Form Fours (at the moment)

Written by Nicholas Chan on January 31, 2008 – 12:13 am -

Many of my friends are already complaining about the life of Form 4 sucks. But is it really that sucks? In my own opinion, it sucks a little bit but still can go through it. Form 4 is just more subject to study, more to write, more to do, more to learn. Everything is more more more, no more objectives question for my exams, everything must be keep in my personal hard disk drive in my brain.

Before Form 4, Science was only 1 paper and now it has divided into 3, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I am cool with Physics because it’s just the matter of calculation and formula, while Biology and Chemistry need to test my memorizing skill which I dislike memorizing facts. I can’t do anything, I have to memorize all those stuff. Besides that, subject that has facts can easily score A in exam as long as you imprint everything into your head. It’s just the matter of time. Need more time to do the study and memorize the facts.

Maths is nice at the moment. I love challenging maths question though I may take some times.

I am now taking an extra subject, which mean, learn more, do more, more A’s? Haha. At the moment, I have Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Additional Mathematics, Modern Mathematics, Malay, Chinese, Moral Education (suckers), English, English for Science and Technology (useless), History. 11 subject in total and now add 1 more into it and that is ICT (Information, Communication and Technology).

Taking this subject is mainly because I want to learn more about computing which I has a strong interest on. According to the teacher, the paper is easy. I hope it is, but whatever it is, I hope by taking this subject will gain my computing knowledge. I just don’t want to learn useless stuff like what is a Windows, what is computer and blabla basic computer shit. I still don’t know what I’m going to learn about, hope there will be coding/programing. =)

Trying not to stress myself. My study life is very simple. I don’t really work a lot on my homework. I copy more than I do myself. XD, except for Additional Mathematics and Physics. Hehe. I’m a lazy person but when comes exam, I’m gonna do last minute works on my study. By the way, I believe over 50% students do last minute study too. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Less than 30 days till first term exam. Getting ready for it? NO! Forget about exam first, let’s think about what to do during Chinese New Year. Wee~

Tour around my school

Written by Nicholas Chan on January 28, 2008 – 10:55 pm -

Everyone went home after the nomination day and I walked around the school alone armed with my camera and starts shooting. Now school, next time gonna be my apartment, I haven’t went down to take a walk for a long time already, perhaps I should.

Not much people where there in school that day. Wonder why. Anyway, too many photos already, check out all of the photos at my flickr set.

Lock at some class. School has already fed up with lost locks and so now they just chain it to the door. No more lost and found case for padlocks.

I squad down until my knees to shoot the long gao (drain), it hurts by the way, but I like shooting low.

Broken gloves outside the canteen, I’ve seen this 2 years ago and it’s still here. What for?

As you can see, there’s no vehicle park on that day. Where’s everyone go?

This is my friend Bernard. He is a good boyfriend as he stays back in school to boil phone porridge with his girlfriend cause he don’t have a phone at the moment.

There’s actually many CCTV in my school, some are as cheap as above, but some has infrared. Though, nobody actually sit in front of the monitor to monitor the whole school. Only do some records.

This was the stairs that I used to go to my class last year. I’ve moved to another block and I miss that.

Basketball game in my school. I was too noob to join them. So, I’ll just stand aside and shoot them.

Labs with no teacher and staff. I don’t really feel like going to lab most of the time as the main reason is because I am lazy to walk there and the experiment is not interesting (at the moment). Rather stay in class.

It’s not the toilet one, but it’s the one at the canteen. Haha, don’t always think that I like to shoot toilet only.

Check out more here.

Lesbians

Written by Nicholas Chan on January 28, 2008 – 9:42 pm -

In ancient times the metal copper was associated with the Roman goddess Venus because of its visual appeal. Copper's ancient alchemy symbol became a sign for both the goddess and the planet. It was later also used to represent the female in biology and popular culture. Here, it is doubled and twined in symbolic hues of lilac as a sign for lesbian.

Today I want to talk about Lesbians. By the way before I start, I ain’t homo or brokeback. Woohoo. The reason I want talk about it is because I’ve met some homo girl friends lately. They are all in their high school, and not surprisingly studying in a all-girls high school and this topic idea came in to my mind when I went to shit this morning in the school toilet.

At first, I thought the lesbians thing was rare here among the students, from 1 friend to another friend, my homo girl friend circle grows. I know some, not a lot, but from them I can see that their school is packed with homo peoples.

I’m not going to say which school it is, some all-girls school in Penang, Chinese ed. The most common combination goes like this, a girlish one and a tomboy type. Haven’t really met a girlish + girlish.

My thoughts on this “problem” is :

  • They seldom interact with guys. Primary school that time is all-girls, secondary school that time is all-girls again.
  • Had been fool by guys for a lot of time and fed up.
  • Influence by friends.
  • Too bored in school. Looking for some entertainment.
  • Need a love life, but found no boys in school.
  • Natural born? The magnet got problem already, S attract to S.
  • What else?
  • Not mature enough yet? Still fooling around.

Some friends are proud of being a homo now, I mean girls (at the moment). I personally believe that after secondary school, to college, they will be back to normal. Mostly, not for those natural born type, since there’s guy chasing them.

Anti-lesbian? Not really, still friend them, can take them in mind. Homo already change the nature life cycle already, there’s no South Pole attract to South Pole. Anyway, as long as human live happily can already. Respect is the word for me to use. My mind is opened. LOL.

Share your thoughts. No offence if I’ve said something wrong. =) Happy Lesbianing? ROFLOLMAO!

Walkaround at Queensbay Mall

Written by Nicholas Chan on January 27, 2008 – 11:06 pm -

Last Wednesday, I went to Queensbay Mall to watch Cloverfield. It was the first time watching a movie at the Queensbay Mall. Movie was nice, but the cinema was not so awesome. I still prefer the one in Gurney Plaza.

DSC01745

I feel bored there, but not as bored as when I am in Gurney Plaza. Walk around the whole mall, window shopping, nothing to buy. Checked out some shirts, spent half an hour in Apple store playing with the computers and iPods.

It says No Photography. I still remember got one time, I took out my cam, the security guard in the mall warn me not to take any photos. Oh my god, what’s with them? Help them do free publicity also don’t want.

Don’t care. I snapped this pro uncle was doing his artwork at the centre zone of the mall. Pretty cool.

I went to the arcade too. =) Queensbay is going down? It’s located on not easily to go place. We need more malls in Penang. But the good thing about Queensbay Mall is the parking is only RM1 no matter how long you’ve park your car and many nice restaurants too. =)

Smile

I’ve been loving to take photos of myself with the big camera on the mirror nowadays. Am I becoming a camwhore now?

Chair

Do you love antiques furniture? If do, feel free to visit my dad’s furniture shop at Jalan Air Itam and Gottlieb Rd (Ethnic Furnishing). =) Hehe, say my name and you will get discount, I’m serious.

Shadow

Written by Nicholas Chan on January 25, 2008 – 12:12 am -

Today, I prepare my gear - my camera and lens, put inside my sling bag and I went to tuition. I told daddy I want to walk home after tuition but somehow, mom came to fetch me after all. I actually wanted to do some street photography while walking home, but mom was there. So, no chance today.

Shadow

Then, I came back home and it was dusk, sun settings and I took a couple photo of my shadow on the wall. Not so cool, but it’s just for fun. Haha.

Peace

Peace
