbay Mall

For the past 2 days, I have been working out at Queensbay Mall. As part of the Young Enterprise team, I was actually a salesboy and also customers. Just as today where my shift was in the morning, I was excited though I sold nothing, because there’s wasn’t much passers-by in the morning till noon time. It was just Hello and Thank you. They didn’t even bother to take a look.

Just at half to 1pm, all the lights in the mall went out. All the crazy students at the YE sales fair was shouting as if they were on a roller coaster. Of course I believe it’s a fake shout, it was just for fun because I shouted too. It was not a common scene, the last time I came across such event was in 1 Utama in Kuala Lumpur for like 10 minutes and today was the 2nd time.

Air con went out, lights went out and I started to see lights from the mobile phone and torch. Well, guess it’s time to take a break. I and friends were walking around and making fun with other stalls people. It’s getting longer when time passed 10 minutes. I wonder if the blackout happened in the cinema or not? I had friends went to watch The Dark Knight and indeed he called and asked me to go to the cinema area to see the crowds asking making their refunds.

Too bad for everyone, all movies at before 1pm have to be refunded. Just as I reach the cinema floor, the lights came back on and also the AC. It was hot up there. Well, a friend told me that it was not Queensbay Mall that was blacken out, it was the whole area of Bayan Lepas too.
