Siam Paragon

It’s Siam Paragon and I guess everyone know about it, it’s one of the most beautiful, better looking mall in Bangkok other than Central World. 2 years ago, I did not go to any shopping mall, it was more likely a sightseeing tour and this time, it’s all on shopping.

If comparing to the shopping mall in Malaysia, it’s like Suria KLCC or the new Pavilion. It’s nothing like anything in Penang, there’s so much designers brand in there and every shop is so nice and big. Even the basement store that sell dairies looks so high class.

Well, I don’t really have a shopping list that time, so it’s just walking around, looking around and does window shopping. I was surprised when I got on the second level, it’s all the luxurious sports car lying in front of me. You will never see that in Malaysia. It’s like a heaven for auto addicts, I am one of them but it’s cool checking it out.

We were just glancing in through the shiny clear glass, we didn’t dare to step in at first only until we saw people went in, then we followed. Haha. Dad loves BMW and so we checked out BMW.

Even though it’s a working day, school day for them on that day we went to Siam Paragon, I could see that there’s crowds in the mall, it’s not like here in Penang where shopping malls are a little bit quiet on weekdays. You don’t want to check out Prangin Mall on a weekday night or the carpark at Gurney Plaza because it’s almost carless at the basement.

There’s a IT show going on at the Paragon, what a coincidence for me, since I loves gadget, I loves electronic and does my brother, we went up to the exhibition hall to check it out.

Don’t know on what reason, we were not allow to take photos inside. Since it clearly stated that no photo, then fine. Afterall, it’s boring in there, nothing much to see, everything was in Thai and I couldn’t read it. It’s just handphones, cameras, a lot of LCD TV but no video games.

A big mall without free Internet connection is shit. Yes, it’s shit. All of the Wifi connection there required a payment to use the service, even Starbucks Coffee.

Nice mall, good looking, it’s smaller than Mid Valley Megamall, but it’s nice to walkaround inside. Everything is connected, it’s next to smaller mall, the Siam Centre, then a 5 minutes walk will takes you to Central World which is a bigger mall. I like that place. =) I guese this place is the only place I like about Bangkok because it’s the cleanest place in Bangkok.
