2nd Gen iPod Shuffle Hands On

Ladies and gentlemen, baby and elephant, she and he, auntie and uncle and all, here’s I gonna show you 2nd Generation of Apple’s Ipod Shuffle featuring 1GB flash drive, aluminum body and claimed to be world fallest mp3 player. Brother in Singapore just brought home this powerful little toy, after 1 hour of playing it, I’m gonna review it here. Of course a positive answer I got here and yes, Singapore is selling cheaper than here in Malaysia around RM50. Before starting, here’s 2 mouth watering photos taken by my brother the day he bought it at Asia largest Apple Store, iShop @ Orchard Rd, Singapore.

Packaging of iPod Shuffle, simple and nice.

The first generation of iPod Shuffle was like a bar of chocholate or the size of Kit-Kat. This 2nd generation of Shuffle has made a great improve to a very small size, just like a small rectangle eraser or smaller a lil bit than the 2″ screen of a Digital Camera. So you can now bring this toy to school without teachers or prefects notice. Hahaha.

iPod Shuffle is not mainly about how many songs in can take in and what song you choose next. It got no screen and you don’t really able to choose what song to choose next except if you memorize the song playlist. It will be fun to guess the next coming up song and you’ll start your randomize life. Bored indeed will go away because you no need to listen the same playlist ordered song again and again. And this is why they name it iPod SHUFFLE.

As you can see through the photos, iPod Shuffle will be like a clip and you may use it to work as a bookmark. So buy 1 for every book you read, haha. I am not that kind of person. Besides, you can clip it on your pocket, jacket or jeans like show on Apple website.

So, it uses iTunes Music Player to sync music to your Shuffle instead of normal mp3 player which uses the Drag and Drop Method. This is better because you can manage your playlist more well with iTunes, I used iTunes since 2 years ago eventhough I don’t have a iPod but my brother do. The special part is you don’t notice there is not a USB port, they provide a dock for you to connect to your PC/Mac, the dock will connect into the 3.5mm headphone jack. Can’t believe a headphone jack can transmit data.

Indeed this is a good player, though people will said they don’t like it because don’t have a screen to choose the songs they like. However, isn’t that fun to guess your next song? Let’s just give it a change. And this is a very nice design and tiny which is the beauty of it. The price is affordable which is RM399 in Malaysia and of course cheaper in Singapore and some other country. - Review by Nicholas C.

LOL the new iPod shuffle looks better! At least it broke out from the conventional design (rectangular, no clip, slim and long). I like the fresh new look, although I must say that it got a little bulkier (since “fatter” sounds to be derogatory for Steve Job’s newest invention).

Wow your brother bought it for you! Cool! Haha you better love it! XD
