Tua Pek Kong Hoey / Kean Teik Tong
Written by Nicholas Chan on January 7, 2008 – 10:20 pm -Yesterday afternoon I went to Armenian Street to eat Koay Teow Thng, there has a good Koay Teow Thng stall there in a kopitiam at the junction there. Don’t know any of you guys know or not. After having our KTT, mom suddenly said want go to the Tua Pek Kong temple also known as Kean Teik Tong there, right opposite the kopitiam there to pray and see.
Dad says it’s the oldest Tua Pek Kong temple in Penang. Cool.
That place isn’t very big. A temple, with 2 levels. Nothing much there, just some goddess statue inside.
Surprisingly, there are secret passages. Not only one, but 2. But then it’s blocked. Nothing to see. I think the passage led to the other side of the wall to another house only, cause I thought people build secret passage underground one mahh.
From second level of the temple, I can see KOMTAR! So shiok nyerr! HAHA
Sometimes going around town can see many nice buildings and stuff, look for some nice day, good weather, let’s go for a one day Georgetown tour. LOL. Want or not? *I always say for fun only, last time I and friend plan want go around town in holiday but somehow we never talk about it during the holiday. Talking is fun!*
