Written by Nicholas Chan on March 25, 2008 – 11:18 pm -I jump jump jump all the blog post for the Hong Kong trip 2 weeks ago. I got hell lots of photo to upload. This is a the negative part of loving photograph. I took over 2000 photos during the trip and I have to view it all, choose nice one and upload to the net to share with you all.
Anyway, forget bout the upload part. On the very 2nd day of my trip in Hong Kong, we went to join the half day city tour which was complimentary from Cathay Pacific. I hate tour, because they will take you to all the souvinier shops and buy buy buy. But since it’s free, so we just take it.
Well, The Peak was actually the last stop of the half day city tour. I haven’t talk about before at Repulse Bay, Hong Kong Chai and straight jump to The Peak. Don’t mind right? Hehe.
The Peak is like Penang Hill but of course it’s cooler than Penang Hill. Besides just looking around at the view of Hong Kong from the toppest part of the island, you can do some little shopping at the small shopping mall on top and drink some coffee there. Or visit the wax musuem. I did and I gonna talk about it soon. Hehe. Took a lot of pictures in wax museum.
Hong Kong is a nice city with many high rise building and residential, but the bad part is it’s hazy all the time. You can hardly get a good view of the whole city, unless after a torrential downpour.
Even though there’s sun shine, it doesn’t really heat up because of the cool air moving around. Love that weather so much. If Penang Hill is well maintain like The Peak, for sure I will go there when I’m free, for fun! XD
After wax museum, camwhoring everywhere, we took the furnicular train down hill straight to the city. Penang here also have furnicular train at Penang Hill but it’s older. The one at The Peak is real clean and spacious.
The special part is the train serve just like a public transport instead of just taking tourist/people up and down hill. There’s 4 stop in between which let’s passenger to alight on different roads and too, Hong Kees can pay with their own touch and go card, the Octopus on the train. A little walking from the last stop or the Peak Tram station, you will arrive in Central.
